Back in the earth realm, a mage cannot directly cause tree debris to float maybe unless they are a nature-type mage. They must use wind magic that would make use of the wind to control the debris or other similar spells

However, Big Nose merely uses his mana to make the tree debris float without using any magic

'It seems like the mages of the universe are more versatile. They could do something like this right after becoming a formal mage. Magic circles are like one size fits all clothes and they lack versatility but these Junior Mages that don't need the aid of magic circles are different

Rezen continue observing, absorbing knowledge like a dry sponge

With a wave of Big Nose's hands, the tree debris flew straight to Stone Head that was already ready to receive them

Stone Head stretched his arms out and his mana gathered at his palm and was soon ignited with fire

His palms releases crimson flames that burned the tree debris and they were unable to harm him and that is when Big Nose charged at him again

The hard ground cracked because of Big Nose and in a short period of time, he reached Stone Head

Bang!!

Their fists clashed once again and they started to throw and exchange one punch after another

'Is this how Junior Mages fight each other or is this only the way that mages that lack knowledge do it?' Rezen wondered

The two continued, they constantly send punches and kicks at each other. Sometimes, their fists would be imbued with the power of the elements which made their attacks stronger than normal

The only fortunate thing was that they are fighting in an area that only has trees and no huts of the tribesmen. If not, not to mention their poorly made houses, the tribesmen might also get hurt

Suddenly, Stone Head jumped on a nearby tree to buy himself some time to recover. However, Big Nose didn't give him the time to do so

With a single leaped, Big Nose reach the branch where Stone Head landed but the latter suddenly smiled

Stone Head had his palm on the tree branch and the branches near him started moving according to his will. These branches have become agile and slapped Big Nose, sending him flying tens of meters away

Before Big Nose could even land on the ground, Stone Head already chased him while water covered his fists

It was about to look like he would win this battle but when he was about to land a solid blow on Big Nose's face, his body suddenly trembled and his speed suddenly faltered

What Stone Head didn't know was that Big Nose was also ready to attack in case his opponent decided to follow him

Big Nose could spray water from his mouth any moment from now and he was waiting for the right timing but before he could do so, his body also trembled

Both Big Nose and Stone Head felt like some sort of power covered their bodies making it harder for them to move

However, even then, they were already very close to attacking each other. Stone Head's fist was about to land on Big Nose while Big Nose's magic was already fired by him and was about to hit his opponent

Just before the two could kill each other, an old woman suddenly appeared between them

The old woman was blind in one eye and he even has a scar on it. Compared to the other tribesmen, she was wearing a loose and long robe

The robe was already worn out as it was old clothes but it didn't stop her from looking dignified

In her hand was a seemingly rotten piece of stick that looks like a wand

"You fools!! What do you think you are doing?!" The old woman said loudly but the weird thing was that she didn't open her mouth

She was able to speak without using her throat!

The woman lightly waved her wand and a transparent barrier of made from mana covered her entire body

Stone Head's fist landed on the barrier and so was Big Nose's water spray

Despite receiving attacks from two Junior Mages, the old woman's barrier was still managed to endure and with another flick of her wand, she sent the two flying in opposite directions

"Arrghh!!" The two groaned from the pain before they found themselves tied to a tree using vines

"Both of you are members of the same tribe! Why are you trying to kill each other!" The old woman spoke again but just like before, she didn't speak in a physical manner

'This grandma... her power is way beyond those two' Rezen thought with sweat on his forehead

Whether it be Big Nose or Stone Head, both of them are stronger than Rezen on his prime yet the old woman was still stronger than the two of them combined

To think that these 'monsters' are considered weak as they come from a small and weak tribe. Not to mention, their rank is just the real starting line for mages! Just how powerful are those above the Junior Rank?

"Rezen! Why are you here? What if you get hit by stray spells?"

From behind Rezen, he heard the familiar voice of Jenna

Since Stone Head and Big Nose were constantly moving while fighting, Rezen decided to follow them a bit so that he could continue watching them

His action was purely instinctive and only now did he realize how foolish his action was

Even peak apprentice mages might get injured or worse die when watching two Junior Mages fight, what more for him that is now no different than an ordinary person?

He was too curious about the power and fighting style of the mages in this realm to the point that he was not aware of what he was doing

"My apologies, I didn't know what I was doing. But Jenna, who is that?" Rezen apologized before asking about the old woman's identity

A woman with that level is definitely no ordinary woman in this tribe

"Her? She's the Chief of the tribe. No one really knows her name and everyone just calls her Chief since she is the strongest Junior Mage of the tribe. Our Waterside Tribe only has five Junior Mages, aside from these three, the other two are on a mission with a bigger tribe to provide the tribe with Resonance Gems"

Rezen's knowledge is still lacking since he can't just ask the things he wanted to know. Only now did he learn the number of Junior Mages in this Tribe and what two of the five were doing

'But to think that 2/5 of the Junior Mages are in a mission for Resonance Gems. Are the bigger tribes controlling the supply of Resonance Gems?'

In the Waterside Tribe, a single Junior Mage is a huge deal much less two of them. To think that the Junior Mages would be sent on a mission just like that

However, Rezen also understood them. Resonance Gems are resources that only Apprentice Mages use and needed but it was extremely important

There are talented mages that learned magic without the aid of resonance gems but they are extremely rare

Before a mage can become a Junior Mage and beyond that, they required the aid of Resonance Gems

These gems are only useful for the weakest of the mages but a strong mage cannot come into being without first obtaining a Resonance Gem

If a tribe wants to continue to exist, they must provide Resonance Gems with the younger generation in hopes that they could become the new Junior Mages of the tribe

"C-Chief! It was his fault! He seduced and slept with my wife!" Stone Head said with an aggrieved tone

"No! That's not what happened! It was his wife that seduced me!" Big Nose said back

Only now did the Chief learn the reason why these two are fighting and even if it was her, she cannot just end this matter here

"Call Erina now!" She ordered

Erina is the wife of Stone Head and the tribesmen immediately went to call her

However, what they found in Stone Head and his wife's hut was a scene that they did not expect

Laying down on the ground was a woman with a stone knife stabbed at her chest. She was bleeding excessively and the color red dyed the floor dirty

"A-aahhh!!!"

"D-dead!"

"Erina is dead!"

"How could this be!"

The tribesmen cried out in pain, grief, and disbelief. Since the Waterside Tribe is a small tribe, they basically knew each other

As such, seeing Erina dead is a shocker to them. Even if death is a concept that they are already used to, they would still feel some strong emotions after learning that a person they know is dead

"D-dead? What are you talking about!" Stone Head said in anger and disbelief before crushing the vines that wrapped him in a tree
