CH 27.1

Name:My Two Dads Author:
The moment Yang Han opened the door, she purposely straightened her back. She saw Liu Zuo Ye outside the door, wearing a light blue jacket.

Yang Han had to lift her head a little when she looked at her.

Somehow, it felt like she had grown taller again. Yang Han sighed at her small stature in comparison.

She said, “Hello…”

Liu Zuo Ye: “Happy holidays.”

She let out a breath of warm air as Yang Han invited her to sit inside. Liu Zuo carried with her a black sports backpack – the same one she used before – as she walked in.

She saw the large calligraphy piece as she entered.

Liu Zuo Ye: “……”

This felt like a ceremonial ritual for every single person who enter Yang Han’s house as they take the first step in, getting baptized by this shockingly touching calligraphy piece.

Yang Han said, “You can sit on the couch first.” She struggled for a long time, not knowing what to call her as. She then said, “Or should I take you to my room? Xiao Lu is there too…that…Xiao Ye.”

Hearing that nickname, the corners of Liu Zuo Ye’s lips curved upwards a little.

She asked, “Is Uncle Han at home.”

Yang Han: “Yeah, let me go get him.”

Liu Zuo Ye: “Then, I’ll wait in the living room first.”

Although she said was going to wait, she couldn’t really relax at all. Standing in front of the couch, not even putting her backpack down, mindlessly rubbing the strap of her bag as if she was about to solemnly meet someone.

Yang Han shouted at Han Shi Yu as she walked up the stairs to his study.

Liu Zuo Ye appeared a little restless as she waited. Her gaze flickered around her surroundings but in the end, it was drawn to the calligraphy piece hanging on the wall.

She walked over to that calligraphy piece and looked at the bottom, finding a familiar name written on it. Liu Zuo Ye blinked a little as the three words reflected in her pupils changed into a hint of smile.

The door opened with a clack as Yang Mo came out of the kitchen. The rice was still steaming and they could have lunch soon. He originally wanted to call the three children down to eat, but as soon as he took two steps out of the kitchen, he saw the girl standing in front of the couch.

Liu Zuo Ye heard the footsteps, turned her head and froze for a moment when she saw Yang Mo. “Hello…”

Yang Mo nodded towards her and said, “Yang Han’s classmate?”

Liu Zuo Ye: “Yes.”

Liu Zuo Ye couldn’t recall it in that moment and asked, “You are?”

Yang Mo: “I’m her father.”

Liu Zuo Ye realized, “Oh, I remember now.”

Back when school just started, the girls around her often passed pictures of ‘Yang Han’s parent’ around. She wasn’t very interested in such things and only glanced at them in the passing.

All she knew about Yang Han at that time was from her own peers. However, these people’s gazes were filled with malicious intent, painting Yang Han’s behaviour as showing off. Plus, they often talked right in front of her too.

Liu Zuo Ye did not have the habit of talking behind someone’s back but she never tried controlling what others had to say either. When a friend discusses such matters with her, she usually listened in silence. But there was one time, it seemed to have reached Xu Jia’s ears.

She thought Yang Han would mind it, so she took the chance to go “advise” Yang Han. However, Yang Han’s attitude did not seem to be very friendly.

Then came the time with Yue Kao. Her impression of this little princess changed.

It was also during that time that she happened to see Yang Mo who rushed to the school. She thought he was Yang Han’s “cousin”, who looked a little more handsome in person than in the photo. But with just that one glance, Liu Zuo Ye thought Yang Mo looked really familiar.

And even later on, she was told by Yang Han that she came from a same-sex family and that Yang Mo who came to the school that day was actually her other father.

When Yang Han told this story, she seemed really restless and uneasy. However, to Yang Han’s surprise, Liu Zuo Ye accepted it really quickly and without any hesitance or pauses that made Yang Han’s heart drop.

In the barbeque restaurant, Yang Han cautiously asked her why. Even a fujoshi like Xu Jia or a direct relative like Old Yang, needed some time to react after receiving the news.

Liu Zuo Ye said it was because his godfather was also from a same-sex family.

She added on with, ‘he once was’.

Yang Han bit down on her fork in silence.

Han Shi Yu was dragged down by Yang Han.

It was just about time for dinner too. He followed behind Xiao Yang and walked slowly. Halfway down the stairs, he spotted Liu Zuo Ye.

When Liu Zuo Ye heard the footsteps, she turned her head and saw Han Shi Yu too. The two of them looked at each other, she pursed her lips for a moment before calling out, “Uncle Han.”

The first time Yang Mo met Xie Chen Min was when he held down Han Shi Yu by his neck to convict him over the Master Kong mushroom stew chicken incident.

When he hung out with Han Shi Yu before, he also often heard the name “Brother Min” from his mouth.

Xie Chen Min was the oldest in the dorm, while Han Shi Yu was the youngest. Old Sui and Brother Qi teased that if the F4 group from the school of management debuted, Xiao Han could probably be counted as the “youngest”.

The three big brothers in the dorm took really good care of this younger brother in all possible aspects – even when Han Shi Yu was beaten up, it was done by the three of them too.

The relationship between the four of them were as strong as iron. They shared in all their happiness and misfortunes, and were a good example of what good brothers are like.

Midterms and finals were lined up right after each other. After a few days of tutoring, the semester was about to end.

Yang Mo originally thought he was done with coaxing Han Shi Yu, but two days after the weekend, Han Shi Yu was still silent.

Until the night after another two days did Han Shi Yu send a message to Yang Mo. “Sorry, senior, a lot has been happening lately.”

Yang Mo had just returned from showering and the message was sent 30 minutes ago.

Han Shi Yu sent another message after the previous one: “That…Can I come to your dorm tonight?”
