Yun Duritz decided to indulge them in their wish for a feast, it wasn't like the tomb would grow legs and leave the location and he wouldn't lose the inheritance either, from their words he knew that for most of the people who knew about the existence of the tomb, it was akin to a dead end as no one came out with the inheritance or just didn't come out at all, the only exception being Yuan Fang and Ukog.
He had some of Ukog's memories so he knew a little bit about the tomb but it was all rather blurry and fragmented so they wouldn't be of much help or any help at all.
The feast lasted exactly for one day and one night, the foods were excellent even for Yun Duritz's standards and the ingredients they were made from were quite rare and precious meaning that Yun Duritz could stabilize his cultivation at the 9th stage of the sage realm and get his way paved to the God Realm to boot!
However, as he got closer to the God Realm he realized that the laws he learned in the mortal realm didn't match the ones in the celestial realm, they were off by a few percentages which meant problems, there was a chance he would be ignored when he tried to summon the laws with the knowledge he got from the mortal realm.
Or the laws would get out of control and destroy his physical body and majorly injure his soul fragment to the point that it might get destroyed.
Or there would be problems when the laws would fuse with his body and he would get crippled.
There were many variants on how things could go wrong and if he didn't fully master the laws of the celestial realm before he attempted the God Realm they could all happen.
From his analysis, during his meditation, he understood that the differences between the laws of the celestial and mortal realms were only minuscule but as mentioned before the differences would be fatal.
The only way to fix this would be to fill the gaps in his knowledge by learning the laws of the celestial realm but even at his best speed, he would be able to learn one law every 100 years. And that was way too slow for his liking.
"I can't go on a massacre with this identity and making enemies of God Realm experts at this stage isn't good... the only way for me to speed up is getting the inheritance of the Soul Emperor, fortunately, no one could get their hands on it up till now."
Yun Duritz sat on his throne as he contemplated, he already gave the order for their strongest team to come up for the expedition and as he thought about how to break the tomb open and get everything he wanted from it a voice broke his reverie:
"Celestial Realm to Lin Duritz, everyone has been gathered just as you ordered!"
Lin Lang came over as he saluted with a goofy smile on his face, he didn't kneel or bow but Yun Duritz didn't say anything, since they were supposed to be 'friends'.
"Ok, then we shall go!"
Yun Duritz got up from his throne as he disappeared along with Lin Lang, appearing outside the house to see a team made up of peak sage realm experts, they were the strongest guards that the family could afford, and most of them were made up of rather experienced hunters since wars were scarce to nonexistent on the eastern parts of the celestial realm they didn't have any war veterans but Yun Duritz would work with what he got.
"Since we are all here which one of you is the most familiar with the way to the tomb?"
Lin Lang immediately interjected:
"That would be Simon, he has the most knowledge of our surroundings as he is the one who hunts the most."
Simon walked forward and took a small bow, he was a man of average height with two scars running in an X on his chin, he had a blade stalk in his mouth and he talked with a rather thick accent showing that he came from humble origins.
"As ya heard da boss mah name is Simon, a pleasure to meet ya, as for ya question I can say that the quickest route is to cross the river so we can get to the mountain the tomb is on, boss."
"River? Mountain?"
"Oh yeah forgot yar noggin isn't working as it supposed to, let's just go I will take the lead."
The man started to fly quickly and Yun Duritz and the others followed him, they were around 50 people in total and all of them were at the peak of the sage realm.
They could be considered a rather unimpressive force but Yun Jhin didn't start with such a strong force when he created his sect!
This was only a backwater place and they already had quite a lot of experts not even counting the hidden ones nor its resource powers!
This showed that the celestial realm was truly way more impressive compared to the mortal realm.
Yun Duritz arrived at the river in question along with his whole team, as he looked over it he admired its golden color and length, it was quite long but not very wide so they could cross it rather easily by flying.
Simon put his hand forward as he smelled the air for a few seconds before saying:
"The Admiral Crocodiles are hibernating, it's good we can cross the river."
As Yun Duritz and the others got closer to the river he realized something, gravity increased exponentially the closer they got to the river and they had to swim through it if they wanted to cross.
The golden color meant that the river was metal attributed.
Actually, the river could be considered a rather insidious living creature as it could hide its metal fluctuations unless you were too close to it, it had a symbiotic relationship with the Admiral Crocodiles.
Simon described everything he knew about the river as he crossed it while Yun Duritz took everything in like a sponge.
The more he knew about the flora and fauna of the celestial realm the easier it would be for him to travel it after he ripped himself away from the Lin family.
After they crossed the river they arrived in a forest that they traversed using Simon's experience Yun Duritz continued to ask him for whatever knowledge he had.
After they traveled through the forest they finally reached a mountain which they scaled normally unlike the two previous obstacles there wasn't anything that Yun Duritz didn't know about scaling mountains.
As they reached the peak of the mountain they finally saw it, the tomb of the soul emperor!
Naming it a tomb was rather incorrect as it looked more like a Buddhist temple, painted in yellow and red it stood there majestically, the doors of the temple were both wide open and nothing could be heard from inside it, it was actually quite eerie.
But Yun Duritz had a team of courageous people with him so they all entered the temple without saying a peep.
Duritz looked around but he was disappointed as there was truly nothing in the temple! Even the prayer mats were missing!
He closed his eyes as he concentrated on the destiny accumulation that fused with his whole body.
The destiny swirled around his body as a snake would then started to travel through the whole temple, the destiny was just like water trying to burst a dam down, the illusion that covered the whole temple started to break as Yun Duritz concentrated with all of his strength, the people around him started to disappear as if he was entering a higher dimension.
He opened his eyes and as he looked around he realized that he wasn't in the same place as before, none of the people that he had been with were around him anymore, it seemed he was right, only the fated ones would be able to enter the true 'tomb'.
The difference between the layout of the temple wasn't changed at all, the only difference was that there was no one around him now.
"Hmmm..."
Where could the inheritance be?
Yun Duritz looked through the whole temple again and this time he did find a few items here and there.
He found a few bells that could shake the souls of those who heard them and some pills that were meant to cleanse the soul, some soul poison, or other things that had to do with souls.
He was actually quite disappointed with the number of items he found but this was only the first layer of the tomb, there would surely be more things to be found.
As he finished the first layer he decided to go to the storage rooms and cellar of the temple there he found some specially brewed wine that was meant to confound the soul... and it was useless, everything in the first layer was useless to Yun Duritz!
He sighed as he decided to advance into the second layer, maybe he could get things he could use in this one.
Duritz closed his eyes again as he started to do the same thing as he had done the first time he entered the true 'tomb' his surroundings changed again but this time he wasn't in the temple anymore...
He was at a waterfall in a beautiful valley, a clear river was near him and as he got closer to it he could see something glittering inside...
