Since Yun Jhin needed to stay at the sect to protect it he needed some strong people to take over his expansion missions and while he had gained quite a lot of elders and grand elders as time passed they needed to be kept at the sect for defensive measures, he needed to create another army, a special unit that would be meant only for expansion!
While his children had his 'style' they weren't molded well enough as they haven't gone through life and death battles up till now, they only lived peacefully with their mother while she would usually go out and hunt for food.
They were green flowers without any experience in fighting but first Yun Jhin had to make them strong enough that the moment they stepped out of the sect they wouldn't perish immediately.
With the power of the blood river and the resources that Yun Jhin fed them, along with his personal teaching they were skyrocketing through their cultivation bottlenecks.
In this situation, they would have got unsteady foundations but with Yun Jhin's expertise how could their foundations be unsteady?
He was pretty much a magnate and his children now had golden spoons, they could get what they wanted when it came to cultivation resources or help.
But there was no such thing as a free lunch in this world, the moment they broke through to the Emperor Realm they were sent away from the sect to a secluded wild planet to train further!
It took them around 100 years and Yun Jhin wasn't idle during that time, while they cultivated he also cultivated and he inched near the 3rd stair of the God Realm and he was almost there!
The higher you went the harder it would be to break through, the next breakthrough to the 4th stair might take him more than 100 years of accumulation and he only got here this fast because of his continuous expansionist ideas, he got a lot of resources this way.
Yun Lao looked at her sister as he sighed, even though he had cultivated accordingly to his father's instructions but he still felt that he was slower in cultivation compared to her, he wasn't sure why but she would always excel at things from the first try while he would have to attempt more than 2 or 3 times, his sister even called him slow!
His sister wasn't like that when they lived on the vermillion bird planet but she started to get arrogant the moment their father started to praise her, she started to look down on him.
He never thought of his sister as such a person, she was gentle and loving just like their mother, what was going on?
While both of them respected their father dearly he wouldn't come with such an excuse to talk down to his sister or else he would look both jealous and petty. He also knew his father was encouraging Yun Qinghe because of her talent while he was slowly let to the part... he was giving him less and less advice and when he was sent away with his sister to this damned planet he was currently on he saw from the corner of his eye that he gave her a protective talisman!
He didn't get any such thing! His envy towards his sister increased quite a lot as there was a chance he would die on this planet if he didn't act with caution while his sister would get away scot-free using the talisman!
His blood was boiling inside but not with hatred for his father, but to his sister! Due to the changes that Yun Jhin did to their souls they would never get angry nor blame him for whatever happened to them, they would only think that what he was doing was for their own good.
On the planet they were separated and put through a survival test to temper their temperament and gain loads of life and death experience, Yun Jhin even said that he would let them die but it seemed that sentence was a lie as he gave his sister a talisman!
Yun Lao laid down in the thick grass around him as he tried to catch his breath, reminiscing about all of these things made him rather angry and in the situation, he was currently in, anger was the last thing that he needed.
His body was full of lacerations and bite marks and he had a small hole in his arm which was constantly bleeding.
He felt lightheaded due to the loss of blood and his face was pale, he didn't know how much time he could last as he was being chased by some beasts that he had unluckily run into.
He was both hungry and thirsty as he couldn't find any food or clean water sources up till now, his surroundings were blurry and he could only lay down in the tall grass area to take a rest.
He didn't know what to do, his father didn't give him any instructions before plunging him onto this planet full of wilds beasts.
He started to cough slowly so he wouldn't attract the attention of any beasts, he couldn't stop himself as some phlegm mixed with blood was spat out onto the grass in front of him.
"I need to go on... my father thought that I could withstand this... I also need to meet with Qinghe again... I cannot let her thoughts become true!"
He wanted to go on further as he took a few steps unsteadily only for him to fall to his knees.
Suddenly the tall grass started to shake and Yun Lao's body started to shake, he was scared!
"No... no!"
He started to scamper dragging his body through the tall grass as hard as he could, he needed to escape! He couldn't die here!
Suddenly out of the tall grass Yun Qinghe's dainty form appeared, her eyes were analyzing the surroundings and she saw her scampering brother with a scared expression on her face which made her scoff in disgust.
He got closer to him as she squatted near him and said:
"It seems father really overestimated you huh?"
A beast appeared out of nowhere as it tried to take a swipe at Qinghe's head only for the attack to be blocked by a blue barrier.
Yun Lao's eyes hardened seeing her talisman at work, the attacking beast was rebound by the barrier and Yun Qinghe did quick work on it.
Yun Lao already got up and glared at Yun Qinghe as he said through gritted teeth:
"Your talisman throws the whole objective of this training out of the window!"
Yun Qinghe sneered as she said:
"Father gave me this talisman and he said that I could use it whenever I wanted to because I have superior talent, he actually expressed how he was disappointed your talent wasn't good enough or he would have given you one as well! He said because your talent is insufficient that you would have to fight harder trials to unleash your full potential!"
Yun Lao understood what his father wanted but his jealousy regarding his sister remained, it wasn't that he didn't understand why she was better than him, he just hated her for it!
Seeing his hate-filled eyes made Qinghe chuckle as she took her talisman out of her pockets and waved it around his face:
"What are you gonna do about this?"
Yun Lao's eyes turned scarlet as he saw the talisman being waved in front of his face, he almost went berserk as he glared at her!
Yun Qinghe knew that her brother wouldn't do anything to his darling sister no matter how many times he taunted him so she continued to wave the talisman in front of him, now that she didn't have it in her pocket anymore her barrier was disabled so what she was doing was very dumb, who knew when another beast would attack?
Yun Lao wanted to point this out as he actually learned something from all the running he did around.
But then he shook his head as he tried to get up and leave.
There was no reason to mind her antics.
If she got hurt because of it it would show to his father that he put the wrong faith in her and he would get his graces regardless of his lower talent or not!
Seeing that Yun Lao wanted to leave made Yun Qinghe frown, he couldn't get a rise out of him anymore with only words?
She appeared in front of him as she put her foot on his chest and pushed him down on the grass making his injuries worsen, Yun Lao eyes widened both in surprise and pain as he said:
"Why are you doing this?"
Yun Qinghe licked her lips as she said:
"I can feel something... the more I look at you the more I get this feeling, if I devour you I will become even more talented and my bloodline will be purified, and considering you aren't in father's graces at all I could get rid of you and increase my cultivation at the same time."
Her eyes started to glow with a red light, her actions truly showed that she was Yun Jhin's daughter while Yun Lao had also inherited Yun Jhin's 'clone' qualities he wasn't as ruthless as her towards the family, after all, he saw her grow up into the young lady she was today and he couldn't make himself attack her no matter how hard he hated her talent.
But now things have gone too far!
