Chapter 94

Shadow Dog wielded his staff to smash Terrom but the latter moved quickly. He put the werebeast nucleus in his mouth and swallowed it immediately

“AAAGGGHH!!!”

Noble Lord Terrom cried out, his eyes went wide open as his body glowed brightly

The surrounding mana was stirred as a transformation appeared on Terrom’s body as he releases bursts and bursts of energies to the point that the Earthen Staff bounced off

Terrom’s lifeforce exceeded what a normal person should have while his body changes to a body that is neither human nor a magic beast

All the hair on his head that grew larger fell off. Thick purple veins popped on his head

His lips grew longer and all of his teeth turned sharp along with his tongue which became longer than usual

His hands suddenly turned into pinkish cream tentacles with sharp teeth at the end. This wasn’t something that is done by magic and would return back to normal. From now on, his hands would always be like that

Even Terrom’s legs turned into tentacles and every leg split into four tentacles, eight tentacles in total

If that wasn’t enough, he even grew tentacles on his back as if they were his tail and there were nine of them

“HAHAHAHAHA! WHAT POWER!” Terrom bursts into a fit of laughter, marveling at the unbelievable power that is coursing through his body

“Attack!” Lord Keito that knows how much of a power boost the werebeast nucleus provider cried out and all three of them casts their spells

“[Thunder Streaks!]”

“[Metal Stream!]”

Rezen and Keito sent their spells flying in the air and Shadow Dog also did the same thing

“[Corruption]”

A small black magic circle appeared on the earthen staff before it was covered with some sort of black energies

The five meters tall figure created with magic by Shadow Dog moved to strike the transformed Terrom with the staff

In return, Terrom smiled evilly at them. He uses two of his tail tentacles to crush Rezen and Keito’s spell while the others caught the earthen staff of Shadow Dog

The [Corruption] spell only started to show its effect when the tentacles that wrapped the earthen staff crushed it before sending the debris back to their maker

The nine tentacle tails of Terrom sent out black beams of energy, easily penetrating the Demon Dog’s Coat

Two of those beams hit Shadow Dog on his shoulder causing him to bleed

“Fuck! So overpowered?!” Rezen cried out in shock. Shadow Dog was originally the stronger of the two but he was badly injured in a single attack

The Demon Dog’s Coat dissipated after the caster was attacked. His shoulder slumped and right now, Shadow Dog can’t even lift his hand

“Not good!” Rezen hurriedly charged toward Shadow Dog to help heal him with his recovery pills but Terrom didn’t let him

“Where do you think you are going?” Terrom asked a rhetorical question before one of his tentacles shot out

It slapped Rezen hard that his body flew in the air before the tail tentacle opened its ‘mouth’ to swallow him starting from his feet

“[Savage Hounds!]”

Another mystic gem flew out of Shadow Dog’s elixir field and this time, it was a dog-type gem

Gems like these are either used to supplement a soul-type gem to become a magic beasts enslaver or boost a mage’s own fighting power similar to Leon that combined his fire and lion-type gems

Turns out that Shadow Dog still wasn’t using his full power earlier. If he uses his dog-type gem along with his darkness-type gem, the resulting power would definitely be stronger

Shadow Dog created three black hounds made from shadows. The hounds leaped in the air and either uses their sharp nails or sharp teeth to prevent Rezen from being ‘eaten’

“You’re finally using your full power. Let’s see just how strong the guardian of the younger generation of the Preston Family!” Terrom laughed heartily as all of his tail tentacles along with his hand tentacles condensed one magic circle each

“[Flesh Stream!]”

A stream spell is channeling the energy of their specific elements and a spell such as [Flesh Stream] is also possible

The stream spells are the most basic of the basic but depending on the person’s skill, the stream spell could be a tyrannical spell

Shadow Dog suddenly faces eleven stream spells at once but he was still unable to move his arms

Moving one’s hands is not a requirement for casting a spell but the motion makes it easier to some extent

As a result, Shadow Dog’s casting speed faltered and three of the stream spells weren’t perfectly blocked by him

“Master!” Lord Keito cried out and he was about to help when one of Terrom’s tentacles smacked him unconscious

Rezen is moments away from being caught by Terrom and that is when Shadow Dog moved again

His arms were still dangling, unable to be used but he still casts his spell

“[Shadow Walk]”

“[Shadow Hand!]”

He uses two different spells at succession. The first one let him arrive close to Rezen while the second spell held a piece of scroll that it gently slapped on Rezen’s back

“A-ah?” Rezen was surprised and the next thing he saw were small fairy-like entities flying around him

These entities smiled at him before clasping their little hands together and Rezen felt himself surrounded by winds that carried him away from this place

The area of the tattoo’s isolation was quite large and it was still erected as of right now but unlike the others, Rezen has the ‘free pass’

He can go in and out of the barrier any time he wishes to and even if that’s not the case, the winds would definitely break the barrier at this level

“Wait! What’s happening!”

Rezen suffered from dizziness, the winds around him were revolving and moving too fast that even his physique was unable to take it causing him to lose consciousness

“Young Master, do you really have to do this? I think it’s better to head back to the Clan and breakthrough first” Dominant Sky asked Claude

“I still have a little bit of time to stabilize my current realm and that time can be used to save people” Claude replied

Currently, the two of them are patrolling the areas around Greenwood City. The areas that are part of the city but are outside of its protection. The places similar to Rezen’s farm

These days, many people went missing and the most probable cause would be the doings of the Twighlight Beast

They have run rampant these days, killing both magic beasts and humans to create their werebeast nuclei

They were sacrificing innocent lives for the sake of power

Even Claude would fight for resources but this is just too much. He can’t just take this lying down when there are many people out there that needed to be saved

“Young Master, even if you save them, the Twighlight Beast wouldn’t stop. Besides, you can save them once but you can’t save them all the time. What if those bastards return after you were gone?” Dominant Sky reasoned

In her eyes, this is just a waste of time. Claude should be focusing on his preparation to reach the next rank

In the ‘mortal world’, 6th fusion rank mages were at the peak. Many people don’t have the talent to reach that rank and many are also stuck at that rank, unable to reach the legendary 7th rank
