The countdown was coming to an end and Kevin had moved into a fighting stance, he was dressed all in black and the shadow that hid half of his face didn’t prevent Raven, nor his men, from seeing the creepy smile that formed on his face which gave them a shiver that ran down their spines.
Raven immediately took off his shirt, exposing his impressive musculature and his god-like body in front of everyone, and then he released his powerful aura, which made his muscles swell a little more, because he didn’t intend to let his chance pass.
Kevin’s body next to Raven’s seemed frail and fragile, but the aura that emanated from him was just as powerful and everyone wondered who would win… Well almost everyone because for Axel there was no doubt about the outcome of this fight.
Raven was going to get the beating of his life.
The tension was at its peak when they finally heard…
3, 2, 1… Fight !
Raven immediately charged at Kevin using his chakra to boost his speed and strength but to his surprise Kevin parried his series of punches and kicks with ease.
He remained in a defensive stance without trying to attack and with his head down.
Raven didn’t know how he was able to fight like that but he didn’t let himself be intimidated because after all this human was an Absolute Warrior and therefore he obviously knew how to fight.
Raven seeing how it seemed easy for him to pary his attacks, decided to increase his chakra that was in his feet and in his hands because this was not the time to try to save his energy reserve, he could always use an energy potion to recharge it, no rules prevented him from doing so.
And once ready, he attacked him again.
But like the first time it was as if this human could predict all his moves in advance and no matter where he tried to hit him his defense was flawless, he had not even managed to make him a scratch.
Suddenly he saw him move so fast that he didn’t have time to protect himself and he felt his jaw crack from the impact.
Kevin was pleasantly surprised because Raven was really a good fighter, his fighting technique was fluid, he was fast and strong but he knew that he was far from giving his all so he had decided to break his defense to show him what he was really capable of.
He only had to increase a little bit his speed to break through his defense and hit his chin, making him take a few steps back.
When Kevin saw him rubbing his chin in surprise, he knew that having become a Divine Dragon his regeneration abilities must have been very high and therefore he had not really done any damage to him.
But fortunately thanks to Elias’ teachings and Miguel’s recent ones, he knew that if he wanted to have a chance to beat him, he had to neutralize this regeneration ability first, and to do that he had to stop his chakra reserve from working.
If he had been able to use the elements it would have been easy to neutralize him, he would have just had to use the water and lightning element together to paralyze him, but as it was a hand-to-hand fight, he couldn’t use his mage powers and so he had to use his good old pressure point technique… Or he could also call on his Stage 3 and force him to give up as he had intended to at the beginning.
Only, now that Raven had accepted the bet, there was no need to use his Stage 3 because he didn’t want the Shapeshifters to fear him either.
Seeing that Raven was still stunned after being punched by him, he smirked and told him as he beckoned him to come fight : “I’m in a bit of a hurry, so if we could get down to business that would be great.”
Raven’s eyes after his provocation became completely golden and he said to him : “Very well, let’s get down to business then.”
Kevin had closed his eyes to better focus on Raven’s divine aura, and it was as if he was in a dark room and the only thing he could see was the outline of the golden aura that represented Raven’s body.
His Perception points were really high when he activated his Warrior Spirit skill and coupled with the sixth sense innate to all Warrior Spirits, even if he was blind, he could still beat someone like Raven.
Raven had become much faster than before and Kevin increased his own power so that he could continue to fight him at his level.
He had deliberately shown only a tiny part of his Warrior Spirit power when they met or else Raven would never have accepted the bet.
And Kevin preferred to end the situation as peacefully as possible because, as he kept telling them, the Shapeshifters were not their enemies.
Now, except for Axel and all those who had reached at least level 150, no one else was able to follow the fight.
All they could see were flashes of golden light that kept colliding and they were unable to discern who was who.
The elders behind Axel could not help but exclaim in admiration as most of them could follow the fight and one of them even said : “Holy crap, did you see that ! Our new King is not only able to parry all of Raven’s blows but he’s also able to take over their fight, it’s amazing.”
Axel smiled when he heard them and he kept a watchful eye on Raven’s men, because if they decided to intervene, he wouldn’t stand idly by either and so he said to the elders : “Whatever happens, let us handle it with Kevin, my husband has finally decided not to kill anyone and he just wants to teach them a good lesson, so rest assured, everything will be fine.”
One of the elders then asked him out of curiosity : “Can he really stop them from using their energy reserve ?”
