Chapter 379 Flame Tiger
Lily nodded, rubbing her hands together. "And it would be best if we manage to capture that tiger and bring it back to the hunter association alive."
"Alright. Let us enter the forest now," Yuan said with a serious expression on his face, activating his divine sense.
When Yuan used his divine sense, he was able to see everything within 1500 meters. Nothing could be hidden from him, not even a subterranean ant.
He observed several formidable monsters inside the forest, some of them were extremely powerful magical monsters; and the majority of the strong monsters were B-rank or higher.
However, Yuan failed to spot the creature they were looking for, The Flame Tiger. The Flame Tiger is a formidable magical creature with strength that much exceeds their level. They have keen claws and teeth that can quickly tear apart most magic weapons and spells.
"Is there any powerful magical monster nearby, Yuan?" Rose questioned as she prepared to retrieve her spear from her spatial ring.
"There are some powerful monsters inside the forest, but if we don't make too much noise, we won't have to worry about them," Yuan said with a reassuring smile.
Rose breathed a sigh of relief after hearing this.
"Although I am currently using my divine sense, I suggest that you all should take out your weapons just to be on the safe side."
"Got it!" His women nodded and drew their weapons as they reached the jungle.
Leah, on the other hand, brought out her magic wand, a family heirloom that had previously been wielded by her mother.
'Although I am not much assistance to him, I still want to help him.' Leah thought, with a deep desire to assist Yuan as his lover.
She was not a cultivator like the others, and she was the family's weakest link. Her body is exceedingly frail, and a single attack from even a C-rank monster might easily kill her; her protection spell will be insufficient to stop such an attack from a creature of this forest.
'Once we leave this forest, I'll ask Yuan to teach me how to cultivate. Only then could I aid him in the same way that everyone else does.' Leah opted to become a cultivator after leaving the jungle and returning to the capital city.
After hours of looking for the Flame Tiger, Yuan discovered a few tiger-like footprints.
They arrived quickly to investigate the footprints, which could lead them to the tiger's den. The footprints were gigantic, measuring about forty centimeters in length, and there were several of them.
Yuan approached one of the imprints, checked it with his hand, and turned to face his wife, who was staring at him with interest and smiling.
"The footprints look like they were formed not long ago, probably a few hours ago, it seems that we are on the right track to locating that damn tiger." He said.
"In that case, let's not waste our time standing here, and let's locate the tiger's den as soon as possible," Julie spoke swiftly and excitedly as she removed her sword from her spatial ring.
"That's right." Emma nodded. "Standing here won't do us any good, we have to get out of the forest before it gets dark."
"Enough chit chat! Let's follow the tracks immediately; we need to capture it as quickly as possible." Anna Grace exclaimed, following the tiger's trail with Yuan.
The girls instantly nodded and followed them, remaining cautious of their surroundings as the jungle became much thicker than previously.
An hour later, they came to a big cave covered in tiger footprints.
"Roarrrrrrr...!" As soon as the tiger's gaze fell on Yuan and his wives, it roared in rage.
"Darling, it appears that you made the tiger really angry." Anna Grace chuckled at Yuan, seeing how angry the tiger appeared at the moment.
They noted that the tiger was walking awkwardly since one of its legs was lagging behind; possibly the stone had done a number on the tiger, which explains why it was so angry right now.
Yuan smiled at his mother and replied, "Even if it's angry, it's nothing I can't defeat. And it's substantially weaker than other monsters I've come across."
"Oh, then you don't need our help?"
"That's correct. I'll fight it with my fists solely; after all, I'm planning on returning it to the city alive."
"Being greedy for some extra money, are we?" Anna Grace smiled pleasantly at him, confident in her son's ability to defeat the tiger effortlessly.
"Money can talk, after all. Why would I refuse a few extra gold coins?"
"So, what're you waiting for? "Get the job done now!" Anna Grace urged him to battle and defeat the tiger as soon as possible so that they may leave the wilderness.
"Roarrr!" The tiger let out a loud howl at Yuan, the blue flame around his body intensified, and the environment around them became extremely hot.
The heat was intense enough to burn the small trees and weeds to ashes in a second, and some of the enormous normal trees caught fire.
"Are you just going to roar at me, or are you going to even attack me, big kitty?" Yuan mocked the tiger as he prepared to fight it.
Hearing this, the tiger screamed angrily at him; it was almost as if the tiger realized Yuan was mocking him and instantly rushed at Yuan, aiming for the neck.
'Interesting...apparently, this tiger is pretty intelligent, and it understands I'm insulting him...How amusing!' Yuan pondered as he easily avoided the tiger's onslaught.
The tiger snarled at Yuan, irritated that he had dodged his strike so easily.
As the tiger's hatred towards Yuan grows, the flame on its body intensifies. The Tiger then opened its jaws, revealing its razor-
sharp teeth, and immediately shot fire at Yuan.
"Oh, so it can shoot fire from its mouth..." Yuan mumbled.
"Yuan be careful!" Leah yelled, worried as she saw the tiger spit flames at her beloved.
"Don't worry, he will be fine." Anna Grace put her arm around Leah's back to reassure her.
Leah nodded and calmed down, but she still appeared concerned for Yuan's safety.
"Do you think your little flames can harm me?" Yuan grinned and softly waved his hand, and a strong gust of wind carried the flame away from Yuan and towards the tiger.
Boooom! A boom occurred when the gigantic wall of blue flame struck the tiger, causing dust to fly around as a massive tremor shook the entire area, scaring the birds away.
"Did that get him?" Lily muttered, wondering whether the tiger had been defeated, and waited for the dust to settle.
