Chen Jing smiled in response and left immediately after bidding Ji Qingqing goodbye.

Lu Lixing took Ji Qingqing by the hand and brought her inside the office. His expression was calm and she couldn’t see any trace of joy on his features.

Ji Qingqing’s face scrunched up into a frown. This reaction was not what she had been expecting.

Why are you so calm?

“Are you upset?”

The moment the office door closed, Lu Lixing turned his head and gave Ji Qingqing a surprise kiss on the lips.

Only then did Ji Qingqing feel his trembling breathing, his trembling hands on her body.

Lu Lixing gently covered her lower abdomen with his hand. His forehead leaned against Ji Qingqing’s forehead and the tip of his nose touched the tip of hers. His throat bobbed up and down and he looked like he was on the verge of tears.
