Chapter 447: No Words?

Chapter 447: No Words?

[The Disaster of Flames, Ignir has been slain.]

[Participants: Tsugikuni Haru.]

[Last Hit: Tsugikuni Haru]

The battlefield at No-deul fell into silence. The bright panels that flashed before their eyes weren't the cause.

"Damn, there's another thing added to my bucket list." Nam-woon grinned ear to ear at the sight as Ji-Hye became speechless. Even from the river, they could see that scene.

[...] Even Paul watched on with a frown. The pillar of flame in the distance disappeared in silence like its user.

'He killed it.' Dok-ja became worried when he saw the Dragon flying in their direction.

Most of them felt that this would be the end. But when the dragon crashed on the island they understood what happened. Hundreds of cuts marred its massive body, broken scales, missing wings, chopped limbs, and smashed eyes. The fear soon turned into sympathy, but he was soon put out of his misery. After all, he completed his task.

He stood atop the corpse. His body stained with sizzling blood and fire surrounded him. Others moved back on instinct as they saw the blood burning through solid ground. But, their worries gathered for the one in the middle of this.

'His eyes are bleeding.' Jung-hyuk noticed that before others, though not surprised. He had fought a disaster of that caliber on his own.

But, the battle was not over yet. They still had one more Disaster to kill.

"Sorry for being late," Haru said glancing at them.

"N-No it wasn't anything." Taken aback by his dry tone Hee-won looked around. But, no one tried to diffuse the tense atmosphere.

She thought that he'd come back with a smile like always. Not like this. It gave her a bad feeling. Even then she turned her gaze on their goal.

"Now that you are back, we can save her no doubt." The trust she had in him didn't die. Now that their leader came back, everything was possible.

"..." Yet, he stayed silent.

[Kukuku, why don't tell them that you can save her?] Even with that provocation, Haru maintained his silence. Which made his laughter louder. Paul enjoyed every bit of it.

'No way...' Dok-ja couldn't believe it either. There shouldn't be an issue with their plan unless he missed something.

"Fucking hell!" Kanae cursed as a blow struck her side. What pissed her off more was Paul's mocking behavior.

In the end, they'll have to kill the Beast Lord. Even with Haru around their chances of saving her didn't increase. She understood that much.

"Queresha, do it," Haru said. He took his step forward and deflected the fist that aimed for his head.

"I understand." She said as the Young Yoo-sung clung to her.

He made the choice and she moved to support it.

"Lightning—Disperse!" At her words, purple lightning covered the Beast Lord.

The small anchors on her body that homed the spells before now released all the stored energy into the body. Lightning equivalent to a hundred spells ran through her.

The Beast Lord's body froze. This time it didn't matter if she could resist the pain or not. The lightning made its way to her pressure points and overloaded her body muscles to the point that it caused serious damage to her nervous system. This drove her into a state of paralysis and stiffness to prevent any sort of control.

"Hac—k!!" She spat out blood as her knees struck the floor.

[Finally... I can... die... I don't want to...] Dok-ja heard her voice. He bit his lips, was there nothing they could do?

'No, there has to be something... someway to help.' He wanted to step forward, but Jung-Hyuk grabbed him.

"Don't make this any harder than it already is." His words made Dok-ja Grit his teeth. Since it came from him he couldn't deny them.

"You can rest now Yoo-sung." And as Haru's calm voice landed in his ear he heard the blade tear through the flesh. The last thing he saw was a small smile on her lips as her body hit the ground.

However, that wasn't the end of it.

[You're not going to celebrate even with such a generous reward? Or is it that you can't comprehend the value of what you got?] Paul jeered.

But, he didn't lie. This was indeed a huge reward. A new fable and it would most likely be related to dragons. That would help him a lot down the line.

But, the current mood had hit rock bottom.

'This is no time to celebrate...' Dok-ja could feel it too.

He was beyond shocked when the younger Yoo-sung died. This wasn't supposed to happen. According to the theory, the younger one(past) should've been safe. Even Shin Yoo-sung(Beast lord) said so, so why? Why did she die?

'Did he know?' His eyes went to Haru, he stood in front of Paul. With the way he made that move, his awareness wasn't unfounded. In a way, even Jung-hyuk seemed to know.

However, neither has said any words till now, but then Haru spoke.

"There will be a celebration alright. But after I see through a few things," His declaration caused a stir within the people present. How would they celebrate in this situation?

[Oh, are you going to seek revenge? It seems like you haven't learned your lesson yet.] Paul laughed at the foolishness, [How many more lives will it take for you to understand that you are—?!" His words got stuck in his throat.

The Beast Lord stood in front of his eyes. Her body was back to normal and there was no trace of any stab that took her life.

"W-What...?" Even she was as shocked as everyone else.
