"But you'll have to be punished for making me wait longer than I originally intended to."

Sasha flinched at the mention of the word 'punished' but she nodded her head timidly. An evil grin curled on Kevin's face behind his mask when he turned his head to look behind Sasha and noticed the enraged look on Vanessa's face as she continued glaring at him.

'Oh, this is going to be good,' He thought to himself, admiring the priceless expression on Vanessa's face before turning back to Sasha.

"Let's go," He ordered in a deep husky voice before removing his arms from around Sasha, while Sasha merely nodded her head before trailing right behind him.

However, the moment she tried to leave she suddenly felt her hand being pulled from behind, and when she turned around, she noticed that it was Vanessa.

"She's going nowhere," Vanessa declared, glaring straight into the masked man's eyes.

Did he really think he could take Sasha away without a fight?

Moreover, wasn't he the one who said that Vanessa would be with Sasha if she managed to save her?

And now, he was saying that they would have to play another game tomorrow??

'Over my dead body,' Vanessa pulled Sasha her way, before making sure that she was standing between Sasha and the masked man.

"If it's money you want, I'll gladly send you the amount you need, but if you don't want money, then I suggest you end this game right now."

Vanessa's patience was running thin so she decided to warn him now before things got messy.

The only reason why Vanessa had yet to fight was because she was afraid of seeing Sasha get hurt if the battle became too intense.

She wasn't sure, but Vanessa assumed Kevin might have a few things up his sleeve.

But, instead of heeding her warnings, he did the exact opposite.

With a hand stretched towards Sasha, he told her. "Sasha, come to me."

His authoritative voice was like a command programmed into her brain, instructing her not to disobey his orders, and so, she obeyed.

Sasha squeezed the hand that was preventing her from obeying her master, and this caused Vanessa to scream in agony from Sasha's tenacious grip.

Vanessa unconsciously released Sasha's hand before Sasha could break her hand.

'She could have completely broken my arm if I didn't let go quickly enough,' She thought, then watched as Sasha walked back to the masked man.

"What did you do to her?" Vanessa asked, her voice full of anger.

Kevin grinned evilly behind the mask before replying. "She wanted to be as special as you and that was all I did."

Vanessa's eyes widened with disbelief when she heard his words. "You gave her mistletoe?"

If there was one thing Vanessa had never wanted to introduce Sasha to, it was definitely the drug that turned her into an awakened.

Being an awakened herself, Vanessa knew that hundreds, if not thousands of people had lost their lives while consuming the drug while some had even ended up turning into mindless cannibals.

And Vanessa never wanted her sister to end up in such a state.

"Yes, and she turned out..." Kevin replied proudly, but he was caught off guard when Vanessa suddenly swung her fist in the direction of his face.

But just when Vanessa's fist was inches away from Kevin's face, Sasha reacted just in time to slam her fist straight into Vanessa's gut, sending her flying backwards and crashing into the wall before collapsing face down into the ground.

'Not only was her strength higher than mine, but her speed was faster as well,' Vanessa thought in shock as she slowly lifted her body from the ground.

'Why would she help him?'

'Can't she see that I'm trying to save her?'

'Is like she's a completely different person.'

But just as she was getting up, Vanessa suddenly felt Sasha's presence in front of her and she swung her feet straight towards her face, causing Vanessa to collapse on the ground again.

Sasha hunkered down before her, pulling Vanessa's head up by her hair before sending a resounding slap towards her face. She then released her grip on Vanessa's hair, causing her head to fall limply on the ground and a crack to form from the strength of the impact.

Sasha rose to her full height again before raising one of her legs and bringing it straight down to crush Vanessa's skull, but she managed to roll sideways and evade Sasha's attack.

'What's going on?'

'Why is she doing this?'

Vanessa thought in a panic, but Sasha didn't give her any chance to fight back or defend herself before aiming a kick towards her head again.

The impact made Vanessa fall unconscious when her head slammed into the ground again.

"What's wrong?" Sasha hunkered down and raised Vanessa's head again, but this time around she was holding a red apothecary jar which happened to be Kevin's healing potion in her hand.

"It's too early for you to take a nap," She poured the potion on Vanessa's swollen face and her cracked skull and the bruises on her face healed within seconds. Then, Sasha dragged her along by pulling her by the hair while Vanessa screamed in agony, completely unable to fight back due to the numbness of her body from the shock of Sasha's previous attacks.

Moreover, how could she possibly hurt her own sister?

Sasha tossed Vanessa's weak body against the wall, causing her back to slam against the wall of the building while a lot of blood gushed out of Vanessa's mouth as she tried to get back up.

Vanessa limply lifted her head to take a look at Sasha, and her eyes widened in disbelief at the grin Sasha made despite seeing her in such a state.

Then, a sudden realization dawned on Vanessa. "You're not Sasha," She said, slowly raising her body from the ground.

"Who are you?" She asked, trying to confirm her suspicion before resting her back against the wall.

"A-And, what is your true reason for doing all this?" Vanessa asked the obvious question since the Sasha standing before her seemed a lot different from her own sister.

And also because, if Sasha was truly an awakened, it would take months for her to adapt to her abilities, but this one seemed to have an ample amount of experience.

And that begged the question, who exactly was the woman standing before her?
