Chapter 631 - I want to leave

Let alone Yun Xuan, even Tyler was shocked. What did this blind cripple just call his son? 

"Although your eyes have no purpose but decoration, your brain should be working fine, right? How can you simply call another man's son your own?" 

Yun Xuan narrowed her eyes. 

The nurse at the side: "Did you guys hear what I said?" 

Yun Xuan was afraid they would be kicked out. If that happened, they would be the ones to lose out since Tyler was on his way out. "Let's go. Lunatics of his sort are not worth our time." 

On that depressing note, Yun Xuan made her way to the doctor's office.

As one would expect, she was lost in her own world the whole time. She only reacted when the doctor finished checking on Lin Ye and reported that his condition was nothing different from what it was a month ago.

She was shocked. "What? What do you mean not different? It has not improved in the slightest?"

The doctor looked regretful. "While there is some improvement, it is too little to determine anything."

Yun Xuan racked her brains. Logically, she hadn't been doing anything significant and neither had he. How was his health supposed to improve then? "I see. Is there anything that can be done to make him get better soon?"

"Indeed there is. I have prescribed a diet plan for him. If you make sure that he follows it strictly and takes his medication on time, his muscles will be strengthened with time and he might be able to stand again."

"What about the eyes?" Of course. This was important too.

The doctor didn't look optimistic about this. "I cannot promise anything; you should see a specialized optician about this."

"I see." Despite her disappointment, she clung onto this last shred of hope.

As for Lin Ye who heard what the doctor said about not being sure that he would ever use his legs again, he was not upset. Oddly, it made him touched or even happy to some degree.

Especially when he heard just how concerned Yun Xuan was, who in his shoes wouldn't be happy?

Once back home, Yun Xuan went through the diet plan. With the help of the maids, she stocked the fridge with the necessary ingredients.

In the end, Lin Ye gave her a credit card. "Use this next time."

Yun Xuan knew he was talking about buying ingredients for his meals. She shook her hands in embarrassment. "It's nothing. Groceries aren't that expensive anyway."

"You should really take it, otherwise I wouldn't be able to live with the guilt of living off a woman."

Yun Xuan laughed at his antics. Living off a woman? Can he not make it sound so weird?

Still, she took it and kept it safely in her purse, along with his diet plan. She had taken it upon herself to be in charge of his meals.

When everything was settled, she took his hands, absent minded playing with his fingers.

"What's on your mind?"

"Thank you for helping me out today."

Although all he did was announce that Yun Feng was his son, it was enough to plant a seed of suspicion in Tyler's heart. He believed that Yun Feng was his son simply because he was Yun Xuan's. But if another man claimed him so openly, he would have doubts about it. Moreover Yun Feng took after his mother almost entirely and it might be difficult to find any traces of resemblance to his father.

Men were sensitive to such matters and Tyler was no exception.

Lin Ye knew this, and that was the exact logic he used.

"It's nothing." He said, before holding her small cold hands. "I'm sorry. In the heat of the moment, I blurted out such words." He was referring to how he altered Yun Feng's name to Lin Feng.

In the next moment, Yun Xuan pulled her hands from his, a flicker of disappointment flashing in her eyes. "You just said it… in the heat of the moment?" You didn't actually mean it?

She couldn't bring herself to ask the second part.

Lin Ye was preparing himself for a scolding from her but was dazed instead. Her tone… why did she sound disappointed?

Not concealing his joy, he let out a cough. "Not exactly. I've always wanted to earn the right to call Little Feng my son and change his surname to Lin."

"Really… you have?" Yun Xuan's heart that had just shattered pieced itself back.

"Every single day. I thought you would be mad at me for calling him that without your permission."

Yun Xuan pounced into his arms when she heard that. She had become fond of hugging him lately. Lin Ye felt giddy from the sudden attack and held her in a tight embrace.

In just a few short days, she seemed to be more accepting of him. At this rate, his confidence was starting to build up. Even if she married him simply for the sake of giving her son a surname, he knew that she would truly fall in love with him one day. Perhaps that day was not too far off.

"Lin Ye, I want to go back to Country G." She suddenly looked up from his shoulder and said.

"What?" Lin Ye was shocked.

"Although I felt the place was unfamiliar the first time I went to Country G, it's really not a bad place. I got used to the environment and I like it. It would be great if I went back… I wouldn't have to worry that Tyler will one day be able to prove that Yun Feng is his son and take him away. Moreover, Yun Feng was born there; he will get used to it quickly."

Lin Ye listened to her go in circles with her words and didn't know what to say to her. "Are you listening to yourself?"

"Yes. I want to go back. I…"

She paused and looked at him. His head was tilted to face her, but his eyes were empty.

"Come with us."

"What did you say?"

Yun Xuan's voice lost all the confidence it previously held. "I want to take you back with us. Will you… do you wanna come along?"

Lin Ye was obviously not expecting such a request from her. He was taken aback. She wanted to emigrate together with him?

"I would love to." He finally said.

"Really? Great. Then I will prepare the travel documents. We can leave as soon as possible."

"But I'm not going."

"Huh?"

"Neither are you, Xuanxuan."
