Chapter 611 - Bathe a grown man?

Yun Xuan paused in her tracks, trying to comprehend what he meant. 

He didn't speak again for a while so she probed. "What about it?" 

"I don't want those weird nurses to come close to me. Could you..." 

Lin Ye paused mid-statement. If he straight up asked her to help him clean up, it might sound lewd. Not only that, his body would definitely bertray his feelings for her if he felt her touch his skin. In actual fact, just the thought of it was able to rile his senses. What would happen if she actually did it? 

Yun Xuan waited for him to complete his statement. He was not going to ask her to bathe him, right? 

Even if it was because he was a patient and she was taking care of him, it was way beyond reasonable boundaries.

Although she was not an innocent little girl and it wouldn't be her first time seeing or touching a man's body, it was still inappropriate if the man was not in any relationship with her. 

"Could you help me contact my butler?" He finally spoke again.

"You have a butler?" Wait, he had a butler? Why didn't he ever look for his master all this while? This didn't make any sense. Of course he would have at least tried to find his whereabouts. How come nobody told her?

Yun Xuan suddenly felt cheated. 

Lin Ye didn't think too much of her surprise and went on. "Yes. That female doctor said that she made sure my phone didn't ever run out of juice in case someone contacted me. I'll tell you the password and you will help me contact my butler." 

"Didn't he ever try to contact you?" Yun Xuan couldn't help asking. 

Lin Ye suddenly realized that this might have been one of Lin Lihua's trick. She must have told the servants at his villa to not try to contact him. He could only go along and make up the following nonsense to avoid causing a war: "They cannot call me. Only I can call them and it doesn't matter why they want to contact me. It's a rule in the villa." 

"Oh." Yun Xuan wasn't shocked about it. In the Yun mansion, only the butler could contact Madam Yun. If the others had anything urgent to say, they had to let the butler pass their message. It was also limited to one call in a day to avoid distracting her if she was at work. 

However, "You shouldn't have such a rule. What if something really urgent happened?" Her tone was full of disapproval. 

"I will retract that." Of course, such a rule didn't exist to begin with.

"Where's the phone?" 

It suddenly downed on Lin Ye that the screensaver of his phone was quite 'interesting'. 

If she saw that... 

His stomach chose to growl at this time, saving him from the storm that would have started brewing. 

"You should eat first. I will call your butler later." 

When she was done feeding him, Lin Ye had come up with a better idea. "How about I  get discharged earlier? I'm okay anyway."

Yun Xuan didn't read too much into it. It was expected that he would be uncomfortable about letting someone else access his phone. It was meant to be private after all.

"I will help you with the discharge procedure. You can rest for a while."

Lin Ye lay back down obediently and waited for her.

On his own now, a strange feeling started to creep in. He felt useless. Why was it that he needed help with such a basic thing as bathing? He was now relying on Yun Xuan like a baby would. That wasn't accurate. Even Yun Feng could clumsily pick pieces of fruit on his own and eat them.

He was worse off than a one-year-old. Was he still a man?

'Stop thinking about it!' He scolded himself. He could not let himself get depressed over this.

At that moment, he heard footsteps that were not Yun Xuan's. He listened to them carefully for a while.

"Boss?"

Wan Jia was startled. Lin Lihua was right about him being able to recognize people's footsteps or scents.

"Do you feel better?"

"Mmh. I'm being discharged. Xuanxuan has gone to get the discharge forms."

Yun Xuan returned at this time, and the man on the bed gave a small smile, "Oh, she's back."

Wan Jia couldn't help raising her eyebrows. Was it that obvious?

"The doctor said you can leave when you are ready to." Yun Xuan reported, before saying hi to Wan Jia.

She had brought a wheelchair with her. Since Wan Jia was here, Yun Xuan no longer felt awkward. They helped him onto the wheelchair.

Yun Xuan tugged at the white piece of cloth around his eyes. "I'm going to take this off, okay?"

Lin Ye nodded. His world filled with light when Yun Xuan untied the knot.

At that moment, his heart was filled with a sudden ray of hope. He smiled slightly.

However, his vision was full of white light and that was it. He didn't see the colors  he had expected he would see.

No hospital equipment, no Wan Jia and no Yun Xuan. Just white light.

His hope was shattered once again.

When Wan Jia saw his eyes, she could swear that they were alright. Only after taking a closer look did she realize that they didn't look like they were focused on anything. It was as though they were lost in some blank world.

"I drove here. I could drop you off at your house." Wan Jia offered to ease the tension.

"Mmh." Lin Ye was still sad from his disappointment just now but he agreed nonetheless.

"However, I have a meeting to attend within one hour so I will only drop you off. Xuanxuan will help you settle in." Just like Lin Lihua, she didn't forget to drag Yun Xuan into spending more time with him.

Yun Xuan, who had not been asked for her opinion in this, was speechless.  

If she didn't know better, she would think the Lin sisters were trying to match make her with Lin Ye.
