Chapter 113: Venelana Bael's Misery

Chapter 113: Venelana Bael's Misery

--- Chapter 113 ---

Underworld.

A group of devils is bustling around the Bael Mansion, preparing for Huo Yuhao's appearance. Even though they were shocked by the sudden notice from the Grayfia Lucifuge, they couldn't do anything about it.

They either accepted the notice or faced the Dragon God of Destruction's sinister side.

An adult woman with long brown hair and calm purple eyes walked out from a magic circle, looking at the Bael Mansion with a weird gaze. She has a bombshell body blessed in all three sizes, wearing a white dress with black accents that emphasize her beauty even more.

This woman is Venelana Bael, the half-sister of the current Bael Clan's Patriarch. Even though she has strong Power of Destruction and Bael's blood flowing in her body, she couldn't become the matriarch because of her other lineage.

"Venelana-sama! The patriarch has been waiting for you." A butler with an ashen appearance approached her.

Venelana sighed and said, "David... Just what's my brother thinking?"

"Does he even know the problem with inviting the Blue-Eyed Dragon God to the Underworld? Not to mention advocating the Bael Clan as the host for his visit."

David could only wryly smile because he had lived long enough to witness what Huo Yuhao could do to the Underworld. Just one slash of his saber was enough to obliterate everything, and David wasn't even joking to himself.

Maybe it's his coping mechanism because the Great War felt fresh in his mind like it was yesterday.

"Since Zekram-Sama founded the Great War King alongside the other clan leaders after the Great War, the Bael Clan's position always stayed on the top. It's also part of the patriarch's pride, Venelana-sama."

Venelana couldn't help but roll her eyes in annoyance when hearing David's replies because her younger half-brother, or what people have known as Lord Bael, is very prideful. She doesn't even hide her dissatisfaction with this man.

Lord Bael/Patriarch is so prideful and tight to the tradition, to the point of kicking his son because he doesn't inherit the Power of Destruction from his so-called pure Bael's blood.

"At least the Founder doesn't know about this yet. He has been sleeping for one hundred years, after all." Venelana commented while walking toward the Bael Mansion.

David followed Venelana from behind and replied, "I hope you don't get mad and blow up the attic like a month ago, Venelana-sama."

"People of your age have children and act more calmly too."

"Well, maybe it's time for you to get a husband-!"

David's eyes blinked nervously, sensing an enormous yet potent Power of Destruction pointed at his forehead. He watched Venelana glaring at him with her index finger stretched out, and demonic energy flared like no tomorrow. Some veins popped up on her beautiful face, indicating her annoyance toward him.

"David, how old are you again?" Venelana smiled at him.

"Why don't you retire already? I'll send you there personally with some broken bones."

"His pride about this meeting probably soared than usual."

"Lord Bael, huh?" Serafall pondered about the man who ruled over the Bael Clan currently. "I still wondered how the Bael Clan functioned properly in the past 100 years but considering the support from the Great King Faction. It's not really a worry for him."

David listened to Serafall's statement, shaking his head because Serafall was pretty much correct. Still, she missed one fact about Lord Bael and the Bael Clan.

Lord Bael becoming the patriarch isn't because he was strong.

He becomes a leader because of the hierarchy of pure blood and the former leader(his father)'s last order. Venelana couldn't fight this order because she had to submit or receive a backlash severely.

'Even the strong are suppressed by blood purity.' David thought while escorting Serafall to the meeting room.

Meanwhile, in the Lord Bael's Office.

Venelana faced her half-brother, a man with a solemn yet cold look and tall height. He wore a black suit with a purple tie that matched his short black hair and bright violet eyes. Lord Bael's age is more than 300 years despite his mid-thirties appearance.

"So, what do you want?" Venelana said while crossing her arms. She doesn't even bother to sit down and drink tea when facing her half-brother because he would never call her on a trivial matter.

Somebody might look at this and say how disrespectful Venelana is, but she has the right to act this way because of her title as Ruin Mistress alone, and their relationship isn't that healthy in the first place.

Lord Bael, or Kromael Bael, is staring at Venelana calmly. He placed the patriarch's seal on his office table, making the brown-haired devil woman frown slightly.

"Venelana, my order for you is simple."

"I want you to seduce the Blue-Eyed Dragon God and bring him to our side. With your beauty, he should succumb eventually."

"Bastard... You never change." Venelana's eyes glowed coldly. Her power of destruction flowed rapidly and covered the whole room, but with the patriarch's seal on the table, she couldn't do anything to Kromael.

The former lord's order binds Venelana forcibly, disallowing any act of harming toward the man before her. As long as Bael's blood flowed within her vein, she couldn't fight Kroamael back.

'People called me the Ruin Mistress, but what ruined is nothing but my fate.' Venelana gritted her teeth. She clenched her hand tightly, making the nail dig into her flesh.

Kromael smirked and declared, "Venelana Bael, as the current Patriarch and third Lord Bael, I ordered you to bring the Blue-Eyed Dragon God to Bael Clan's side by all means."

Venelana glared at Kromeal and indifferently replied, "Yes, Lord Bael. I'll bring the Blue-Eyed Dragon to our clan by all means."

She turned around and walked out of the room, slamming the door to show her contempt. "I hated it here..." She whispered to herself.

Venelana aimlessly walked into the garden and looked at the gloomy sky with black clouds. She sat on the nearest bench and closed her eyes because everything was wrong when she stepped into this place.

She cried silently and whispered, "Someone... Please save me."
