Chapter 110 Slice of Life till the Soul's awake.

110 Slice of Life till the Soul's awake.

Stretching his back along with the sun's rising light, Han Li looked at Liyue walking to the backyard with a sleepy face and a still stooping head. "You are late, Liyue." He Laughed.

He was naked above the torso and was also sweating. He had already warmed up slightly. While beside him was Yue Li, who was playing with a piece of wood, slowly carving it using her small knife.

She was so focused she didn't even feel Yue Li's appearance.

Han Li sat down, smiled at that, and looked back at Liyue while taking a fresh breath of the morning mist. She shook her head to clear the grogginess and moved beside a wooden bucket: taking the cold water, she washed her face and brushed. Then, she moved to the side and brought her trusted stick—spear—while skipping on her feet to stand in front of him.

"Ready?" he asked.

She nodded. "Where is your mother?" he asked again.

She wryly smiled. "She is still asleep, big brother... I really tried to wake her up, but she kicked me out and went back to sleep."

"That lazy ass woman, she really needs some teaching," cursing, he asked, "So, why didn't you guys come to sleep with us after I told you to? We waited for you for quite a while."

Liyue cleared her throat, and her morning face blushed. "We really did come to your room, but on the door... we heard... uhm, noises?" Her face was reddy, but she still ended her words confidently.

"Oh..." Han Li thought back to yesterday and couldn't help but feel a bit amused. Yesterday was a really weird night for him; he didn't really know what happened after his mother used her mouth.

It was as if the rest of the night had gotten blurry. He remembered her moaning and him thrusting, but it was still very blurry. All he could say was he had enjoyed yesterday beyond any sexual experiences he had ever had in all of his lives.

"...who was making these so-called... noises?" he asked, feeling even more amused at the feeling of shame in his heart. Such things were so childish and new.

Did his heart still have space for such humane things?

Liyue pushed back a strand of hair and looked down. Han Li couldn't help but snicker in amusement. "So I really was making sounds in bed all night?"

Even Yue Li heard his laugh and looked up from the wood. "Ah, Xiao Li, you won't believe how many noises you made!" she said with a laugh.

11:42

She felt so refreshed today. She could also focus much better on her carving.

Whoever said emotions couldn't affect their motivation with enough discipline must have been more stupid than her. She was so motivated today she could run five marathons if it came to it.

Liyue looked at Yue Li and wondered how she had grown so much bolder in a day with a starry gaze. On the other hand, Han Li squinted at his Mom, filled with a bit of irritation.

"You work on that sculpture. You know what? You are so worse in comparison to our Little Liyao, Humph. You just watch as she surpasses you."

Yue Li looked at him with a similar squint. "Are you sure, Xiao Li? I think my heart healed already. And guess what? I am quite... talented."

Han Li raised an eyebrow. 'Healed your heart?'

He could certainly see some difference, but he was pretty sure a broken Heart of Cultivation wouldn't be healed that easily. So that meant she was making some progress in regaining her confidence.

'Did dominating me in bed really give her that much confidence?' Han Li assessed with even more amusement growing in him. "Really, Mom? You think your heart is on the rise?"

Nodding proudly, Yue Li scoffed. "What Heart of Cultivation this and that, you guys really don't know what depression is. I was just depressed, and I felt fresh after yesterday. You bet I won't feel so down from now."

"Xiao Li, what does it mean to have reached that level in the spear?" Yue Li asked curiously.

Han Li looked sideways at her from his seat—the grassy ground—and wondered again: 'Does she really no longer feel insecure? No way her heart healed that easily.'

He shook his head and stood up. "That means, Mom. Liyue now has all things basic about the spear down to an immaculate level. She can move the spear along with her body, it is one with her. For example..."

He took a small stone and threw it at Liyue at a moderately fast speed. It was a blur but clearly visible to the Eye.

It was the sort of throw that people could see and immediately defend with their hands. But the rock was too small for something like a spear to do that quickly, but with a simple, graceful shift of her hand, the stick rotated, and the rock was thrown back at Han Li, who caught it easily.

"This is the base of her ability, Liyue, to dance on the Spear," Han Li said with shining eyes.

Yue Li and Li Yao watched with wide eyes as Liyue did exactly that with a smile on her face.

They couldn't even begin to explain what it looked like. It was as if the spear was moving while Liyue vanished as if she had become the spear. As if they were already pierced.

Han Li smiled. "I knew it when you asked me that question about the Spear a while ago, but you really are born for the spear."

The spear's stick stopped two inches away from his face and blasted the air away from it. He smirked. She smirked.

"Confident, are you?" he asked, looking into her eyes.

She moved the spear aside and giggled. "Not really... I still think I will stutter in front of strangers..."

Yue Li and Li Yao clapped their hands while Han Li shook his head.

"Now is the real test, though," his eyes grew serious. "Anyone could become High-level in anything as long as they trained enough and were enough talented. But only the chosen can ever become Masters."

Liyue also grew serious and nodded studiously.

Han Li looked at his mother's half-complete house and looked back at her carefree face. She wasn't far from reaching High, either.

He then looked at Li Yao, who was sitting on a chair with a lazy face.

Just as he was about to speak, he could feel some Energy finally enter his Empty Space after all this time. His Dao Soul was back from its vacation.

His red eyes calmly shined. "It is really a day for celebrations. Li Yao—"

"Mother-in-law for you," she lazily replied.

Han Li looked at her condescendingly. "It's really time I fix your laziness up."

She frowned and grew defensive. "Don't worry," Han Li shook his head. "It is time for you to enjoy your lazing around. You will have to wait for a while."

She was confused, but he didn't explain.

He looked at all three of them and thought.

'It is time I started my training.'
