Chapter 24 - Going to the Store to Rent a Flat

Many young masters and prominent families within the capital wished to strike up a relationship with Xie Jingyu. Still, he was usually tough to get a hold of, so even if it were merely assistant Song who called them, they would drop anything in their hands to entertain him.

The young master that Assistant Song had contacted was a prominent figure amongst the rental industry within the capital. He owned land all over the capital, in every social class, and if Yu Huiyin wanted to find a suitable flat, then he would be the best help.

Assistant Song had seen Xie Jingyu's attention to Yu Huiyin and knew that she was going to be pampered, even if he had to give a favor away, he would gladly do it to help Yu Huiyin, even without telling her about the costs.

The young master, who Assistant Song had contacted, was puzzled and confused after the phonecall had ended.

Why would Xie Jingyu need to rent a flat? And if it was not Xie Jingyu, who else was capable of ordering Assistant Song around?

The young master was curious and hurried down to the store he had promoted on the phone call.

However, the young master was rather far away from the store, so he was not able to get there faster than Assistant Song and Yu Huiyin.

Assistant Song gallantly opened the door for Yu Huiyin and gestured for her to enter the store. Yu Huiyin did not think too much about it; Assistant Song was always immensely polite towards her, so she had assumed that this was his personality. She did not know, that this was, in fact, only to Xie Jingyu and Yu Huiyin he was like this. To everyone else, he was quite an arrogant young man.

The people who were on the floor in the store were all ordinary people. They did not know of Assistant Song's background, even the shopping guides were unaware of his background, but they were used to judging people by their clothes and bearing, and looking at Yu Huiyin, and Assistant Song, both of them were wearing branded clothes.

The shopping guides all wanted to deal with the two, but one of them was quicker than the others and hurried to their site.

"Dear customers, what can I do for you?" the guide asked, her lips drawn in a large smile as her eyes were fixated on Assistant Song, completely ignoring Yu Huiyin.

Seeing this, Assistant Song frowned slightly. He was merely assisting Yu Huiyin, so he looked at her, gesturing for her to speak out.

"I am looking for a two-bedroom flat, nothing too fancy, a monthly rent of around five thousand yuan."

The smile on the woman's face dimmed when she heard this. This was an upscale shop, it was not a place where they dealt with the middle class or the lower class, so the rentals they had were all at ten thousand yuan or above a month.

The people, who previously had a bit of regret for not being able to hook these two customers suddenly started gloating.

It was impossible to earn anything from them, so why should they spend time on them.

At this time, another person walked in through the door, but every shopping guide was busy. It was a young man, and he could not help but frown when he saw that no one was ready to assist him.

The shopping guide who had been attending to Yu Huiyin completely ignored her and went to the man, bowing slightly and began to ask him questions. It was clear that she had abandoned them.

Assistant Song was furious, but before he had the time to explode, he felt a soft palm on his arm, and he froze in horror. Had Yu Huiyin just held him back? This was horrifying; his boss would never allow her to touch others than himself!

"Calm down," Yu Huiyin said calmly and found a couch that was placed against a wall, where she sat down, crossed her legs, and began watching the many shopping guides.

Even when someone had finished their customers, no one came to Yu Huiyin's side to assist her, their actions making Yu Huiyin narrow her eyes, and Assistant Song grit his teeth.

After three-quarters of an hour, someone finally was unable to hold herself back any longer, and went to Yu Huiyin, who was seated, drinking a cup of tea that Assistant Song had gotten from a beverage machine that was placed in the store.

"You should leave," the woman said, her eyes condescending as she looked down upon Yu Huiyin. "This is an upscale shop; we only rent properties that are at least double your budget. You should instantly vacate our premises, or we will call the security to invite you out."

Just as her words fell, the doors opened once again, this time it was a young man aged around twenty-five, who entered through the door.

He glanced around the entire store, and his eyes landed on Assistant Song, but then his pupils contracted when he saw the woman by his side.

Was this woman Assistant Song's woman? Or did she have some sort of relationship with Xie Jingyu?

He dared not guess, and would instead try to get some information out of Assistant Song, but then his ears picked up the voice of the shopping guide.

"So stubborn, do I really need to invite the security guards to invite you out? You are embarrassing yourself and embarrassing our store. We cannot afford to have such customers like yourself, as it is lowering the value of our store."
