Chapter 68 My Name Is Not 'Hey'

When The white-haired beauty saw him entering the room she gave him a gaze, putting her index finger near her cherry-red lips, and made a hushed voice, "Shhh..."

She only hoped that the boy wouldn't cause noise to wake her up.

Yue Yan nodded as stared at the state of the room that were changed after he left.

There was a man-made border created between both mattresses, using a long stick and blanket to partition their bedding. The boy laughed inwardly as he was amused discovering their idea to make a compartment using a blanket.

He didn't mind it as this would give Shangguan Sisters more comfort to stay in the room and let them live in harmony.

Yue Yan went to lie down on his bedding on the left side which was his allocated place to sleep. He guessed this could have happened when Bing'er might have shown her refusal and Ling'er stepped forward to find a solution for her sister as she was sleeping in the middle as usual.

He laid down on the bed, gazing towards the girls. Bing'er was staring at him but when he turned around and their eyes met she moved her head to another side to avoid him.

The boy looked at the crimson-haired beauty who was sleeping a hand apart distance, as the blanket was transparent due to hanging from the stick and light filtering throughout it.

Ling'er's eyes were closed as she was lost in her beautiful dream but the boy thought She looked incredibly adorable while sleeping and not a fierce tigress who was ready to strike their enemies.

Yue Yan also closed his eyes and decided to accumulate Yang's energy as he had nothing else to do in meantime.

As an hour passed, the past life lovers didn't talk or interact and just were busy with their own business. Bing'er was lost in her thought while Yue Yan had his eyes closed in a lying position.

Ling'er's eyes fluttered open as she work up, the girl stretched her hands and yawned before rubbing above her eyelid. She looked refreshed and happier, her face was brightened after having her peaceful sleep.

The crimson-haired beauty turned around and her vision welcomed a boy's face whose eyes were closed but just as she was staring at him he opened them and their gaze interlocked with one another.

"Eh???" The girl sat back hurriedly from her laying position.

The girl realized she wasn't alone in the room and they were in silver moon village for their special task given by the TianHai academy.

"Have you slept well, Ling'er?" The white-haired beauty asked as she noticed her sister woke up.

"Mmm," She nodded as she calmed down, understanding the situation.

"It's been 3 hours since we arrived at this place, other students may be approaching soon. He is also back, Shouldn't we prepare so we can complete our special task before others?" Bing'er questioned as she saw both Yue Yan and her sister were not taking it seriously.

"Yeah, They may have already arrived in the village but we didn't realize as we are resting in our room," Ling'er said, she drew the curtain between them as she threw the blanket upwards so she could talk with the boy.

He noticed her action as the girl was removing the barrier between them which meant she wanted to involve him in their conversation.

The crimson-haired beauty asked, "Hey... How are we going to do this? Do you have any plans?"

The girl decided to question him, thinking he might have a plan as he was asking the village head about how many beasts they would require to submit.

"My name is not 'Hey'" The boy glared at her as she didn't use his name to talk with him.

"Okay, Sorry Yue Yan but Now, answer me," The girl said as she apologized to him.

"First let me hear your plans, how you were thinking of finishing this task?" The boy returned the question to herself.

"I had plans of doing some labor in the city and then buying some ration, or hunting some beast before selling them in the city for money, and buying fresh food for our special task," The girl answered him, her voice filled with enthusiasm.

"Why not hunt the beast and supply them directly to the village?" Yue Yan asked as this was his plan that he thought would work better.

"We won't able to keep the beast's body fresh until we reach the silver moon village but in the case of the city we will still be able to sell it and I think most students going to use this plan to gather the three-month ration for their task." The girl said as she had already thought about this option earlier.

"Don't worry about keeping the meat fresh, you can leave that to me, just hunt the beast and I will supply them to the village." The boy answered.

"I thought you can not keep that many beasts in your spatial storage and moreover the village head would find out about your spatial ring if you supply them to the warehouse while carrying it in your spatial storage." The girl mumbled in a worried tone.

"Who said, I will carry the beast's body in my spatial storage? I will just take them out when we are about to enter the silver moon village. This way, it won't spoil the beast's meat with the time gap that we take to travel to the warehouse from right outside the village gate." the boy explained his plan in a nonchalant tone.

The Shangguan sister's eyes lit up as they understood his strategy to finish their task. His spatial storage was going to give them a big lead but they had to keep this a secret.

"When do you wanna start?" Ling'er questioned as she needed his presence to execute their task so she needed to ask him first.

"We can go now if you guys want." The boy shrugged, leaving the decision to the two girls as he didn't really care about it.

As the trio was discussing, they heard some footsteps that were approaching.

Soon, someone knocked on the door, saying from the outside, "Dong Ju has sent me to fix the Aldrop of this room."

Ling'er stood up and opened the door that was just closed without any lock.

The trio saw a middle-aged man in his late mid-thirties standing outside the door, there was a box in his hand which were probably tools to fix the lock of the door.

She saw the man who was surprised to see a girl would open it, he was mesmerized by her beauty but soon he calmed himself down as he wasn't a bad person and lived in the village.

Ling'er said, "Thank you for coming. You can take your time and fix this. We will wait."

The girl instructed him before going back inside the room as she said,  "Let's wait until the door's lock is fixed so we can leave the room without worrying about getting our stuff stolen."

Ling'er said, pointing towards the mattresses as she was worried the other students might take these away if they let the room open away for everyone to enter.

The upcoming student would know about their special task of getting food for three months for a family and might come to check the warehouse after they get informed by the village head. They would also be worrying about their living quarters in the village as they would not receive a place to stay like Ling'er's team.

"You guys can go first and study the situation outside about the arrived students, I will guard our room until he fixes the lock and join you guys." Yue Yan suggested.

"Okay, if you want then We will go first." Ling'er was happy that the boy volunteered for this as she stood up with her sister to walk out of the room.

As the Shangguan sisters stepped out of the room, they were greeted by the warm sun shining down on them.

After walking for a few minute distance, They noticed the distant chatter of the villagers and some students who were scattered around the village. They guessed it right as the new teams who arrived were talking to the locals and gathering the information for their task.

Ling'er and Bing'er made their way over to one of the groups, They could see that the villagers were very friendly, and the students were having a great time talking to them.

People were eagerly sharing the recent stories that had happened in the village, as it seemed the village head had already instructed everyone about the special task given by Tianhai academy and how to guide the students.

After the students finished their conversation with the villagers they headed towards the village's head house, unlike Ling'er's team who directly went there to get the mission as the trio already knew where they should go first.
