The voice was filled with fury and malice as if the source couldn't wait to destroy the magic beasts into dust. In fact, that is indeed the case
In the sky, an old man can be seen riding on top of a cloud. His face was red from anger after seeing how many humans died and are currently dying at the cruel hands of the magic beasts
In the Savage Beast Realm, the humans and magic beasts are on the complete opposite of the spectrum. They could only rest in peace when one side perished!

The old man said and he didn't even use a magic artifact such as a magic wand or magic staff to increase his magical prowess
No, that is not necessary. Even if he used only a small part of his power it still would be more than enough to kill all of the magic beasts present hereThe difference in power between the two sides is too vastly different because this old man is none other than the Guardian!
The peak of humanity in this realm. He was the reason why the humans were even able to carve a place of their own in this realm. Without him, all humans would still live in various tribes and they wouldn't be consolidated into a city
In his old age, the Guardian rarely makes a move because he cannot risk his own life. Once he falls, humanity will be doomed
However, the City of Hope also cannot lose one of their Elders. Aside from the Guardian, the Elders are the strongest mages of humanity. The loss of even one of them is unacceptable
At normal times, the Guardian himself wouldn't make a move to save one of the Elders and would instead order another Elder to do it. This time is different though
Since there was an important sector of the walls that was scheduled to be finished today, the Guardian was hiding nearby to ensure that things would go according to the plan
The Elders are already pressuring him to stop the construction of humanity's second city. If this important sector failed to be built costing the city a ton of important materials the pressure would become even higher than before
The Guardian cannot afford a failure this time. Hence, he hid himself nearby and with his strength, there was only one entity in the realm that has the ability to sense a Great Mage
At first, he thought that the magic beasts would simply use their strength and number superiority to attack the frontlines until they broke through the rear. The Guardian didn't expect that they would have the ability to suddenly appear here
If not for the Sage's existence, humans might have already dominated the entire realm. The City of Hope was established when the Guardian became a Great Mage and he planned on building more cities but unfortunately, shortly after he reached a realm that could dominate the world, the magic beasts already fostered their own Great Beast
In the end, the City of Hope was the only City that humans owned. It can be said that whether humans or magic beasts will fully dominate the realm depends on who would die first between the Guardian and the Sage
Of course, depending on just lifespan, the Guardian would definitely die first. As such, he was really anxious to have a successor or at least create a weapon that would enable humans to defend against the magic beasts
As the Guardian was consumed by rage due to the death of his kin, he controlled the cloud he was riding on to approach the crimson gate where he could sense the aura of the Sage
His speed broke through the sound barrier easily and it didn't take that long before he arrived at the crimson gate. He was about to enter it when a sense of danger caused all of the hair on his body to stand
As fast as he flew towards the crimson gate, the Guardian also flew away from it but it was too late
The crimson gate suddenly shook as a crimson beam of energy flew out of it. This crimson beam of energy was not to be underestimated as it shattered even the realm's fabric of space
Shattering of space! Only those with cultivation powerful enough can do that! Not to mention, the way that the space cracked this time means that even amongst the attacks that the Guardian and the Sage can unleash, this was top-notch!
With a heart burning with anger, the Guardian hastily erected a barrier as strong and fast as he could. He fell for it!
He fell for the Sage's provocation and petty tricks! If humanity called their Supreme Leader as Guardian because he was the one that was always guarding them then the magic beasts called theirs as Sage because of their leader's wisdom and intellect
That magic beast was too cunning! It can make simple plans complicated and complicated plans simple. More often than not, humanity suffered not because of the Sage's strength but because of its devious plans!
As much as the Guardian tried his best to protect himself from that beam of energy, his defenses still shattered and he was hit
His body was thrown in the air with his back colliding with the walls that humanity was building. Due to the impact, the walls shattered into smaller pieces
The materials themselves were ruined but even more so for the magic formation that was placed on the walls
In just one operation, not only did the Sage of the magic beasts able to stop the construction of this important sector of the walls, it was even able to injure the Guardian!
Everything went according to the Sage's plan as that beam of energy was not something that either he or the Guardian could casually release. They would have to spend time and effort to unleash such a level of power. This was a deliberate plan and not something done on a whim!
