Chapter 448 Dark Mage
"U-Unbelievable... He killed them in an instant, and his attacks were right on target, without missing a single one of them."
"He is on a whole other level than us. No wonder his wives looked down on us so much!"
"Look at just how much damage he's caused. Not only did he kill so many Corrupted Monsters, but he also obliterated everything in his path."
"This is... unbelievable! Just how did he become so powerful at such a young age? We've been training our asses off for years and yet we're nowhere near his level."
"Perhaps this is what people call talent. We don't have the talent to become strong... perhaps we're destined to remain weak."
The people looked at the scene in utter disbelief. They were surprised to see that Yuan had cut every monster in the same spot and killed more than fifty monsters, each precisely cut in the chest.
What shocked them was not just where the monsters were cut, but the fact that Yuan did it before they could blink. He killed more than fifty monsters in the blink of an eye.
Crown Prince Daniel looked at Yuan with wide-open eyes, seemingly in disbelief. No wonder his aunt chose him to be her husband. Even though she was the strongest swordsman in the empire, she couldn't accomplish the same.
Meanwhile, Yuan's wives looked at the scene with proud grins on their faces, feeling very proud that their husband was so strong and capable.
Lily looked at the Corrupted Monsters with a wide, sadistic grin on her face, her eyes sparkling with anticipation and excitement. Her body trembled as she imagined how she would kill them with her sword.
"Are we just going to stand here watching him have all the fun, or are we going to join in as well?" Lily asked, looking at her two mothers, Anna and Grace, with a sadistic grin as she readied her weapon to dash toward the monsters.
"How can we miss such an opportunity to have fun? It's not fair if he has all the fun," Grace grinned. "So, let's not waste our time, shall we?"
"Naturally!" Emma and the others nodded and dashed toward the Corrupted Monsters as if they were hunting a bunch of harmless rabbits.
"Although I'm not as strong as them, not even close, I'll also join them in battle. This looks so much fun," Valeria said, her eyes focused on the advancing Corrupted Monsters emerging from the miasma.
"Will you be fine? They're cultivators with great strength in every aspect. Should we also join in and help you?" Mireya asked with a concerned look, fearing the Corrupted Monsters were very powerful and had only a few weaknesses.
"Don't worry, I'll be fine. Just cover me from the back and leave the rest to me," Valeria replied with a wide grin, tightening her grip on the sword Yuan had gifted her.
"Very well. We will provide our support to you and make sure to kill every last one of them," Sylvia responded after exchanging a quick glance with Mireya.
"In that case, let's not waste time, shall we?"
'I can't believe it. She is indeed a Dark Mage! But for a human, her dark energy is too powerful; it is even purer than a demon's dark energy... how is this even possible?' Archmage Isadora was taken aback by her discovery, her eyes nearly popping out of their sockets.
"A Dark Mage, you say...?"
Holy Son Arthur appeared behind them with a frown, looking at Sylvia with a disgusted expression as she destroyed the monsters. His face became very vicious.
Seeing the sinister look on Arthur's face, Archmage Eldrick raised his brows. "Holy Son, are you perhaps thinking about capturing that woman?"
"Why, of course, yes! Once I present that woman to His Holiness, I'll be greatly rewarded, and it will solidify my foundation as the Holy Son. It's worth taking a risk!" Arthur replied with a wide grin, imagining himself being praised by the Bishop for his honorable deed of capturing a heretic.
"But that won't be easy, as she is affiliated with Yuan and his wives, and she seems to be very close to them."
Arthur pondered momentarily before replying, "No matter what, we can't let a heretic roam around freely. I have to think of a way to distract that bastard's attention before approaching that woman..."
"Holy Son, I apologize for my boldness, but I'd like to give you a piece of advice: do not provoke that man. He is on a whole different level than us Grand Mages," Archmage Isadora suddenly stepped forward and spoke. "I believe he is more powerful than His Eminence Alaric, the Strongest Holy Knight of the Holy Church of Light and Justice."
"Archmage Isadora, are you perhaps looking down on His Eminence's strength?" Arthur narrowed his eyes at her, feeling insulted and a strong sense of being looked down upon. "Do remember that, with a single swing of his sword, His Eminence can split a whole mountain."
His Eminence Alaric, the strongest man on the continent, is known for his formidable strength. He has participated in all the battles against the demon race and was once part of the Hero Party.
He has been alive for more than 800 years, and no one knows how he is still alive despite being human. Despite his old age, he still looks like a man in his thirties; he doesn't appear old at all, as if time hasn't touched him.
It is said that he is the descendant of the first Hero, summoned from another world to save the world from the Evil God, a fiendish god that terrorized the world in the past. Perhaps this is the reason why he remains young and hasn't aged, and with each passing year, he gradually becomes stronger. Due to him, the Holy Church of Light and Justice has become influential throughout the continent.
'Ridiculous! There is no way that bastard is stronger than His Eminence; it is impossible!' Arthur clenched his fists tightly and muttered to himself, not showing his anger on his face.
—
Yuan was on a rampage on the battlefield, effortlessly killing hundreds of monsters as they continued to emerge from the thick miasma.
With each swing of his sword, he dispatched hundreds of monsters, their corpses piling up to create a small mountain, while the black blood of the monsters painted the ground.
His wives were equally formidable, displaying remarkable battle prowess as they joined him in slaying hundreds of monsters.
Onlookers were dumbfounded by the spectacle, questioning whether they were witnessing reality or a mere illusion. They had never witnessed such a scene in their entire lives.
