Chapter 458: Chapter 458: Something Really Happened (Third Update)
The next day.
It was the wedding day of Yin Qin and Luo Xiaolang.
Following the astronomical viewership and rave reviews of “Hall of Heaven’s” casting program last night, which showcased Yin Qin’s talent, the internet was buzzing. The whole internet spontaneously congratulated Yin Qin, and even created a meme pack for his wedding that instantly went viral.
Yin Qin was awoken at 4 in the morning.
He didn’t understand why. He didn’t need to put on makeup or change clothes or style his hair, so why did he have to get up so early?
He rubbed his messy hair as he sat up and looked at a handsome young man in the mirror who appeared much brighter than him.
Shouldn’t he look haggard? He barely slept last night, so how could he look so radiant this morning?!
Perhaps there’s truth to the saying ‘pleasurable company makes time fly’?
Alright.
He admitted that he was a bit excited.
Just thinking about how he would steal the show today made him even more excited.
After washing up, he whistled leisurely as he walked out of the bathroom and nonchalantly picked up his mobile phone to turn it on.
A plethora of missed calls popped up.
Yin Qin glanced at them, a majority of them were from Weng Cheng.
Thinking about how Weng Cheng must have been driven to desperation last night made him feel inexplicably elated.
As he was casually scrolling through them and was about to put down his phone, he saw a text from Ji Baixin. The text contained a photo of Ji Baixin, a photo of Ji Baixin being kidnapped, tied up to a chair, looking absolutely terrified.
Yin Qin’s face instantly changed, and his hand holding the phone began to tremble.
He hastily dialed Weng Cheng’s number, furious at the thought that Weng Cheng could stoop so low as to kidnap Ji Baixin.
He swallowed back his rage, the urge to murder, the desire to vent his fury.
On the other side, the call was directly disconnected.
Yin Qin knew that Weng Cheng was maliciously trying to get back at him.
Getting back at him for hanging up on him last night, for turning off his phone last night.
He bolted out his room door in a hurry.
Qin Keqin, who had barely slept all night due to a combination of excitement and worry about potential troubles, was directing everyone to redecorate the villa. The place had to look festive for the wedding. She even planned on secretly sprucing up their honeymoon suite when Yin Qin was out fetching Xiaolang. Her son might be an idiot, but thankfully, this idiot had a mother as smart as her.
As she planned all this, she suddenly saw her son rushing down the stairs at top speed.
His face looked terribly grim, as if something terribly wrong had happened.
Qin Keqin quickly chased after him, but by the time she reached the door, Yin Qin had already disappeared. A moment later, she saw him drive away at breakneck speed in a sedan.
This bad feeling was getting even worse.
Qin Keqin immediately dialed a number on her phone.
The call was answered from the other side.
Before Qin Keqin could open her mouth,
Yin Qin declared, “I’ll be back!”
And abruptly, he hung up.
It was early in the morning and the sky was still dark when Luo Xiaolang was woken up and surrounded by people helping her dress in a wedding dress and applying her makeup.
Xin Zaozao arrived at 6 a.m., and was immediately put in a dress, started getting her makeup done, and standing with them. Song Zhizhi, who arrived at about the same time, kept them company and reported on their progress to Miss Qin.
“Xiaolang,” Song Zhizhi joked, “should we prank Yin Qin?”
“Huh?” Luo Xiaolang didn’t quite understand.
“To make it difficult for him to take you away.”
“I think we can,” Xin Zaozao said, “It will be fun joking around with Yin Qin.”
“Then I’ll look up some prank ideas online.” Said Song Zhizhi proactively.
Most of the staff in the room were women, and they were all very excited to brainstorm ideas.
Luo Xiaolang just watched them excitedly.
She wondered to herself, is a wedding ceremony really that important to women?
...
After leaving Yin Ying’s villa, Yin Qin frantically combed the streets looking for hotels while having his subordinates search Ji Baixing’s check-in records.
Just as he parked his car and prepared to enter a hotel, hoping to call Ji Baijian for helping with the search process, a call came in.
Yin Qin hurriedly answered, “Mr. Yin, we’ve found them – West Suburb Road, Fortune Guest House, room 305.”
“Okay,” Yin Qin hurriedly hung up and drove there like a maniac.
He arrived.
Yin Qin exited the car and rushed into the guest house.
The guesthouse was poorly decorated, with moldy wallpaper peeling from the walls. Yin Qin anxiously searched for the room number, quickly found the door to room 305.
He gritted his teeth, and pushed it open.
The door was not locked. Yin Qin walked right in.
At that moment, seeing the sight on the bed, Yin Qin had a strong desire to kill!
His eyes were bloodshot.
There was no one else in the room.
Ji Baixing was fully conscious.
She looked at Yin Qin, her face as pale as a corpse’s. If it wasn’t for the tears streaming from her eyes, Yin Qin would have thought she was a dead body.
His throat moved but made no sound.
He walked forward, stripped off his own pajamas, and covered her body tightly with them.
He felt suffocated, trembling from head to toe.
He assured her as tenderly as he could, “Don’t be afraid, I’ll take you to the hospital, don’t be afraid, I’ll take you....”
Ji Baixing’s tears never stopped.
They never stopped.
Yin Qin untied the restraints from Ji Baixin’s wrists and ankles. Wrapping her in a blanket, he prepared to carry her away.
At that moment, Ji Baixing seemed to regain her strength, as she violently pushed Yin Qin away, screaming at him, “Since you weren’t here last night, why are you here now?! To witness my humiliation?!”
Echoes of desolation spread through the room.
