Bumi Ming wanted to scream but he couldn't, he could feel his strength being sapped by the formation, Yun Jhin's headless body moved as he took his head back and fixed it on his body, his eyes glowed with a dark green color as he could feel his leaving soul returning to his body.
Luo Shang just sat there with his chest open, flabbergasted at what was currently happening around him, after a short while his chest started to recover itself slowly as it mended to close.
Yun Jhin put his hand over his neck and the deep cut on it slowly healed, Bumi Mings figure was starting to slowly disappear as his quintessence was used to heal Yun Jhin's injuries, the formation below him was created the moment Yun Jhin realized that he wanted to cut his head, when his eyes glowed he was creating a formation in his body using his blood cells.
Once his headless body would fall down his blood cells would activate the formation that has been inscribed into them and automatically create the hexagonal shape onto the ground to trap Bumi Ming inside it.
However he needed a catalyst to bind Bumi Ming to the formation as he could easily leave it if he wanted to, so he used the leftover formations in Luo Shang's body to make him throw away some of his heart blood into the formation, his peculiarly strong bloodline that invaded the little dragon's bloodline once his soul entered in it was extremely helpful against Bumi Ming. They were brothers but also opposites so they could counter each other.
Yun Jhin's neck made strange cracking sounds as it moved around as if it didn't have bones anymore, Bumi Ming eyes trembled as darkness started to cloud his vision and he asked slowly:
"How?"
Yun Jhin looked him up and down and said:
"Aren't you a pitiful thing, accusing your brother of something you have already gone through, absolute justice is the worst thing that could have poisoned your soul you fool!"
Bumi Ming didn't understand anything that Yun Jhin said, after all, he was a believer of absolute justice after his soul was altered with so he was just thinking that Yun Jhin was talking jibberish to him so he would die unknowingly.
The fact stood here, the only reason Yun Jhin was even able to fool the soul was that the fragment of Bumi Ming's soul was even smaller than what Luo Shang had, unlike Luo Shang who used his descendants to fuel his soul recovery, Bumi Ming used an even more exquisite formation to freeze his soul piece inside of it.
However, that meant the soul piece couldn't recover even though it would deteriorate slower with time, Bumi Ming's soul piece was slowly deteriorating and if it was left alone it would crumble along with the formation 10,000 years later.
Yun Jhin bathed inside Bumi Ming's remaining energy as the formation around them started to crumble, his neck injury finally sealed itself as Bumi MIng's soul shadow started to turn dim and almost disappear, he took one last look at Luo Shang and said with his last breath as revelation appeared on his face:
"Maybe I was wrong, you were always a pure child, was I the one influenced?"
The soul shadow slowly started to disappear and Luo Shang watched it go with indifferent eyes, his hatred for him wouldn't be abated because his last vestige of life died in front of him, after all, he almost went insane while he was sealed into the tomb for so many years, all alone, only meeting someone when his descendants entered the tomb, and those people he had to absorb to boot!
Yun Jhin started to inspect the room they were in as he took control of the last remaining vestiges of the formation's energy using his soul willpower.
Luo Shang sat there as his chest was slowly closing and his wounds healing, however, his loss of heart blood would put him back from cultivating for quite a while unless he found something that could replace the heart blood he lost.
Yun Jhin took a look at the throne that Bumi Ming sat on and slowly walked towards it, he winced as he felt phantom pain from his neck, even though his body didn't die immediately after he was decapitated if he was later even a few seconds in putting his head back he would be now visiting buddha again.
Yun Jhin trailed his fingers on the surface of the throne as he muttered something under his breath, the throne split itself in two as a shining cultivation manual could be found under it, Yun Jhin wanted to laugh but his neck couldn't let him right now, he grabbed the cultivation manual from the ground and took a better look at it.
The cultivation manual was hastily written and the handwriting could be even considered ugly but Yun Jhin was savoring its contents with gusto, it was the Yin half of Luo Shang's cultivation technique, Bumi Ming and Luo Shang weren't blood brothers but they were born around the same time by the universe, even though they didn't share blood, in their younger days they shared everything else, even the cultivation technique.
After the duo split up so did their cultivation technique, since they weren't harmonious with each other anymore, their cultivation started to fail so they had to cut the part that was basically 'poison' to them and leave only the things they could use.
However Yun Jhin didn't have the same problem as them and he could cultivate both, his ideologies could change however he wanted, his countless experiences made him able to change what he thought or felt like he was a robot who could install different emotion apps on his interface.
Yun Jhin started to cultivate both of the techniques as he used the last remaining energy from the formation as a catalyst.
Yun Jhin's main body started to change as his humanoid form reverted itself to his dragon caterpillar form.
His horns grew longer and changed color into one white and one black, his form shrunk to around 2 meters in length and 2 meters in height, his weight reduced to 300 kilograms. His eyes also become heterochromatic just like his dragon horns.
The same happened to his wings, he looked just like a Ying Yang pin now, Yun Jhin's eyes pinned themselves to Luo Shang as he said:
"Tell me what else you can do for me before I annihilate you right now."
Luo Shang tried to scramble away from Yun Jhin but his chest injury opened as blood started to quickly drip from it, if he moved further his chest could open again and his organs would slip from his body if his soul was left into the open Yun Jhin could capture it and seal it into something else now.
The cultivation techniques from the brothers were changing his whole being, soul included, even though he wasn't supposed to be able to mend his soul further due to the lack of his cultivation base, due to the balanced state his cultivation base achieved from training in both of the Yin and Yang techniques, he reached a state where his soul had recovered almost 20% of its former might.
Now if he tortured then stabilized Luo Shang's soul for a while, he would be able to absorb it whole without a problem!
Luo Shang opened his mouth and vomited dark blood as he fell to his knees, his head hitting the cold stone floor below them while he said:
"Please don't kill me, I have information on the other planets that you could use, I know that your base was quite far away from the four symbols galaxy, you don't have all of the information needed and I could also be your henchman, I can even swear onto my bloodline!"
Luo Shang knew that if Yun Jhin got a hold of his soul after he absorbed his brother's he would be a goner, he wouldn't be able to escape and reincarnate, even though he didn't want to die, he would kill himself if he would be able to reincarnate, however, that wasn't possible with Yun Jhin monitoring himself 24/7, and if he swore onto his bloodline he wouldn't be able to do much besides serving Yun Jhin.
Yun Jhin looked at Luo Shang and reverted to his human form, his human form became a young man looking to be around 24 years old with the same features as his caterpillar form, which meant his hair was both white and black along with his eyes, however, he didn't have horns and his physique remained the same, standing almost at 2 meters tall with a build that maximized both speed and strength, not too bulky nor too skinny.
His clothes were the same, the ones he forged for the 4 danger zones training, he looked down at them and realized that he should change them as his cultivation base kind of exhausted their use, he needed to get some crafting ingredients to create some better clothes, as for his katana he would be able to reforge it using his laws to increase its treasure grade.
Yun Jhin hand motioned to Luo Shang's downed body as it suddenly floated towards him, Luo Shang kept himself in the kneeling position as he swore:
"I swear under my bloodline to never disobey an order from my master Yun Jhin!"
Yun Jhin chuckled as he looked at him and patted his head, inserting some Ying-Yang energy into his body which accelerated his healing process, even though he was an evil overlord in his previous life, he knew when to reward his henchmen or else they might riot against him, of course, he didn't have to reward his death guards as they would all do what he wanted regardless if he rewarded them or not, but he was in a good mood right now.
Yun Jhin looked at Luo Shang as he got up from the floor and patted his head, he already had some thoughts on how he could use him.
Swearing onto one's bloodline was a thing that cultivation beasts wouldn't do unless they had no other alternative, some of them would also rather die than swear onto their bloodline, however that also depended if they fought someone who could absorb souls like Yun Jhin.
If one went ahead and broke the swear made upon their bloodline, their bloodline would activate itself and swallow their soul-making them unable to reincarnate forever!
Yun Jhin realized that there wasn't anything else left in Bumi Ming's tomb so it was time to leave, however, there was only one exit and he wasn't sure where it leads and after he used it the tomb would implode thus alerting the Bumi Empire's people.
Yun Jhin sighed as he disappeared from the room along with Luo Shang.
He just hoped the exit would be in the same place they entered, or at least not in the vicinity of the Bumi Empire.
Yun Jhin and Luo Shang both found themselves in an unknown plain, they have never been here before but they could hear shouts going around them along with the thick smell of blood, the dying cries of the unlucky soldiers who fell due to friendly fire, or the fact that they walked to centimeters to the right and their heads were exposed to the firepower of the enemies ki attacks.
They were both on a battlefield!
Yun Jhin quickly dived towards the ground and looked towards both sides while using his stealth technique, fortunately, two more people appearing in the midst of the fight didn't alarm anyone as their appearance didn't come with any flashes of light or any peculiar sounds.
Yun Jhin then realized that most of the fighters were at the Emperor Realm or above, with very few being under the Emperor realm and standing at the King Realm.
He looked towards his left and realized that this was a fight between the Bumi and Luo Empire as he recognized the military badges of both sides.
It seemed his luck was quite good as the tomb's formation gave him an exit directly to the intended war zone.
The unlucky thing was the fact that a giant fiery ki hammer was thrown his way to kill the people that were jumping and shouting around him.
He was in the midst of the Bumi Empire forces so that meant that if he was hit by the ki hammer he would die due to friendly fire.
Yun Jhin grabbed Luo Shang and narrowly dodged the ki hammer while he ran towards the camp of the Luo Empire, he was sure they would recognize him even though his facial features changed a bit, at least he could call the Empress and avoid a misunderstanding.
Yun Jhin sighed as he dodged the attacks from both sides masterfully, from time to time some attacks would narrowly touch his vitals and Luo Shang almost lost his limbs one time, but Yun Jhin's movement techniques improved by a huge deal after he cultivated the combined techniques of the dragon brothers.
For now, he would even be able to fight an Emperor realm expert head-on and make him run, even though his cultivation base didn't increase by much as he was still a 5th stage King Realm with only 1 stage of the refinery, he could use the battlefield to gain enough ki to increase his refinery stage, however, he would first need to identify himself with one of the upper echelons or else there was the chance he might be mistaken for a spy.
Finally, after narrowly dodging death blows from both sides he finally reached the camp of the Luo Empire, he could already feel some auras that sat at the Sage Realm patrolling around the camp, they were the back up meant to take action if the enemies came with their own Sage Realm experts.
Yun Jhin slowly made his way towards the camp and dropped his stealth, it was time to join another war so he could consolidate his cultivation base and increase it!
