Sora already knew the details because Caleb had explained their plan to her and she hadn’t found anything wrong with it, the forces were well balanced, placed in all the strategic points and there was no doubt in her mind that victory would be theirs.
So she told him honestly, ‘You know, I didn’t even think the demons would be involved in this fight, so believe me, I’m extremely grateful to all of you, especially Connor for coming in person to finally free me from these cursed chains… Solomon, if it had been Lena instead of Connor, I would never have let her take that kind of risk… So thank you.’
Solomon chuckled then and he said, ‘That’s because you haven’t seen Kevin in action yet, with him with us, Derek didn’t even hesitate.’
Sora frowned at this and Solomon then asked her a little hesitantly, ‘Did Caleb tell you about Kevin ?’
Sora then said, because it was true that she had never seen him in action and she could only imagine the power he possessed, even though he was still young, ‘Of course he did, he told me that he was the new bearer of the Pentagram Mark… and that he was also a Warrior Spirit.’
When Caleb had told her about these Goddesses and Titans, he had also revealed his true identity and he had explained to her why he had been sent here.
He had told her that he was sorry for what had happened back then and that it was already too late when he had arrived to be able to save Xander, and he had told her that he was also sorry for not being able to save her and her sister.
But since Caleb had just revealed his true identity to her and that he had taken the time to explain his mission to her, she had just told him not to worry about it and that she had never blamed him.
On the contrary, she had told him that she had always been grateful that he had agreed to help them, and now, after what she had just learned, she respected him even more knowing that someone like him had not hesitated to come to their aid even though it was not part of his mission at all.
For her Caleb had always been like a big brother who had always been there discreetly to get them out of their predicament, how could she even blame him…
Solomon’s hesitant voice brought her back to reality and he asked her again, ‘Is that all he told you about Kevin ?’
Sora was surprised that Solomon brought up this subject again, but she still told him honestly, ‘No, I also know that Kevin is from another world than ours, and that one of those Goddesses tricked him and transmigrated his soul by force into the body of a boy who lived here.
I also know that he is very smart and very strong and that he fought against one of your despotic King’s champions to make sure that the rebellion won this duel and that nothing bad happened to Liam and Ian.’
Solomon was relieved that she knew about this, even though it was obvious that she still didn’t know that the boy’s body was the one of her own son’s.
But she would find out eventually, it was only a matter of time, and he just hoped that Kevin would be kind enough to share the memories he had of his son with her.
Well, he wasn’t really worried because Kevin seemed very keen on family bonding, and he was sure they would both get along well.
So he finally told her because it was something he wanted to share with her, ‘Sora, our world will finally change, there will be no more apocalypse and no more wars… Our future generations will finally be able to live without fear of another disaster coming.
And that’s not all… Our two races are already united thanks to Ian and Liam and the mark of the Union they share, and because Kevin accepted our help, and even gave us an important role to play in the battle that will take place in just a few hours, humans should have a better opinion of us and I really hope… I really hope that once our two territories are stable again, humans and demons can live in harmony with each other.’
Sora smiled and said to him in spite of herself, ‘I feel like I’m hearing your uncle and Xander speak… Your convictions are as strong as theirs and that’s why I trusted you too.
I’m sure everything will be fine… Kevin seems to be a very capable person, and as for me… Once I find Lena, I’ll finally be able to resume a normal life, away from all this.’
Solomon then said, still a little hesitant, ‘Sora… If you want, there will always be a place for the both of you here.
You’ll be free to go wherever you want and there are purple dungeons not far from the palace, you won’t even need to use a Teleportation Talisman if you ever want to go loot one.’
Solomon was nervous because he had no idea how Sora would respond to this, and deep down he was always a little afraid that he was going to go too far and that Sora would end up not wanting to talk to him anymore.
But fortunately she didn’t keep the suspense going too long and she said to him, contrary to his fears, ‘Why not, I really need a change of scenery and I’ve always been curious to know what’s beyond the border.’
Solomon’s heart began to beat faster but he didn’t have time to recover from his emotions because Sora decided to end their conversation by telling him before cutting off their communication, ‘Get some rest Solomon, I can’t wait to see you tonight… Don’t be late.’
She had said this in a teasing tone but Solomon smirked and he said to her in the most serious way, ‘No risk.’
