Chapter 63 Unexpected Reward

Name:My Dual-Cultivation System Author:
Their Academy could've fixed this issue by buying a sufficient amount of ration from the city and giving enough resources to the silver moon village but they decided to turn it into a competition among the students in the second year from all four sections.

They were amazed at the academy's method to teach their students to tackle society's problems and help people in need.

"We would give reputation points to the team who succeeds in this task, But more than that, you'll be helping to save lives and soothe the hunger of these villagers and the little children. Our people's hope is depending on your shoulder, and I hope you'll find a way to fix our ration problem for at least one of the family."

The girls looked at each other, their determination grew stronger as they heard they needed to help the hungry children and poor villagers. They were up for this challenge, and they were going to do everything in their power to help the people of the Silver Moon Village.

However, Yue Yan didn't look perturbed by all of this because there was something else going on in his mind as he observed the old man.

"What option do we have?" Bing'er asked the crimson-haired beauty as they had to finish the current task to get a good amount of reputation points.

"We can go to the nearby city to stock food and come back here but we are forbidden from using our personal money so for that, we need to earn first," Ling'er mumbled, calculating her options.

"Forget about the ration from the city for now. We can hunt the beast in the nearby periphery since it could be kept fresh in their storage ring." The boy said in a nonchalant voice as he didn't stress about it.

"But..." Ling'er was going to ask how would he bring all those beasts to the village in a short amount of time but then she remembered he had a golden lion and even a hidden spatial ring.

Yue Yan turned towards the village head and asked, "Tell us how many beasts' meat would be enough for one family to eat for three months."

In his second life, he had spent a great amount of time living in the wilderness when he was cultivating and Cang Xue had lost her memories. So he wasn't worried about hunting beasts and bringing them into the village.

The teacher had already inspected them when they were coming out of the entrance of tianhai academy's gate with the help of their spiritual type spirit ranker so they were sure the students wouldn't have any additional resources except their own labor and wits.

The purpose of this special task was to bring out the innate talent of each student either by earning their own money to supply ration from the city or gathering meat by hunting beasts in the forest in a small span of time.

The old man was thinking the students would face problems transporting beasts' bodies one by one and keeping them fresh on their way to the village but he wasn't aware of Yue Yan's advantage of having inventory which worked the same way as his spatial ring.

Unlike other students, he could continue to collect them in his spatial ring and give it to the village head on the same day. Although he was going to do it carefully so they wouldn't doubt his advantage.

The old man started explaining, "There are three kinds of beast you would be able to find in the forest nearby our silver moon village.

First is blood-devouring Rabit which is around one meter in size. Just twenty of these beasts would be enough for one family to eat for three months.

The second is the needle-tail hawks, They are one and a half meters in size and contain more meat than the blood-devouring rabbit. If you gather fourteen of that bird-type beast that would be also sufficient.

And the last one is the giant bear, they are four meters in size. Bringing only four of them would be sufficient for one family to eat for three months."

As they heard the numbers, all three of them made a note in their mind even though they knew it was hard to carry the beast's corpse while hunting but they had Yue Yan by their side who might be able to carry this as they saw him asking about it.

Ling'er still had one doubt that she decided to ask, "Where do we have to bring these meats or rations from the city after we gather them?"

The old man smiled and said, "You would find a village's warehouse on the eastern side which is handled by my son. He also has a spatial ring that would be enough to keep all the rations given by the students. Just give all your acquired food to him and he will note down your contribution."

"Where are we going to stay until we finish the mission?" Ling'er asked as the old man didn't tell them about their lodging.

"Just ask my son, he will assign our empty room to you guys. Since you have come first you would be getting the only vacant place in the warehouse but it may not be to your taste. However, other all teams have to take care of their own lodging." The village head declared their first reward which was only possible because of Yue Yan.

"Thank you, senior. We would go now and see what we can do about the collapsed boulder near the river streamline." Ling'er said as she stood up from the couch.

"That task can not be done unless all the students work as a team to move it. So I would suggest you should focus on finishing your first task before going for the boulder." The old man said as he knew it wasn't a task that only one team would be able to finish all alone.
