'I hope my guess is right and the monarch beast can only copy techniques it sees and doesn't have them all beforehand,'
Rio came up with a theory that he learned by observing the fight closely, his mind raced as he considered his options. He knew that using his battle art techniques could be a double-edged sword in this situation.
On one hand, they could give him an advantage, but on the other hand, if the enemy also copied them, it could put him in grave danger.
Just imagine if both parties used [Heaven Destroyer] it would be very destructive and Rio would be losing his mana faster than usual.
The boy decided to rely on his instincts and fight the enemy with the basic skills he possessed, hoping that his wit and intelligence would give him an edge. Rio tightened his grip on his silver bloom King sword, ready for the impending battle.
As they clashed, Rio's body moved with fluidity, each movement carefully calculated to exploit the loophole he had discovered in the monarch beast's powers.
The fight continued to drag on and his theory became more and more true, the monarch beast's ability to copy techniques only applied to those it had seen in action. He realized this as he had not used any battle art techniques or thunder enchantment during the fight, relying solely on his mana enchantment.
With this realization, Rio decided to only use his mana enchantment to fight the doppelganger. He refrained from using any battle art technique that the enemy could potentially copy.
He carried on to dodge and counterattack, his opponent mimicking every move with accuracy. The sweat on his forehead was glistening in the sunlight as he tried to keep up with the doppelganger's unrelenting attacks.
Despite his opponent's unending stamina, Rio knew he had an advantage that was helping him to keep up with his enemy which was [Life Sutra] But he also knew that he couldn't rely on this forever.
After thousands of clashes later, Rio's body had already taken a significant toll from the intense battle with his opponent, his muscles strained from repeated collisions in the air. He could feel his breaths coming in ragged gasps, his heart beating rapidly in his chest. Beads of sweat formed on his forehead, and his hair clung to his skin with moisture.
As Rio's movements slowed down and his breaths became heavy, the Monarch Beast's grin grew wider and more pronounced.
The doppelganger's eyes glinted with cruel pleasure at the sight of Rio's fatigue, and its movements became more fluid and confident.
Every passing minute seemed to bring a new level of satisfaction to the Monarch Beast, as it relished in the thought of finally defeating this human.
The Monarch Beast let out a mocking laughter, her feminine voice sounded beside him. "Oh, sweet Rio, once I slaughter you I will go and Live as you and No one will find out that I'm not the Real one."
The idiotic doppelganger threatened him but the boy didn't even show any hint of terror and remained calm and collected.
Rio couldn't help but think to himself, "Does she really believe that killing me will give her my identity? Lia and Nyla would see right through her disguise, thanks to the heavenly marks that connect us."
As they continued to fight, Rio's movements became sluggish, his reactions dulled by the exhaustion that was creeping over him. His arms felt heavy, and he struggled to keep his sword up. He knew that he couldn't keep this up for much longer.
Despite his opponent showing no signs of fatigue, Rio knew that he was the one at the disadvantage, his mana was going to run out if he continued at this rate.
He couldn't afford to let the battle drag on any longer, or he risked falling to his knees, defenseless against the relentless attacks of his enemy.
The weight of the situation settled heavily on his shoulders, and he knew that he had to end this fight quickly if he wanted to emerge victorious.
'I know it's risky, but I don't see any other way. I have to take the chance.'
Soon, Rio focused his mana into his silver-bloom King sword, feeling the power surging through his blade. He knew he had to end this fight quickly before he succumbed to exhaustion.
The sword glowed with an intense white light as he cast [Overload Destroyer], channeling most of his mana into the blade tip.
His doppelganger mirrored his movements, also casting the same battle art technique on their own silver-bloom King sword.
Rio gritted his teeth, knowing that this was his only chance to win the fight. He couldn't afford to hold back.
As they both finished storing their mana, they shot toward each other with incredible speed.
Just as the doppelganger was nearing him and was a dozen centimeters away from him, Rio's eyes narrowed as he cast the [Spiritual Shock] spell, causing a wave of spiritual energy to attack the monarch beast's soul.
His enemy froze for a moment in mid-air, writhing in pain. Rio could see the agony etched on his opponent's face as he tried to regain his composure.
The boy felt a rush of satisfaction as he watched his opponent struggle against the effects of his mental attack. He knew that he had only a small breath of opportunity to strike, and he had to make it count.
Without wasting any seconds, Rio drove his enhanced Silver-bloom King sword into the Doppelganger's chest, he could feel it cutting through flesh and bone with ease.
Silver blood sprayed out from the wound, as the Doppelganger let out a guttural scream of agony. Rio knew he had to act fast if he wanted to end this once and for all.
