[Zephora also stumbled upon a portentous fact â€" that the original crystals of the immortals in the hearts of the mountains contained special power over the respective angel who traveled within. Using this knowledge, she sought out Samkiel, a crazed deva loremaster, imprisoned by the Dark God for prophesying its fall.
Zephora used the information about the crystal prison to get Samkiel to talk and arm with more elaborate details, she hatched a plan to end the rule of the Dark Angels.
Over decades, she built a network of followers called the Order of Light. She searched out and found the Seven Druids, one of the only remaining religious organizations that survived. These druids were forced underground by the Dark God, fleeing to the Fey Realm from where they could maintain their position in the Material Plane.
Zephora organized a grand campaign with the aid of an agent of the Shining Light, as well as the druids. They secretly conducted magical rituals that could turn stone into a light-reflecting crystal while Zephora crafted the Radiant Globe of Annihilation to shatter the moon covering the sun.
When the time was right, the suffering slaves of the dark angels rebelled against their cruel masters and fought them with only the hope in their hearts and trust in the clerics of the Shining Light.
In the final battle, the fallen angels covered the seat of their power, now the Demon Realm, in a dome of shadow force that trapped the mass of the rebellion inside and allowed the angel to focus their vengeance on the clerics.
When the plan was set in motion, the Seven Druids enacted their rituals and used the crystals to channel every last bit of light into the Radiant Globe of Annihilation.
Zephora and her closest devotees could now use it to shatter the moon and restore sunlight. They thus broke the power of the Dark God, whose armies of angels were immediately banished back to the planes they came from by the owner of the Shining Light itself.
However, the Dark God and the dark angels' creations, the demons and devils, remained rampant throughout the realm. Both sides were weary from the fight, and for the sake of peace, they forged an agreement to banish the demons and devils into their realm, which was now called the Demons Realm. From henceforth, they were forbidden to step foot outside in the mortal plane.
Balance was restored, and what remains of the moon still rose every night as a constant reminder of the cataclysmic events.]
I blinked my tired eyes and sighed. It was already night-time. I and Minion 0 took a short rest at the side of the road. Even though I wasn't suffering from stamina and exhaustion and all that, we still need to eat and drink after all.
Come to think of it. I looked over at the twin moons. Upon closer inspection, they weren't twins. It was like a crack in which the other half was bent to the side, creating an illusion that there was two of them.
The history of this place sure was long, but now I had a clear picture of how it was formed. Before everything was a blur and I couldn't put my fingers on things. This was a nice change of phase and a good idea of spending that extra time.
So Zephora was a mortal once. How did she became a goddess? I thought to myself.

 THE AGE OF BRIGHTNESS
(Year -400)
After the Dark God's demise and the banishments of its army angels, Zephora and her followers quickly stepped into the power vacuum, but they first had to oppose the remaining devotees of the Darkness Within.
In this campaign, they had the help of the Seven Druids and the members of the rebellion, all of who suffered from the dark angels' hands.
Zephora's first initiate Raguel, a cunning priest whose role was to isolate and eradicate the remaining dark angels' devotees, a task he performed for decades.
Raguel was ambitious, and as Zephora got older and more fragile, he slowly acquired more and more power.
After Zephora was converted into a goddess by the Shining Light as an act of gratitude, she bestowed powers on those who were devoted to her cause.
The Septons received some of her power, and they were tasked to maintain Order and protect the lands.
After Zephora's death, Raguel named the Church to the Order of Light and took the title of Pope. As his power grew, Raguel slowly agitated the populace to religious fervor and turned the Order into a force of inquisition that supported the removal of all of his real and potential enemies or whoever spoke out against the theocracy. These people were deemed collaborators or believers of the Dark God and executed.
His most infamous betrayal was finding and murdering almost every known member of the Seven Druids in a single night of carnage, with just a few creatures who escaped, never to be seen again in these realms.
In less than a decade, The Order of Light became the only organization that governed his theocracy, with Septons of the Order serving as judges, governors, historians, and military leaders.
The Order viscously suppressed all free thought and other religions. And as time went on, the Order became more and more entrenched in society and increasingly bureaucratic, with a long line of Pope-Kings who were always chosen from within the ranks of the clergy by fierce and deadly competition.
For over four hundred years, the Order of Light ruled supreme. Many times did parts of the realms revolt, trying to shake off the grip of the Order, and many times did the Order crush these rebellions, quickly eradicating the voices of opposition from history by erasing all traces of their existence.]
 THE AGE OF THE KINGS
(Year 0 â€" Present)
Razmyr Rustin led the single successful revolution against the Order of Light. Razmyr was a noble with a distinguished lineage, an inheritor of vast landholding and large wealth.
He worked tirelessly to create division between the multiple sub-sect of the Order, either by mind-controlling Septons or via well-planned murder framing prominent Order members.
He also received support from the Demon Realm. The demons and devils were under the scrutiny of the Order since the very beginning, making excuses like using suspicious magic to attack and invade their lands.
At the right time, when the fighting was at its peak, Razmyr led the rebellion, aided by their allies, and confronted the Pope-King in triumph.
After a short and bloody war to root out all remnants of the previous establishment, Razmyr was crowned as the first king of Rustin.]
Hmmm . . , based on this, they have successfully overthrown the Church, but it seemed that they didn't root it from its spot since the Church became so powerful now.
As I read through the book, there were many kings after Razmyr but none as brave and wise as him, and so their decline, and this was where the Order rose again to fight for rulership.
While they had internal battles, they were unaware that the demon and devils were gaining strength until one day, they knocked on their borders with magic and steel, and ravaged their lands and killed their people.
Pressed with a great threat, the Church and crown bonded together and repelled back these invaders. However, plagued with internal strife, distrust, and almost an empty coffer, the kingdom of Rustin was on the brink of collapse.
When all hope was lost, a young girl was fervently praying for the Goddess to save them. Touched by this innocent girl's plea, the Goddess Zephora bestowed the girl as her proxy channeling her powers to her and bestowing Holy Weapons to a selected few, giving rise to what was known today as the High Septons whose main role was to enact her will and protect her proxy.
Together with this new power, the kingdom of Rustin pushed back the demons and devils into their hell hole. And when they thought that victory was within their grasp a new threat soon took place in the form of humans in another dimension. And with their arrival came the first apocalyptic event. It was the effect of the dimensional rift that was caused upon by the players' appearance.
With these new problems, the Kingdom of Rustin and the Demon Realm took a step back, and the war went to a standstill.
To this day, that young girl's line of descent was the proxy of Zephora, and right now, that lineage went from being a holy rite into a power struggle between the Church and the crown in which the crown was losing.
The identity of the current proxy was unknown. I bet she was kept in a sacred place or in the monastery or something, guarded by the Church.

And to strengthen further the bond between the crown and the Church, the proxy was set to marry the soon-to-be King of the kingdom.
But I think this was a strategy of the Church to control the crown. If that marriage took place, then it would be the end of the monarchy.
<Keekeekee. Maybe they would revive the Order again?>
Now . . . There were numerous houses in the kingdom, and right, my interest lies in Blue River and House Volmont.

I kept thinking about Bluebell and i don't know if i wrote it before. It's supposed to be Blue River Town.
