Linda slowly moved closer to Nathan until their shoulders were touching. As Linda leaned in close to him, Nathan felt a chill run through his body. She whispered softly in her ear, "Would you like me to help scrub your back, Nathan Oppa? That would be so much fun, right?"
"No, thank you, Linda," he replied, his voice low and slow.
Linda let out a little giggle before she scooped some hot water and splashed it on her body, inadvertently getting some of it on Nathan too.
"It seems that this pool is too wide for just the two of us, Nathan Oppa?" she said in a cheerful tone.
"Hmmm?" Nathan hummed in response.
Linda then posed an intriguing suggestion, her voice dripping with seduction. "Would Meriel be better off joining us too? Or Gaem too?"
Nathan slowly replied, "I think that's a good idea," and gave Linda a broad smile. He continued, "This pool is more than enough for the three of you, and I'll be using the smaller one."
Nathan and Linda chatted casually, and Nathan's facial muscles gradually loosened up, allowing him to smile more naturally. Linda's cheerful conversation further helped him to relax.
Nathan leaned back against the edge of the hot pool, allowing himself a moment of calm in this pocket dimension. He had felt a lot of tension during their stay, but now he felt it beginning to dissipate.
Linda, who was sitting next to Nathan, hummed a soothing melody.
"You're really good at singing, Linda," Nathan said in a low voice.
"Do you really think so, Oppa?" Linda replied in a soft voice.
Linda continued humming as Nathan kept his eyes closed. She also tossed a few splashes of water at her body which inadvertently hit Nathan.
"Do you miss Edna, Oppa?" Linda asked softly.
At the mention of her name, Nathan opened his eyes and a wave of longing swept over him. He gave a small chuckle and said, "I think I really miss her. Edna's been with me since I was little."
"I'm really looking forward to going to Yunatea soon," Linda said optimistically. "And I really hope Cripple Marco is successful in finding Edna - she seems like such a pleasant person. I was really astounded when I saw how she so ruthlessly slaughtered the military that night."
"What kind of admiration do you have for her, Linda?" Nathan inquired.
Nathan took a deep breath, calming himself and allowing himself to become focused again on the tasks that lay ahead of him. After a moment of relaxation, he felt prepared to move forward.
"Linda, can you please take care of my body while I monitor the situation using Geen's eyes?" Nathan asked, turning to Linda, who nodded and smiled sweetly. Her cheeks were flushed from being in hot water for a few minutes already.
"Don't worry Oppa, I won't do anything harm to you." she replied teasingly.
Nathan leaned back, and his sight shifted to Geen's vision.
Geen, his spirit beast hawk soaring above them in the sky. As the sky gradually darkened, signaling the conclusion of the first day of their strenuous fight against the massive monsters battle, Nathan could feel his exhaustion.
Nathan wanted to ensure their safety from any potential attacks throughout the night so that they could have a peaceful rest.
With Geen's eyes, Nathan floated through space. Even though Geen was traveling at an incredible speed in the sky, Nathan could easily make out every detail on the ground beneath.
He spent several minutes patrolling their shelter area, then he widened his focus to cover a larger area.
Robert and his subordinates had also taken steps to ensure that the dimensional crack in the pocket dimension was closely monitored. Whenever a monster emerged from there, they would always assess the size and danger of their numbers.
"Supposedly," Nathan thought to himself, "all the monsters that had emerged from the seven dimensional cracks have already been eradicated. Unless there are other places where they might be appearing from..."
Nathan asked Geen to travel even further, and fly as fast as possible so that he could still monitor anything on the ground, now that the darkness of night was beginning to fall.
At that moment, Nathan spotted a movement in the distance, "What's going on over there?" Geen quickly descended and flew towards the source of the movement, and maybe there had been an explosion too?
[Visual Linking: Share its vision with the owner.]
Geen's Visual Linking skill only allowed Nathan to see with its eyes, not its other senses. However, this was enough for him to grasp what was happening on the ground.
"A battle? And who are they?"
Nathan attempted to discern the figures of four people locked in combat. Geen was zipping between the trees, and Nathan was able to detect the outlines of many creatures with dark-hued bodies fighting against four individuals in apparel adorned with the CEHA symbol.
"Lily? Lewis?" Nathan finally recognized them; two of them were his half-siblings.
"What are they doing here?"
[Elite Shadow Wraith Lv. 100]
Nathan's body trembled as he took in the sight of the monster they had just fought. "Level One Hundred?" he murmured in disbelief.
The four of them worked together in perfect harmony, making full use of the different roles in their party.
Lewis was highly adept at blocking any potentially lethal attacks, while Lily and the other girl used their swords to great effect, moving agilely around the battlefield. In addition, the mage was highly proficient at dealing out damage and supporting the team.
After witnessing such well-coordinated and orderly fights, Nathan felt there was still so much to learn.
"If one has the same level of strength as their enemy, it will be much easier to win the battle if they unite and cooperate together like this." He reflected to himself.
"And..." Nathan continued, "Are they certain that the participants here will be able to handle the Elite Monster at this level of difficulty?"
