Rezen’s Farm

The advancement mission to upgrade the farm to the 6th level is to gather resources again

Resources that are more precious than the ones Rezen uses to upgrade his farm to the 5th level

Fortunately, Rezen got all the resources he needed from Space Monarch. A 7th rank mage’s resources are definitely not something that the mortals could compare to!

Rezen poured all the required resources into the soil of his farm and he even summoned all of his mystic gems as it was also necessary to have them for the farm’s upgrade

“System, upgrade the farm” Rezen ordered and the system prompt immediately rang in his mind

Just like in the previous times, Rezen sensed the mysterious and marvelous power spreading on his farm but this time, it wasn’t just the appearance of the mysterious power that happened

Every human including the artificial humans and magic beasts was sent out of the farm. Only Rezen and his spirit plants were left inside

The farm shook as if a magnitude 10 earthquake has occurred. It was to the point that Rezen has to use his Mystic Tattoo to hold his ground

Rezen watched as his tens of acres farm seems to be enraged. Any normal human inside the farm might have died if they stayed inside Rezen’s farm

After the farm accepted the mysterious power, it suddenly starts to shrink

Rezen watched as the plants on his farm that are supposed to defend it from enemies turned into pure energy that the farm also absorbs

There were tens of thousands of plants present on the farm and Rezen spent a lot of energy to make his farm look like a fortress but in just a short period of time, his and his subordinates’ efforts were gone

The plants were sacrificed and turned into the farm’s nutrients. The original large farm also shrunk into a perfectly circular farmland that is just a hundred meters in diameter from all directions

With the current farm’s size, the rate at which Rezen could plant and grow plants would definitely suffer, to say the least

These changes are also not all that happened. The mystic gems of Rezen automatically flew and landed on the edges of the farm as if that was their place from now one

Rezen squinted his eyes at all the changes happening to his farm when he sensed the gathering of energy

The energy then condensed into a small fairy-like creature. It has the appearance of a female wearing a green dress and has two pairs of translucent wings on its back

“Greetings, Host! My Master!” The fairy greeted in a child-like tone causing Rezen to raise his eyebrows

“You are…?” He asks

“Master could think of me as the farm system’s personification. I am here to help Master”

Rezen knew that something big would happen after he upgrade his farm to the 6th level but he didn’t expect that the system’s personification would appear

If this was before Rezen’s parents died, he might ask what the system is or something the like as the most important question but right now, there is a more important one

“Do you know how to revive my parents?” Rezen inquired, his eyes holding desperate hope in them

“Since Master has their souls, it would be easier to pseudo-revive them. However, it could not be done in the earth realm. Master has to enter another realm with perfectly intact laws!”

Those words were like the sounds of the bell of hope to Rezen and he unconsciously held the fairy in his hand

“How?! How could I enter another realm?!” Rezen questioned quite agitatedly. His eyes turned bloodshot while staring at the fairy

The fairy acts as if it wasn’t hurt even though Rezen was holding it tightly and explained

“Master, I must warn you first. Entering another realm is just the most basic requirement. Master has to have enough resources and power to revive them in the different ways available out there”

“For Master to enter another realm, the system could help with it but there is something that Master must obtain first!”

No matter what that is, even if the system needed stars or whatever, Rezen would do whatever is necessary to obtain them!

“Tell me! What do I need?!” Rezen questioned, tightening his hold on the fairy

“In this realm with broken laws, a power that could allow a person to travel from one realm to another realm is not attainable no matter how talented a mage is!”

“With that the case, there are also no resources that the realm could produce for planar travel!”

“However, there is still one special energy that could make it possible and that is the realm’s origin energy!” The fairy explained

However, Rezen doesn’t know what origin energy is. His confused expression didn’t escape the fairy’s eyes and it explained to him

“Origin energy is the energy that the realm uses to support and expand itself! It is the energy of the realm!”

“Such a precious energy couldn’t be obtained easily but there is one way to obtain the energy and that is through consuming what the people in this realm called the blessed land!”

Blessed Land… Rezen’s eyes flashed. If the ‘fuel’ needed is a blessed land then

“I have to reach the 7th rank first…” Rezen muttered while clenching his fist

To think that reaching the 7th rank is just the start when that is already the end for the people in this world

“No! Master! You absolutely cannot reach the 7th rank! No, in this universe, that’s not even a real rank! That rank is only something that lifeforms of this world entered because of the plane’s broken laws!”

This time, it was the fairy that was agitated as if it was terrified that Rezen would go down the wrong path

Rezen let go of the fairy before asking it to elaborate

“Master, something happened in this realm from the past and the laws broke and the path of magic was altered because of that!”

“In other realms, there are no Tattoo Warriors or Armaments Masters! Everyone that could use magic is a mage!”

“Also, there was no 1st fusion rank to 6th fusion rank mages! Although the earth realm’s cultivation from the 1st to 6th rank is different, it was also similar to the other realms but they are called the six level of apprentice mages!”

“The 7th rank on the other hand is completely different. Those mages are forever bound to this realm and have no choice but to steal the realm’s origin energy that would eventually end in the realm’s destruction!”

“Master must absolutely not become a 7th rank mage if Master wants to become a real mage!”

A real mage…

Rezen is already at the 5th fusion rank, only one rank away from the peak of the mortal ranks. However, someone like him is actually still not a real mage?

A person that could erase cities with his magic is still not a real mage… is that even true?

“Master might not understand it for now but once you enter another realm, you will!”

Rezen nodded his head. In the meantime, his most important goal is to revive his parents. Other matters could be set aside for now

“Then how? If I need a Blessed Land but I can’t reach the 7th rank, how could I obtain origin energy?”

“Master, before that, I have to ask you one thing first”

“And what is that?”

“The system is a special and precious legacy with the goal of reviving the origin of this legacy. The system will help Master but Master also has to ensure that the legacy would be revived and that could only be done if Master reaches the peak of the universe. Master has to promise that he would do everything to accomplish the system’s goal that I cannot say for now”

A frown formed on Rezen’s face. Those words made the system sound kind of sketchy

Reaching the top… Rezen already tasted how bitter being powerless is. He could only avoid that if he is at the top. What the system wants from him is aligned with what he wants

“I understand, Master. But I must warn Master. To achieve the master’s goal of obtaining origin energy, there is someone that you know that would stop master at all costs. I’m not sure if Master can fight that person”

Rezen has a bad premonition about this and a name popped up in his mind but he still asks the question that he feels like he already knows the answer to without asking
