570 Doing his own experiments
Kelan, who always looked at things as a whole, had come to the same conclusion as the Shapeshifters of their world and so he asked Caleb: "Do you think there's going to be another wave of Legendary creatures or after this they'll leave?"
Caleb replied without hesitation: "Given the number of Werewolves in these centers, I'm sure we'll have to deal with another wave of creatures.
First, because it will allow them to test our limits and they probably imagine that we will make more mistakes if we are tired, and secondly, they surely think that we will end up being overwhelmed by their numbers... Too bad for them, this strategy is doomed to fail with us.
If it weren't for their numbers, these Legendary creatures wouldn't stand a chance against us, and since we can all use our Stage 2 at will, even Erik now, we don't feel any fatigue."
Caleb glanced at him after getting rid of 3 Phoenixes who had gotten a little too close to Kelan, and he asked him curious: "Why? What are you thinking?"
Kelan then smiled and said: "Don't you feel it strange that Elias and Miguel asked us all to come for this battle? n0velusb.C0M
The Demons and the Shapeshifters didn't even have to come, you're right, the Warrior Spirits could have handled this battle alone, without any outside help."
Caleb then followed Kelan's gaze and saw that he was watching the Shapeshifters with interest so he said: "Elias and Miguel probably wanted them to take part in a real battle so that they could realize the true power of our enemies and gained some experiences."
Kelan then told him: "Probably... Let's go then, let's go help them!"
Caleb then held him by the arm as Kelan was really heading towards the Shapeshifters and he said to him: "No need, other Warrior Spirits are already taking care of them."
But Kelan then shook his head and he told him: "It's not enough, you still don't understand... We're going to help them evolve into Divine creatures by serving them as many Legendary creatures ready to kill as possible for them to gained the maximum of experience points.
This way, the more levels they climb and the more chance they have of becoming a Divine creature."
Caleb had finally understood, so Elias and Miguel planned to help the Shapeshifters evolve by bringing them into this battle, and it might just work...
For a Legendary creature to become a Divine creature, it was not enough for them to reach level 200 to evolve, these Legendary creatures must above all have a goal to evolve, it could be the desire to protect the people they loved, like what happened with Axel and Liam, when they saw Kevin and Ian in danger.
Alternatively, it could be like Ian who evolved naturally when he first used his demonic aura while he was still in his Drakonit form, or it could just come from the desire to get stronger, like Raven.
Raven's evolution took place because he wanted to protect all the Shapeshifters of their world, and that he was lacking the power to do so, it was his desire to become even stronger that eventually triggered his evolution.
So Kelan was right to think that they could help them to evolve, because the more the Shapeshifters fought against these Legendary creatures and saw the power of the Knights of Darkness, the more they would want to become stronger and it could trigger their evolution.
So now that Caleb had made up his mind to help the Shapeshifters, they were fighting alongside them and Caleb with other Warrior Spirits were sending to the Shapeshifters, Legendary creatures already on the verge of dying.
On a normal day the Shapeshifters would have gotten mad at them for doing such a thing, but as they all wanted to gain experience points they didn't reject their good will and so they all worked together.
Nolan, as for him, was staying with Blaise and Phil who were fighting the Knights of Darkness, even though he shouldn't be here because he couldn't use the Divine Evil element nor the Angelic one.
But as he had promised his now new step father that he would be careful and that he would stay under their protection, Phil couldn't deny that he too was curious to see if Nolan could really condense the energy of the Divine Evil element.
Nolan really wanted to try to condense it the same way he was doing it with the Divine Angelic element, and this battle was really the perfect opportunity for him to try to do it as the Knights of Darkness were fighting using almost only the black particles.
As Blaise and Miguel who wasn't far from them also agreed, Nolan, while everyone else was fighting, was doing his own experiments to increase the power of his special ability.
Since he had to learn how to use his abilities while fighting, it was also the best training ever, even if Phil was constantly at his side to protect him, which by the way made his job much easier, and thanks to him he could really focus on training his ability.
Nolan had opened his special energy reserve, which made his eyes turn silver and an aura of the same color had appeared around him, because for the moment he still need his perception points to be multiplied by 5 to be able to connect to a powerful source of energy.
However, his first attempts were all a failure... He could connect to the Knights of Darkness energy, but he wasn't able to capture this energy and turned it into a ball of condensed energy as he did with Axel or Raven.
As beads of sweat appeared on his forehead, Phil told him: "Take it easy kid, don't exhaust yourself. No one expect you to be able to succeed in one try, so keep trying, but without putting pressure on yourself.
Blaise and I have your back, so you don't have to worry."
