A sects lifeblood would first be their defensive capabilities to keep the headquarters alive but secondly would be their disciples!
A sect with no disciples couldn't call itself a proper organization as it would be only an empty shell.
Yun Jhin needed a few things to make the sect attractive to those who wanted to join.
The first and the most important thing would be the carrot and the stick, aka benefits.
There wouldn't be problems to those below the middle stages of the God Realm as he had one whole planetary Bazaar under his thumb which he could use to siphon resources to his sect, he couldn't really drain them as it would be bad for business but there were many businesses that he could take at least 1 or 2 percent out of them which in turn would get him quite a lot of resources.
He could even gain resources for average God experts, at least those below the 4th stage could be accommodated in the sect.
Another thing that a sect needed would be a good reputation or in Yun Jhin's case, a devilish one as his sect could be considered a plague. Every man and woman in his previous life that joined the sect were all notorious rogue cultivators who offended people due to their crimes, they joined him for shelter and the benefits that came with being a sect member.
However a sect wasn't all benefits and no work and those who joined understood that there was no free lunch in the world, they would also have to do missions to get said resources or contribute with some other resources that they didn't need or the like, this was the notorious points system that most sects used but considering it worked properly since the construction of sects no one needed to change it.
One of the most attractive things to those that didn't come from cultivators families would be a multitude of cultivation techniques that could adapt even to their rather untalented bodies... and Yun Jhin had a lot of those techniques body refining ones included.
With Yun Jhin expertise in bloodlines and cultivation techniques, he could even make untalented people reach the sage realm at least if he experimented on them, normally it wouldn't be possible but Yun Jhin could trade lifespan for cultivation strength if he needed to so he could do the same to others through special rituals or surgeries.
As long as he advertised these things properly he would get so many people that wanted to join the sect that he wouldn't have enough space on the meteorite to hold all of them.
But Yun Jhin still had a basic requirement for those that joined. As he wouldn't take in every riff-raff that he saw, as the less talented they were the more resources would be needed to help them in cultivation, and even though he had a steady way to gain those resources they weren't infinite!
Yun Jhin took a look at the two old men below him who were nodding at him with great speed before he shook his head as he told them to send a universal advertisement about the opening of the sect, it didn't matter if the other sects knew that he was back because at this point the formation would be able to defend him, he also made sure that no one knew the connection between the Baazar and his sect thus if the others tried to cut off his supply they would have a hard time to pinpoint where did his resources come from.
The Baazar was basically a whole planet and a lot of the businesses were 'free' on paper and they weren't under the old men jurisdiction even though they were controlled and those righteous fools were tied by their 'morals' so unless they got a serious reason they wouldn't be able to attack those businesses.
While Yun Jhin would become the top tier enemy of the universe after he officially opened his sect some so many people would flock to his sect that it wouldn't matter, he would create a strong army that he could use to defend himself and the sect with while he would give them the resources they wanted.
Yun Jhin waited for a short while before the duo came back saying that they have sent the message to the whole universe using their connections. Yun Jhin didn't have to wait even for 10 days before a line of people appeared at the meteorite waiting for the opening of the sect entrance exam.
Yun Jhin exam was quite easy, he would personally assess the people who approached the formation and see through their talents, if their talents were below his requirements they wouldn't even be able to enter the sect's outer skirts.
Yun Jhin's projection appeared outside the sect, he cut an extraordinary figure as he stood there with his hands behind his back as he said:
"The entrance exam is easy, approach the visible barrier and touch it, if you can go through you are allowed in the sect and you become an outer, inner, core or personal disciple based on your cultivation, all above the 6th sage realm could be considered elders of the sect and God realm experts are Grand Elders that can be appointed to the treasury, martial hall and punishment hall."
Yun Jhin's hands which were before his back came forward as he clapped and the barrier started to glow with an intense black color which indicated that the start of the test had begun!
The people started to quickly rush through touching the barrier as 30% of them were stopped and they couldn't enter no matter what they did while the other 70% entered as they melded with the barrier and arrived on the meteorite's ground.
Yun Jhin had already identified most of their cultivation the moment they went through the formation and they were around 300,000 cultivators at the heavenly realm, 200,000 at the earthly realm, 100,000 at the ki cultivating realm, 50,000 at the King Realm, and 25,000 at the sage realm in total they were 675,000 people approximatively as Yun Jhin counted them, the earthly and heavenly realm cultivators will be outer sect disciples ki cultivating realm and King realm ones will be inner disciples while the sage realm experts below the 6th stage would be core disciples.
There weren't actually many above the 6th stage, they were only 10 and they met with Yun Jhin directly in the biggest palace of darkness.
The moment they saw him and realized that his cultivation was below them they felt that they had made a mistake joining the sect, but then they saw two God Realm experts kneeling to him and they immediately knelt as well before shouting:
"We greet the patriarch and the ancestors!"
They thought that Yun Jhin was the patriarch and the puppet of those two old fogies who could be considered ancestor level figures.
Yun Jhin didn't correct them as he got up from the bone throne and looked down at them, he put his hand on the forehead of each one of them while they kneeled 'blessing them' with some knowledge as a reward for their elder statuses.
They were each given the special cultivation technique of the blood throne sect and considering they joined his sect despite all of the rumours that were known about it they weren't saints at all, their eyes glowed with devilish light and sin as they digested the cultivation technique that Yun Jhin imparted them while he also slipped some controlling seals inside their souls which would fester inside until he would want or need to activate them, he would also be able to see what they would be doing through them.
The ten were then given a palace each as they were elders and they needed imposing homes to assert their dominance over the common disciples.
Yun Jhin watched as they fought over who gets each house at the outer skirts and the inner skirts, it was quite fun to watch them bicker but Yun Jhin only waited for them to settle down before he sent down the rules along with the missions and available resources that could be bought if you gathered enough points. He also added a currency exchange as they could use spirit stones for points or buy directly from the resources pavilion, but using points would end up being cheaper.
Yun Jhin made in such a way that they would rather donate to the sect for points so they would get closer to it and feel like they belonged to it as only disciples could get the discount and point exchange.
Yun Jhin looked over the whole sect as the disciples settled in before immediately rushing back out to do missions, most of these people were rogue cultivators who needed a roof over their heads to shield them from the 'wind and rain' of the universe, they were also wanted people as 95% of them had a bounty on their head and if they joined a sect they would get a backer that would make them shout out something among those lines when they were caught:
"Hey, you should let me go if you don't want to offend the blood throne sect! I'm an xxx disciple!"
They would become arrogant and display their backing offending anyone they wanted and attracting the wrong attention to the sect, but Yun Jhin didn't really care as those dumb disciples will be discarded leaving only the smart ones, while there wasn't any big test or anything like that the true purging will be made by their own hands!
Yun Jhin would actually never back up his disciples unless they were extreme talents similar to him or one tier below.
