Chapter 35 Our Room?

"Our room?" She asked him with an amusing tone and her eyes were filled with mischief.

"I didn't mean that… I mean you may also have one in your room and I have one here." He said hurriedly as he saw her misunderstanding him.

"You know we can make your statement true… But anyway… VR pods are only for us special students who live in Grand Dew Garden. We can attend our battle training classes from our rooms. You only need to go for theory classes." She explained in a gentle manner.

"I need to bring back my bags from the school office. The second mother told me she would send it there in an hour." Rio said to her as he saw the cupboard.

"Okay… let's meet here in ten minutes." Saying that she left before Rio.

He couldn't understand this girl as he saw her going outside the building. He caught up to her.

"Why meet again in ten minutes?" He asked her as he walked alongside her.

"Why are you reluctant to meet your sweet friend? It's a bad habit, Rio." She said in a sarcastic tone thinking he would understand her sarcasm.

He scratched his head awkwardly as he thought it might be wrong between friends.

She found it amusing as she saw his reaction.

They walked together to the school building while Nyla showed him places and introduced them to him.

She went towards the shopping area on the right side while Rio entered the office building.

After ten minutes… he was back in his apartment and Nyla followed behind him.

He placed the bag near the cupboard and asked "What now?"

"Let's wait a few minutes and you will know." She said in a mysterious voice.

She moved towards the cupboard and opened it.

She started unpacking his stuff and placing them in the cupboard.

Rio shook his head looking at her action and went to check the portal capsule.

He opened the door at the corner of the kitchen table and bedroom door.

He went inside and found there was nothing inside but it was similar to the portal capsule at the school gate.

He tapped his watch that rang with some notification sounds and synced with the portal as its door closed.

A text appeared on the screen of the AI watch with the letters, "Teleport."

'Oh… this works the same way…'

He didn't take the next step and proceeded to open the door of the portal capsule to come out with a happy look.

However, he remembered something and ran towards his bedroom. What he saw made his face turn red.

Nyla was almost done with setting up his cupboard but she was currently putting his underwear inside.

She turned around and saw his beet-red face.

"What happened?" She asked as if not knowing the reason.

"Nothing…" He didn't say it as it was embarrassing to talk about it.

Nyla placed his empty bag in the cupboard as well and closed it.

*Ding-Dong!*

A bell rang in the room which indicated

That someone was at the door.

"Finally, it has arrived. Let's get it." She said and moved towards the door of the hall.

"What arrived?" He asked her with questioning eyes and followed behind her.

She opened the door and there were two boys at the door in staff costumes. They were carrying something rectangular.

"Carry it inside and place them in the bedroom." Nyla beckoned them.

They followed her instructions and went to the bedroom. They unpacked the package.

It was a black mattress, a white bedsheet with purple flower patterns, and a purple pillow similar to the one Nyla had in her room.

Nyla instructed them to place the mattress on the bed after which they left.

Rio was watching from the side with a dazed look.

"Why do I feel like I'm in your bedroom and it's not mine anymore?" He mumbled.

"Who says mine and yours between friends?" She shook her head.

She placed the bedsheet on the bed and put the pillow at the head of the bed.

"It's all done. If you want to have a drink, or coffee or need help you can just call me on my phone and check If I'm in school. If I don't respond, it means I'm in the land of asura." She said to him in a nonchalant voice.

"Thanks." He said with a smile.

"You're welcome. Now give me your phone." She asked him while hovering her palm in front of him.

He took out his phone and gave it to her.

She dialed a number and saved it with her name before returning it back to him.

She took out her phone which had a missed call from his number. She saved it with his name and a heart emoji beside it which she didn't let Rio see.

"All done." She handed him the phone.

"I will go now… see you tomorrow, Rio…" She walked out of the room without waiting for his reply.

"I want to ask why we need to meet again tomorrow but then she would say it's bad manners between friends." He sighed inwardly and closed the door in the hall.

*Ding!*

His phone screen flashed as a message arrived and caused him to look at it.
