Bai Xianzhi was at Three Thousand Food House dealing with a dispute. Two children had a conflict in the restroom, and it escalated to the point where they even transformed and started fighting. Although it was promptly stopped, the parents of both children remained stubborn. At this moment, they were arguing non-stop in the lounge at Three Thousand Food House
One of the parents was burly and well-built, with a sharp horn protruding from his forehead. He belonged to the Rhino Clan, had a hot temper, and was glaring angrily at the Soul Clan parent with whom his son had clashed. By his side, a small rhinoceros that had transformed was restlessly pawing the ground, appearing ready to attack at any moment.
Bai Xianzhi quickly stepped between the two parties and reassured, “Mr. Jin, please calm down and have some water. Let’s hear what both children have to say.”
Mr. Jin, the Rhino Clan parent, took the water but didn’t drink it as he panted heavily. He let out a deep roar, “No need to listen! They definitely bullied my son. I need to stand up for him!”
The Soul Clan parent on the other side sneered, “Bullying your son?” He disdainfully scrutinized the father and son, “Is a lower race like yours even worth our Soul Clan’s intervention? I actually think your son was too rough and harmed my child!”
“You!” Mr. Jin became even angrier, and a second horn on his head began to emerge, while his skin started to transform into the thick rhino hide of his race. He roared, “I’m going to kill you!”
The Soul Clan parent coldly chuckled, “Come on then, a lowly Rhino Clan member thinks he can harm me? That’s simply wishful thinking! As long as you dare to lay a hand on me, I’ll kill you immediately!”
“Ah ah ah, I’m going to ram you to death!”
Tensions were escalating, and Bai Xianzhi was quite alarmed. Though he wasn’t frail, considering the postures of these two individuals, he realized he wouldn’t be able to stop them. Just then, Zhuo Long arrived and stood beside him, dealing with the Soul Clan parent while Bai Xianzhi dealt with the Rhino Clan parent.
Although only in his teens, Zhuo Long was a dragon, one of the most powerful races within the Beastman Tribe. Among the current employees of Three Thousand Food House, he was the only one capable of restraining an enraged rhinoceros.
Seeing Zhuo Long halt Mr. Jin’s charge, Bai Xianzhi quickly addressed the Soul Clan parent, “Mr. Ling, this incident occurred within Three Thousand Food House. It’s necessary for us to investigate what exactly happened between the two children. We will review the surveillance footage to ascertain the truth.”
“What do you think—” The Soul Clan parent initially wanted to be impolite, but halfway through his sentence, he recalled the recent news about Three Thousand Food House on the network. He hesitated before reining in his anger and said, “Fine, let’s follow the boss’s lead. Let’s review the surveillance footage.”
Bai Xianzhi turned to the Rhino Clan parent and, despite Mr. Jin’s impulsive nature, his rage subsided gradually under Zhuo Long’s suppression. He had no choice but to agree, “Alright.”
Both parties sat down in the lounge. The young rhinoceros had reverted to human form; he was a stout child with three faint blood streaks on his face. The Soul Clan child also had a bruise on his stomach. The four of them sat facing each other, their gazes locked in hostility.
Bai Xianzhi retrieved the surveillance footage and fast-forwarded to the scene where the two children entered the restroom. One entered first, followed by the other. After about two minutes, the Soul Clan child emerged first and proceeded to wash his hands at the kids’ sink outside the restroom. At this point, the young rhinoceros appeared in the footage. He approached the Soul Clan child from behind, said something, and then the Soul Clan child turned to look at him. As the Soul Clan child turned back, he purposely scooped up some water and splashed it on the young rhinoceros’s face. The rhinoceros child then transformed, and the two children started brawling right outside the restroom…
Bai Xianzhi turned to the young rhinoceros and asked, “Young one, what did you say to the other child outside the restroom?”
The Soul Clan child exclaimed indignantly, “He said I’m as slow as a Dolphin Clan member!”
The young rhinoceros child wasn’t afraid at all, retorting, “You actually are! It’s just washing hands; you’re so slow!” “You’re the one who’s like a Dolphin Clan member!”
“You’re the one who’s like!”
“Alright, alright!” Bai Xianzhi interrupted the quarrel between the two children. The situation was quite clear. One started with disrespectful words, but the other initiated physical contact. In the end, both were at fault. Fortunately, their injuries were minor, and combined with Three Thousand World’s martial and robust atmosphere, such minor injuries were considered normal.
So Bai Xianzhi individually had a talk with both children, and the final result was that the children reluctantly apologized to each other. The two parents, eyeing each other displeasedly, left Three Thousand World.
Nuan, who had witnessed the entire process, commented, “Three Thousand Food House has quite the backbone.”
Bai Xianzhi was puzzled, “Why do you say that?”
Nuan explained, “I’ve encountered similar situations when dining at other restaurants before. Regardless of the cause, when one side is from the Soul Clan, Dragon Clan, or God Clan—these three major high-level races—there are only two possible outcomes. Either the lower race apologizes, or they get overpowered by the Soul Clan and then apologize.”
Bai Xianzhi asked, “…Um, doesn’t the Temporal Management Bureau intervene?”
Nuan sighed, “How can they intervene? The Temporal Management Bureau can manage things smoothly when the three major races are willing to comply. But if they’re not willing, the Temporal Management Bureau can’t do much because, after all, they can’t beat them.”
Bai Xianzhi fell silent.
The matter had been resolved, and Bai Xianzhi needed to quickly return to the other side. Just as he was leaving the rest area, he bumped into someone head-on. Holding his forehead, he apologized, “I’m sorry!”
“It’s okay, does it hurt?”
The familiar cold and calm voice echoed in his ears. Bai Xianzhi looked up and blinked, a pleasant surprise evident in his eyes that he hadn’t even noticed, “Why did you come? Didn’t you say you had something to do?”
The corners of Feng Ye’s mouth lifted, “I came after dealing with the matters. After all, not studying for a day is a waste. I’ve already wasted two days.” He looked at the slightly reddened area on Bai Xianzhi’s forehead and asked again, “Does it hurt a lot?”
Noticing his gaze, Bai Xianzhi chuckled heartily, “I’m not that delicate. It doesn’t hurt that much. But it’s getting late now, so I might not have time to give you a lesson today.”
Feng Ye smiled, “It’s alright. I’ll just read on the second floor. If I don’t understand something, I can ask you.”
Bai Xianzhi laughed, “Sounds good, let’s head upstairs.”
“Sure.”
The two walked side by side towards the second floor, catching the attention of Nuan, who was coming out of the restroom. She quickly grabbed Tu Linlin, who was passing by, excitedly saying, “The Lord has finally arrived!”
Tu Linlin was puzzled, “Doesn’t he come here often?”
Nuan stared at him, “The Lord hasn’t been here for two days!”
Tu Linlin shrugged, “…It’s only been two days.”
Nuan shook her head, as if resigned to the situation, “Even if it’s just two days, didn’t you feel any difference?”
Tu Linlin thought carefully for a moment, then shook his head in confusion.
“Oh dear,” Nuan sighed, “The Lord’s arrival would make the boss happier. Can’t you tell?”
Tu Linlin tried hard to search his memory but could only shake his head again. He really didn’t feel any difference!
Nuan gave up and slapped her forehead in resignation, sighing, “Alright, go about your business. You’re wasting those cute bunny ears on being completely oblivious. Turns out you’re a straight guy.”
“…” Tu Linlin blinked. A straight guy? But he’s always been a guy.
