After a long day and a painful fight, I unlocked the door to my comfy, one-bedroom townhouse in the middle of the city. It was quite similar to the house I lived in before I was transported here, although the interior here is a lot better taken care of. I pushed my polished, hardwood door open and took off my shoes.
I sighed as I looked at the inside of my home. It really was nice, much nicer than anything I had ever stayed in... ever. I was still bleeding from some minor wounds around my body so I walked over to the medical cabinet in the kitchen. I took out a little first-aid kit that I kept inside and used it to clean up and bandage some of my injuries.
Ah, I want to have a break.
Actually, I still have to collect all my various rewards for the day. It was nearing the night and my Minions should be returning soon. I decided to head upstairs and take a seat on my bed to look through my rewards on the Shadow Hunter System.

[Random Ability Unlock]
Life Attrition
(Ultra-rare)

Ultra-rare?
It seemed that as a reward for killing the vampire, I was given a mystery box which then gave experience, a new ability and some grenades for some reason. I was trying to decipher all of the screens which suddenly appeared in front of me. After a few seconds, I was shown what the ability actually did.
Apparently, it was an ultra-rare ability which pushed my hopes up.
I read through the description.
[Life Attrition slowly drains the blood of nearby vampires. It drains at a rate of 5% of its maximum health per minute until the vampire drops to less than 15% blood. This ability only works on vampires who are ranked [Marquee] or below and only activates once the vampire is under 95% health.]
Alright, from what I could infer from the information, it seemed that it was a passive ability which slowly reduced the blood of nearby vampires. It didn't say how wide the range was but I assumed that it must be somewhat large since it's an 'Ultra-rare' ability. It seemed to only work on the weaker vampires and it only activated once the vampire is a little bit injured.
The rate seemed a bit slow, however. For me to drain their blood from 95% to 15%, I'd have to stand near them for 8 minutes. In a fight, that's a very long period of time.
It was possible for me to just stand on the battlefield and just let other people fight while my ability runs passively, which might work. Although, this strategy would only be effective in defence when everyone is gathered in a single area and most of the vampires are weaker ones.
If we ever go on the offensive, this ability's teamwork capabilities go down the drain.
Whatever the case, it's a pretty useful ability.
But most importantly, I've found out that I gained pretty significant rewards for defeating vampires. If that was the case, I wanted to go out and hunt more of them.
Suddenly, I heard knocking on my door.
As I opened it, I saw my Minion Manager.
[I've got the end-of-day report]

The resources were starting to pile up in my inventory. I had been turning most of them into Tokens since I didn't really have much use for them at the moment. In the terms of equipment, I seemed to have already hit my limit. It seemed weird, however.
Why was I already at the limit of progression for my equipment? Maybe there were other humans with systems that gave them more growth potential. It was mostly that my demonic weapons couldn't be enchanted, so they came as strong as they would ever be. At least, that's what I assumed, although I do remember hearing about the fact that they grew with me.
Whatever the case, I was more interested in my Shadow Hunter System at the moment. It was my main weapon against vampires and I had gathered quite a lot of experience today.

Well, killing vampires was definitely a very good way of gathering experience. Whilst my Minions provided me with a safe source of experience, killing vampires was the way to go if I wanted rapid progression.
I began unlocking rewards.

It seemed that I had unlocked another ability.
[Movement Clairvoyance allows you to see a few seconds of the opponent's future movements. It gives the actions as absolute, meaning they won't be changed, but it also means that you can't change them. Overuse will cause major headaches.]
Absolute?
Does that mean that when I see the movements, I can't even use that information to react? I didn't exactly understand what the ability did, I'd have to go out and experiment with it.
I still had lots more experience to use.

[Blood Stamina allows you to trade stamina for strength. Using this ability will give you a temporary strength boost in exchange for your energy.]
It seemed like a pretty simple ability, being able to exchange my stamina for a quick boost in strength. It would allow me to quickly increase my power for a short while, at the cost of my stamina, meaning I'd have to end the fight quickly if I used this ability.
I still had many more rewards to unlock.
