Ling'er was surprised by the invitation as she was asked to join in the bonfire. She looked at her beloved sister and Yue Yan, who nodded giving their approval.
The trio was led by the villagers as they made their way over to the fire, where a seat was around the burning flame. They took the seat first and soon other teams and villagers followed in, sitting one by one, scattering around the bone fire.
The night sky was clear and the stars were shining bright. The air was crisp and the sound of the bonfire crackling filled the air.
A group of musicians came, tuning their instruments, they were the locals who knew the cultural folk music. The music began and the villagers sang traditional songs, their voices rising in harmony as they were entertaining the young spirit rankers.
The songs were upbeat and cheerful, and everyone was in good mood. The fire danced and reflected in everyone's eyes, adding to the magical atmosphere of the night.
Most of the Students felt a sense of belonging as they never felt so connected to a community before. They were surrounded by the warm glow of the fire and the joyous sounds of the musicians.
As the night deepened, The trio got ready to go to sleep, the girls couldn't help but feel grateful for the chance to encounter the friendly villagers. The bonfire and singing had left a mark in their heart and the Shangguan sisters could never forget the warmth and kindness of the people in that small village.
Especially, Bing'er who was always called a monster by others because of her uncontrolled spirit.
Ling'er was surprised that the white-haired beauty was calmly sitting with the villagers and wasn't being unstable like old days. She doubted that it was due to Yue Yan's presence but she didn't get to confirm this point until now.
Other students walked to their own sheds they made using the natural resources found in mother nature.
Trio went in the direction of the warehouse as they entered their own room to sleep. Ling'er sighed when she saw the border as she realized she had to sleep beside Yue Yan.
The boy could see her nervousness as he asked calmly, "If you have a problem sleeping beside me I can go back to Big Sister Xue Rou and sleep there."
Hearing his statement, the girl became baffled as she didn't believe him and felt concerned.
'He won't stop bragging. This guy helped us a lot in our mission. Even the room was cleaned by him when we gave up on it and thought to sleep in the forest. I would feel the guilt if he sleeps in the wilderness.'
The girl declared, "No, you're not going anywhere. Just sleep here."
Bing'er gave a puzzled look to her sister but she couldn't make herself either to tell the boy to really go and sleep outside as she felt worse than Ling'er for thinking to tell him because of some reason that she was not able to understand why.
Ling'er went to lie down on her seat which was in the middle of the past life lovers as she closed her eyes to sleep.
She was nervous as she was sleeping beside the boy, Bing'er wasn't that worried as her sister was lying alongside her protecting her from the boy's range.
Yue Yan relaxedly closed his eyes as he decided to sleep peacefully, he knew Yuena was keeping a watch on him as he could feel her spiritual sense around the room. He could only thank her in his heart as she was in the village head house.
"Nothing, He didn't do anything. I was just saying 'I will kill him if he told you about something' but then he said 'I may have to find another boyfriend.' For that, I was yelling that 'I hate him.' I'm sorry," Ling'er said as the girl was truly sorry for what she did.
Not only she woke her up but also unintentionally caused her sister to hurt the boy.
***
Yue Yan went to the river to take a bath, unlike before he didn't strip completely and just took a dive normally. After he was done, he dried his body using a white towel before getting into a new set of clothes.
The boy took out the buckets from his inventory and filled them up to the brim before carrying them toward the warehouse.
Yue Yan brought the bucket inside the small room they were staying at.
He said, "Here, for you Sisters."
Ling'er saw the boy had a relaxed expression on his face as he didn't hold any grudge from before and brought water from them. She also noticed his wet hair and new clothes.
"I'm sorry, because of me she misunderstood you." She apologized in a sincere tone.
"It's okay," The boy responded.
The girl wasn't aware of the fact that Yue Yan would never hold grudge against his Bing'er. He didn't even hold grudge against Cang Xue when he thought she betrayed him.
He actually came to this world to help her although he said some dramatic dialogues to show he was mad at her but deep down his inner self was never able to hate Cang Xue.
Bing'er also wanted to apologize but she didn't do so as Yue Yan didn't stay any longer in the room and walked away.
Ling'er and Bing'er went towards the bathroom near the warehouse which was used by people that took care of this place.
The sisters used the two buckets of water to take the bath, as they didn't want to go to the river and wash themselves in the open where other students might come.
After the girls were done they went to bring more water from the river as they needed to wash their clothes because they only had two sets of clothes which were covered in the blood from the battle yesterday.
When washing their dresses and inner clothes was done, the problem was where would they put them to dry.
