Chapter 228

Ji Qingqing looked at Lu Lixing who was standing at the entrance. She was completely dumbfounded.

The shirt he was wearing was the one that she had picked for him in the morning. Although the color didn’t really match well, his tie was fastened by her—albeit it was done casually and messily. His belt was also bought by her though she didn’t spend much money on it.

Such a formally dressed man should be on the 22nd floor of Lu Corporation working. Why did he come here?

Could it be because of her?

That thought suddenly popped up in Ji Qingqing’s mind and her heart started to race uncontrollably.

While Ji Qingqing was in that dumbfounded state, Director Wang stood up and greeted Lu Lixing.

“Mr. Lu, thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy schedule to participate in this program.”

“Your welcome, Director Wang.”

Although this was the first time some of the people in the resting area had seen Lu Lixing, they did hear about him before—but had never had the chance to properly meet him until now.

“Hello Mr. Lu, I’ve heard so much about you...”

They went forward to greet him, apart from Ji Qingqing who sat motionlessly on the sofa.

Her greeting successfully made the words that Lu Lixing had deliberated for a while get stuck in his throat.

Lin Zhen rolled her eyes at Chen Shuyi. Gritting her teeth, she whispered, “Didn’t you say that the two of them are boyfriend and girlfriend and also soon-to-be husband and wife? Do they currently look like a couple to you?”

Chen Shuyi was also clueless as to why the two of them were behaving like that today—appearing like two strangers.

Director Wang spoke a few words and ended his speech. Then he personally handed out the room cards to let the guests head back to their rooms and have a rest first.

Naturally, the rooms that were booked were suites that had two bedrooms within them.

Although this program was a dating program, the crew obviously could not let the two guests sleep together for real.

Ji Qingqing took the room card. She stood up and smiled. “Director Wang, I’ll be heading up first then. If there’s anything else, you can contact me again.”

“Alright.”

Ji Qingqing glanced at Qin Yue and proceeded to leave the resting area.

Lu Lixing also got up too. Director Wang and two other celebrities walked over wanting to speak with him, but his gaze was locked on Ji Qingqing. “My apologies, I still have something going on so I’ll be leaving first.”
