Rezen’s farm
Brrr brrr brrr
The sound of a tractor digger digging small pits on soil can be heard. On Rezen’s farm, he can be seen driving a red-colored tractor
His face was completely emotionless as he silently does his farm work
It was not only Rezen that was driving a tractor, even his subordinates were doing the same. There were at least ten people digging in the soil
After the death of Rezen’s parents, quite a number of changes happened. One of which was the size of the land he now owned
A large chunk of the land outside Greenwood City is now his property which was at least 100 acres of land. That’s a large increase in size all so that Rezen could plant more plants
With his large farm, he could meet the demands of Daydream about the metal potatoes with the help of his new subordinates
Rezen now almost has no need to worry about mana stones and he acquired a hundred more Artificial Humans which help him with the farm work
Daydream is a goliath company and its wealth was extremely vast. Just one recovery pill of Rezen is more than enough for Daydream to give him as many mana stones as needed
A hundred artificial humans were equal to ten million mana stones but Rezen can now afford to have more than a thousand artificial humans if he wants to
The rich have no lack of mana stones but there are many treasures of heaven and earth that could not be bought with mana stones alone and could only be exchanged with another peerless treasure
It was to the point that the bigwigs don’t care much about mana stones but focused on gathering peerless treasures
With no worries about mana stones and even seeds, Rezen can farm and farm however he wants without stopping
And aside from the expansion of his farm, his army was also growing and many defensive constructs were under construction
To the very edge of Rezen’s farm, wooden walls were under construction. The walls were created using the wood of quality 6 Spirit Plants that Rezen bought or more like Daydream provided in exchange for a few recovery pills
This wood has enough durability to withstand a few spells in the 6th grade. Of course, considering that such mages could fly in the air, the walls are not very effective
That’s why the wooden walls were covered with the mutated crop produced by the farm called Void-stomach Bellflowers
These bellflowers were literally the same size as normal bellflowers but they have internal storage with space bigger than a villa
Inside these bellflowers were cherry bombs that they could release to enemies both in the land and air
With the fast rate that they could ‘spit’ cherry bombs that could reach really high in the air, even 6th fusion rank mages have to be careful
Once the walls were finished, it was completely possible that they would be facing tens of thousands of cherry bombs with the power of 4th-grade spells every second. Even mages at the 6th fusion rank would be bombarded to death
The walls being constructed are just the first line of defense and there are many more that were still being created
It was to the point that aside from the land used to grow plants, the other areas seem to have turned into a forest
Not to mention, Rezen still has the plan of further expanding his farm. He can still obtain the surrounding land but refrained from doing so as long as the defense lines of his first hundred acres of land is not yet finished
Even if he own those lands right now, they would be useless as scattering his defenses would be a fool’s job
“[Spirit Wind Helper!]”
Rezen summoned his wind-type mystic gem and cast a spell that created ten small spirit-like entities
These spirits aren’t similar to the spirit magic of the likes of Florine and Snow Fox. They don’t have the ability to boost a mage’s power
What they could do though is to control the winds and scatter seeds on the farm. The wind that they could control is not strong enough to kill but on a farm, they are really helpful
This spell is one of the new spells that Rezen has learned and he uses it to scatter the seeds. Even when harvesting, it was not also done with the help of this spell
The spirits are useless in a fight but they were fast and nimble when it comes to farmwork
“Master, there are people that wish to see you” an artificial human approached Rezen and reported
This one has the number 40 on his shirt which means that he is Number Forty. Since Rezen has more than a hundred artificial human subordinates and that number would increase in the future, remembering all of them is a hassle. Hence, from Eleven onwards, they are ordered to wear clothes with numbers on them
“Who are they?” Rezen simply asked though he already has a guess in his mind
“Neil and Maze, Master” the artificial human replied respectfully and Rezen nodded his head. His guess was right
“Continue with the farm work” Rezen said and he left to where his guests are waiting for him
The Mushroom Homes that Rezen originally dwelled in was already changed. His new house is still under the ‘Mushroom Home series’ but is not the standard type anymore
His new Mushroom Home is a variant called “Demolisher Shroom”
At normal times, it would be a normal Mushroom Home aside from the fact that it was completely black in color
However, once it ingested materials that contain mana, the Demolisher Shroom would rapidly grow in size and become as tall as a five-story building with long arms and legs
Just like its name, the Demolisher Shroom that ingested enough materials with mana which most of the time would be mana stones would gain tyrannical power. Destroying and demolishing buildings bigger than it was would be a simple job
There were only around a hundred such spirit plants on Rezen’s farm but the numbers would also definitely grow in the future
The Demolisher Shroom that was located at the center of the other shrooms was where Rezen slept and rest
He entered his house and saw two people sitting on the sofa in the living room
One of them looks depressed, his eyes were puffy and red. As for the other one, a dark aura surrounded him
These two are Rezen’s guests with the former being Neil and the latter being Maze
Rezen gave them enough time to grieve and handle the funeral of their parents before contacting him
It seems like these two are now ready
“R-Rezen…” Neil called out as soon as he saw his best friend. Rezen’s heart aches for him
Rezen himself knew how much it hurts to lose your parents in front of your eyes. The people that should still have many days ahead of them died all because of a terrorist attack
Such a thing was not easy to accept nor should they accept it!
“Rezen! Strength! Was what you said true? I want to be more powerful to avenge my clan and father!”
If Neil was depressed and only has the desire to grow strong but no confidence to enact it, Maze on the other hand was completely different
Maze is extremely thirsty. He wants power, power, and even more power
His desire to destroy and make the Twighlight Beast vanish from this world is no lesser than Rezen’s
Unlike Neil, he doesn’t have a problem with confidence. In fact, it wasn’t an issue of confidence. All Maze wants is to be stronger not thinking about whether he has the talent to achieve his desire or not
These two have different personalities but one of them is Rezen’s best friend and the other is someone that Rezen is at least a bit familiar with
All three of them thirst for the same thing; revenge. Since all of them have the same goal, Rezen wouldn’t mind lending a helping hand and have these two assist him
However, these two also needed some work to ‘fix’ them. Similar experiences don’t mean similar growth
Rezen has become smarter and shrewder. Neil’s desire to be a mage for status, money, and other vain things changes. While he is still lacking in confidence, he now wants to become a mage for a different reason
As for Maze, he originally wants to be the strongest mage and that doesn’t change much. Right now, instead of wanting to become the strongest mage, the ‘want’ turns into a ‘need’
With Twighlight Beast having more than one 7th rank mage, perhaps, only the strongest mage could bring them down to hell
Neil only has to grow some confidence but Maze… Rezen has to remove such hotheadedness. Not to mention, while he trusts Neil to a great extent, Maze is different and Rezen wouldn’t risk anyone betraying him before reaching his goal
