Chapter 124 You Fought Well, Sister-In-Law

Rio talked to Lia using telepathy under the starry night as he guarded the campsite.

He didn't bother waking anyone up to switch places as the young couple enjoyed their conversation throughout the night.

It was only an hour left for the sunrise when in the distance some small figures moved like a watchful predator.

Rio used his [Heaven's Eyes] on the sluggishly moving figure that was a hundred meters away.

"We are surrounded." He said in a hushed voice and patted Nyla's cheeks.

Nyla was joyous that he patted her cheeks to wake her up she rubbed her eyes before standing up to watch the direction in which Rio was had his eyes glued.

Nyla woke up Sophia who then brought Lucas out of his dream.

"Did they come to prove the brilliance of my misfortune?" Lucas said sarcastically, coming out of the tent.

*Rustle!* *Rustle!*

As the purple stage beast saw their prey making movements, they decided to reveal themselves and take action.

Shadow viper foxes started coming out from different sides as they appeared from behind bushes and trees.

"We can't take them all on at once, We need to split up and take them out one by one," Nyla said and took the role of a leader. There wasn't any lively expression on her face like before.

Sophia and Lucas nodded, before summoning their purple stage Axe and Armor beast souls that glinted in the moonlight.

The pink-haired girl took the side with normal monsters while Nyla stood on the other side with shadow viper foxes that had better built than others.

Rio used his [Heaven's Eyes] on the bigger beasts that the Magenta-haired beauty was facing.

Rio estimated his standing in this battle as he inspected the shadow viper foxes.

Nyla hovered her right hand to the side to summon her Spear beast soul which was longer than her height. The purple stripes at its triangular head with thorny edges flickered in the moonlight.

She moved towards the beasts as her weapon danced in her hands, The girl revolved it from one hand to other.

The yellow flame, coming out from the tip of the Spear, danced and swirled around her body in a manner to threaten her enemies.

When it was just a meter away, she attacked with her Spear and a high lunge went toward the beast who had jumped on her.

A Spear covered in scorching flame penetrated the shadow viper fox's neck that burned the flesh making a crispy sound.

Blood gushed out instantly with the smoke caused by the flame, making the beast howled in pain before it staggered on the ground and fell to eternal slumber.

Nyla took out her Spear from the beast's neck instantly and moved to the next target.

Sophia was also in the midst of shadow viper foxes with her axe as she sliced through the throat of one fox, then spun around to face another.

The foxes squealed in pain and scattered around as the blade of the axe injured their body, but the beasts quickly regrouped, launching their body at Sophia with enraged ferocity.

She dodged them and weaved between the wolves, her axe a blur as she cleaved their neck down left and right.

Lucas was having the easiest time as most beasts were handled by the girls.

He was fighting from the safest place along with Rio.

One of the foxes lunged at Lucas, but Rio cut the beast's head from their body using his new purple stage Silver-Bloom king sword.

"You should be careful," Rio warned him.

"Thanks, Brother." The blabbering boy showed his gratitude as he continued to fight.

The crimson-haired boy meticulously watched his teammates' safety while slashing at the wolves from time to time as if taking a tour of Lia's garden.

The pack of foxes howled in anger at the fatal attacks and, their sharp teeth bared as they encircled Rio and company.

The four of them fought with fierce determination. They took down fox after fox, their weapon moving with precision and grace.

Despite the great number, most beasts were losing the battle to Nyla's domineering power.

The shadow viper foxes began to fall one by one under the relentless onslaught of her blazing spear.

Sophia and the boys also killed the beasts one after another with their unwavering resolve. Their blade became slashing strikes as they fended off the Purple Stage beasts.

Finally, with a mighty blow, the Magenta-haired girl dispatched the last of the foxes, a victorious smile flashing on her face, waiting for her boy to praise her for her great might.

"Good job." He patted her head while walking to take the beast cores from the ground of the beasts he killed.

"You fought well, Sister-in-law." Lucas gave a thumbs up, making the young maiden face beet red.

Rio's eyes twitched hearing his statement and almost tripped on the ground.

"Before I had to handle just one person now it's two." The crimson-haired boy sighed inwardly.

Blood and beasts' organs were scattered all around them. A rancid smell of blood was flowing in the air as it caused unpleasantness to stay around the campsite.

Their tents were both destroyed because of the battle with Shadow viper foxes.
