Chapter 415: 415: Qin Keqin, Will I Surrender?!(Second Additional Update)
Yin Bin returned to the Yin family villa with Yin Qin.
Yin Bin took Yin Qin directly upstairs to the study.
Qin Keqin and Luo Xiaolang watched the solemn figures of the father and son in the living room.
In the study.
Yin Qin sat across from Yin Bin, sitting upright and tense.
He felt as if they were about to do something very important.
The stalemate lasted for a while.
The door was knocked upon.
Yin Bin’s lawyer appeared in the study.
The lawyer was very professional, he had already prepared the stock transfer agreement, which he handed out to Yin Bin and Yin Qin.
“If there are no issues, you can sign. The new ownership takes effect immediately, which means that Mr. Dayin’s shares in the Milky Way will be entirely transferred to Mr. Xiaoyin. In other words, from now on, Mr. Xiaoyin will be the biggest shareholder of the Milky Way.”
Yin Bin nodded slightly.
He picked up the golden pen beside him, signed his name in a stylish manner, and stamped his finger seal.
Yin Qin looked at his father’s demeanor, watching him in a daze, “Dad, don’t regret this!”
“If you’re scared that I’ll regret it, then make me some decent achievements!” Yin Bin said sternly.
“But...”
“What, you don’t have any confidence?” Yin Bin retorted coldly.
“Old man, can you not belittle me like that!” Yin Qin felt somewhat vexed.
Even if he was not up to the task yet, he deserved some encouragement.
Yin Bin ignored Yin Qin, his cold voice barked, “Sign!”
“I’m really signing it?” Yin Qin was hesitant to write.
“Hurry up! Don’t waste my time!”
Yin Qin picked up the pen, slowly signed his name, and stamped his fingerprint.
“The transfer agreement is effective. Mr. Dayin and Mr. Xiaoyin each have a copy, and I will keep two copies on file,” the lawyer said respectfully.
“Thank you.” Yin Bin shook hands with the lawyer, showing his gratitude.
“It is my duty. If there is nothing else, I’ll take my leave.”
“Thank you for your work.”
The lawyer left.
After the lawyer departed, Yin Qin just stared at his father without blinking.
Yin Bin frowned, “Have you lost your mind?”
“I could say the same to you.”
Yin Bin’s expression darkened a bit.
“Dad, have you lost your mind? Why else would you want to give all your shares to me?!”
“Can’t you be more accomplished, can’t you let me rest? After such a hard struggle for most of my life, can’t you let me enjoy the rest of my life? You just hope that I’ll die while still working? Or, are you just not wishing for your mother and me to have a happy ending?” Yin Bin’s voice became somewhat loud.
“So ... it’s still because of mother!” Yin Qin inferred.
“No matter whom it’s for, Yin Qin, you need to take up the mantle of the Yin family, you have to take back control of the Milky Way!”
“I’ll try my best,” Yin Qin responded somewhat less assertively.
Yin Bin gave him a stern look.
“Yes!” Yin Qin immediately answered in a clear and firm voice.
“Get out!” Yin Bin suddenly spoke.
“You’re not leaving?” Yin Qin asked.
Yin Bin narrowed his eyes.
He’s saying, ‘Mind your own business!’
Yin Qin walked out, looking rather sullen.
“Close the door!” Yin Bin ordered loudly.
Yin Qin hurriedly closed the door for him.
As soon as Yin Qin left, Yin Bin’s calm demeanor wavered.
He stared straight at the “stock transfer agreement” in front of him, feeling as though his heart was bleeding.Upstodatee from n(0)/ve/lbIn/.(co/m
He wanted to ask himself how he had come to the point of handing over all his hard-earned accomplishments to an unqualified little brat like Yin Qin at such a low price. The idea of being unemployed and idle from now on made him feel like he was crumbling, he held the transfer agreement, desperately wanting to cry, his heart ached with deep distress.
“Dad!” The door was pushed open abruptly.
Yin Bin immediately put on a cold expression.
In that split second, did Yin Qin see his dad crying while holding the transfer agreement?!
He said, “I just told you not to stay in your room for too long, you should show your face in front of my mother more, otherwise she will treat you as if you’re not there.”
“Keep your nose out of my business, get out!”
“Oh.”
Yin Qin left.
He went downstairs, heading towards Qin Keqin and Luo Xiaolang.
“Yin Bin.” Qin Keqin interrupted him.
Yin Bin looked at her, his face filled with sincerity.
“We are both not young anymore, together we are almost a hundred years old. We shouldn’t be living a sham life at this age. You know how this child in my belly came about, so don’t pretend in front of me. I was able to bring up Yin Qin on my own, and the same will happen with this child. As for you, since you’ve chosen to retire, then live your retirement life. The best thing for us would be to steer clear of each other.”
Listening to Qin Keqin’s words, Yin Bin’s face darkened.
He asked, “Qin Keqin, can’t you yield for once in your life?”
Qin Keqin laughed out of the blue.
She retorted, “Who do I need to cater to? Who should I be submissive to?”
With that, she walked past Yin Bin.
She was used to Yin Bin’s self-righteousness, used to his need to be superior, but fortunately, she didn’t care at all.
She opened her own door.
Then she heard Yin Bin say, “What if it’s me?”
Qin Keqin frowned.
“What if I’m the one who relents? Would you choose to forgive then?” Yin Bin asked, enunciating each word.
“No.” Qin Keqin turned back, “My greatest wish now is to part ways forever.”
Yin Bin swallowed hard.
Qin Keqin left him with one final sentence before closing her door.
He thought to himself, he might never be able to win Qin Keqin over in this lifetime.
He and Qin Keqin, they could only keep a polite distance...
The phone rang at that moment.
Yin Bin looked at the incoming call.
His brow furrowed noticeably, clearly a bit impatient.
At the moment of deciding to hang up, he answered it instead.
“Lin Ximeng.”
“Yin Bin, where have you been? You haven’t come over in days. I’ve reheated the food so many times. Are you coming back for dinner tonight?”
“I’m busy.”
“It’s okay, I’ll wait for you. No matter how long.”
Yin Bin was silent for a moment.
He said, “Well, wait for me then. I’ll be there in half an hour.”
“Okay, I’ll wait for you forever,” she replied, soft as a murmur.
Yin Bin left.
The moment he left, the door that had been reopened was closed once again.
A small smile crossed the corner of Qin Keqin’s lips.
Men, always wanting to have their cake and eat it too.
She really thought, really thought that there might be some change.
Yin Qin returned to his room.
Luo Xiaolang was still breastfeeding, while still looking quite green, she was already a mother.
There were times when Yin Qin would feel somewhat dazed.
Dazed that he had become someone’s father.
And Xiaolang?
Would there be times when she, too, found it hard to adjust to her new identity?
He sat in silence by her side, watching his little tiger gobbling up his milk greedily.
Luo Xiaolang turned her head and glanced at Yin Qin.
Yin Qin handed her the phone, “You forgot your phone.”
“Mm-hmm.” Luo Xiaolang replied.
“Did you see the news about me and Ji Baixin?” Yin Qin asked.
“Oh.” Luo Xiaolang nodded.
“Actually, there’s nothing going on between Ji Baixin and me. The media are just hyping it up to make headlines and boost traffic.”
“Mm-hmm.” Luo Xiaolang replied, her tone indifferent once again.
“Don’t overthink it,” Yin Qin continued.
Somehow, he felt the need to explain to Luo Xiaolang.
Sometimes, he felt somewhat guilty towards Luo Xiaolang.
She was still so young.
Yet so young and already the mother of his son.
Luo Xiaolang casually mentioned, “Ji Baixin likes you.”
Yin Qin was taken aback. Of course, he was moved slightly, having liked Ji Baixin for so many years.
But he quickly put it behind him.
He said, “That’s not possible. The media has exaggerated.”
“What if it’s real? Would you get back together with Ji Baixin?” Luo Xiaolang asked, suddenly looking quite serious.
