Chapter 420 Mireya's Request
After putting on her clothing, she smiled at Yuan and said, "Let's go. We shouldn't make them wait for us; otherwise, both of my mother-in-laws would be furious with me."
"I'm sure my two mothers are aware of what we just did..." Yuan responded with a slight smile on his face, which caused Valeria's countenance to blanch.
'Do they already know about it? But, how?! It should be impossible for them to discover what we did in my accommodation!' General Valeria yelled within, her look became exceedingly worried, and she had no idea how she was expected to face her two mothers-in-law right now.
She smiled strangely at her beloved, thinking Yuan was playing a joke on her and scaring her. "You must be joking, right? There's no way she knows what we just did! After all, they were busy cooking and were fairly far from the tent."
"You shouldn't underestimate their abilities, Valeria," Yuan stated with a serious expression. "They can see us even if we're two kilometers away, and they can also hear our talks."
"Eeehh?!" General Valeria appeared shocked when she heard this. She couldn't believe it because it seemed silly to her, and no one should be able to do it.
"You can't be joking with me like that, my dear! No human could have such an aptitude; it is beyond common sense." General Valeria reacted, convinced that Yuan was simply trying to intimidate and mock her.
However, deep down, she couldn't help but believe Yuan was telling the truth and that his two mothers possessed such an ability, but she couldn't accept that such an ability existed in this world.
Suddenly, she noticed that when they entered the woodland, they were calm and excited, whilst the others had a look of despair on their faces.
"So, are you telling me that you always knew whether there was a risk nearby?" She inquired with a stunned and disbelieving expression on her face, her voice tinged with perplexity and inquiry.
Yuan nodded and smiled. "And you didn't even bother sharing this information with everyone?"
General Valeria was perplexed as to why Yuan kept something so essential to himself and his women, as it could have helped them escape the many powerful monsters they had battled.
Yuan glanced at General Valeria for a moment before responding, "We simply wanted things to move with the flow; we don't want to meddle and assist everyone."
"Besides, we intended to fight strong monsters to earn as much experience as possible from this journey," Yuan continued, explaining why he didn't warn the king and everyone else about the creatures' specific location.
"I see...I never anticipated you to opt to join this exploratory quest solely to train yourself and my sisters. No surprise you choose to remain silent regarding the monster's locations." General Valeria now understands everything, and she feels grateful to him for not notifying the others about the monster's whereabouts.
"Are you not angry with me for this?" Yuan inquired, staring at her with an inquisitive expression, wondering what she was thinking.
"Angry? Why should I be furious with you, my dear? You should remember that I don't care about weak individuals, so their lives are unimportant to me." General Valeria responded with a smile.
"It appears that we share many common activities, as expected of my wife." Yuan grinned back and took her to his tent.
When they arrived at their tent, they noticed Anna was still cooking something, and a delectable perfume filled the air, capturing the attention of the others. The source of this content no/v(el)bi((n))
Lily was seated by the fire, speaking with Julie and Ava with a smile on her face, and Xi Meili was among them, smiling as she heard their conversation.
Yuan swiftly caught her and held him passionately, throwing her arms around his neck and sniffing his body like a dog.
She glanced at him, jealous, and remarked, "You smell like General Valeria... It appears that you two had some pleasure in private before getting here.
"Hehe~!" Yuan smiled awkwardly as he noticed his sister's jealousy of General Valeria.
"Yuan..!" Mireya's sweet voice resounded from behind, prompting him to turn around.
"Mireya, have you got anything to say to me?" Yuan was confident that Mireya had something to say to him, but she was hesitant to tell him.
'I need to be courageous and communicate my thoughts to him or I'll lose him forever...' Mireya resolved in her heart to confess and communicate her thoughts to Yuan.
"Yes," she unwillingly nodded and said. "Well, I have something to tell you; how about we meet alone near that giant tree after dinner?"
'Huh? Meet her alone? Will she disclose her emotions to me after dinner?' He was shocked by her request.
"Sure. Let us meet after dinner." Yuan responded with a sweet smile, anticipating what Mireya would say to him in private.
"Thank you." Mireya smiled softly, thrilled by his response.
Sylvia was looking at Ma'am with a jealous expression on her face. She couldn't believe Mireya was considering declaring her affections to Yuan.
'Why am I jealous of My Lady for contemplating revealing her affections to Yuan? Don't tell me I'm in love with Yuan, too!' She yelled inwardly, perplexed at her own emotions.
"I can't believe I've fallen for him as well, but he's a human, and all humans are our enemies. So, how did I fall for a person?" She couldn't believe her heart had been taken by a man who already had several women by his side.
After that, her countenance became serious as she reasoned, 'Once My Lady admits her feelings to him, I'll confess my love for him too. I am not like her, so I will not hesitate to express my sentiments to him.'
She then looked at Yuan with a naughty smirk on her face, which made him smile back, as Yuan had guessed her intentions.
"It's great that everyone is here; the dinner is ready to serve." Anna's voice resounded from behind, drawing everyone's attention to her.
"Oh! Dinner's ready! Shall we all eat together?" Yuan replied with a delighted expression on his face, and everyone else concurred.
Anna, Rose, and Emma quickly served the food for everyone as well as themselves, and they all began eating together.
Everyone was blown away by Anna and Grace's delicacies, including General Valeria. Mireya signaled for him to follow her once everyone had finished eating, and he nodded and began following her toward one of the large trees.
Anna and Grace smile as they see them leave, knowing exactly what is going to happen. Yuan observed Mireya was nervous since she was sweating profusely and flushing.
