Chapter 116: The Reinforcement Is Here!

Thankfully, after my mind was overwhelmed by many things in this maddening realm, my access to Sir Aethernet had always remained firm and true the whole time.

So amidst me trying to fight against the sea itself, I had some epic metal music in the background as a self-buff for my Sanity and overall health.

"Through the night and the rain~!!" I sang as I my flesh as rend asunder by countless swimming ghouls with pikes laced with rots and plagues. "For the fire and the fame~!!"

More than 5 hours had passed since the start of the Ordeal of the Midnight.

And there was no sign of improvement from Kuzunoha's side.

The spell of buoyancy on my feet had become thinner, to the point of me making a comically wide raft made out of the corpse of the sailors and reaped tentacles.

No matter how high the tide and intimidating sound of the crashing waves were, my trusty raft always ended up coming to the surface, and I was very proud of it.

The curse that bound me to millions of simulated worlds where N was dead—in the end, was still active. After all, I haven't managed to touch the smug Drowned Revenant ever since, so I started to familiarize myself with the whole sudden influx of pain and tormenting experience from the hypothetical me who failed their excursion with a seaman.

Coming to terms with it wasn't the hardest thing in the world either. Now that I look at it, it was similar to having a subscription to some kind of shady voodoo or horoscope website but with real pain and consequences.

As such, everytime an N came with the news of her death, my mentally-constructed butler welcomed them and immediately gave them the needed room and hospitality for them to convey their experience.

It was similar to having a mental hotel to an afterlife, but for an insurmountable amount of different versions of myself.

"Hehehe, this should do~"

Now that one of my Stormhook was lost to the sea, and the remaining one was hanging to its dear life from shattering apart, I began collecting the weapons of the sailors and crafted something on the spot with it.

[Blightpiercer Harpoon (Qliphoth 90%) - 52.5 kg]: The Blightpiercer Harpoon is a grim weapon crafted from rot-infested metal pulled from the sunken depths and tainted with the plague that clings to the forsaken remains of undead sailors.

This terrifyingly long harpoon, favored by revenant mariners, is over 4 meters in length, its shaft made from layers of corroded iron twisted together with sinewy strands of cursed tendrils. The entire structure emanates a faint, sickly glow, as if the rot itself pulsates within.

At the tip of the harpoon lies a massive, star-shaped head, its five jagged points razor-sharp and coated in plague-laced ichor. The head itself is forged from a mysterious, blackened metal that seems to writhe and shift in the light, a material not found in any known lands.

Each strike from the Blightpiercer causes not only deep physical wounds but also spreads an insidious rot through the victim's body, gradually eating away at both flesh and spirit.

Further adding to its lethality, the weapon has been designed with barbed grooves running along the shaft, making it nearly impossible to dislodge once embedded without a gory scene]

This oversized amalgamation was my greatest masterpiece yet! Not only did that mold the metal through brute strength and willpower, but it was also the most menacing thing to be witnessed in a battlefield.

If one were to be found carrying this around before two fully prepared armies collided, it would definitely cause a massive loss in morale because of how maddening it was.

The only demerit of it, the Blightpiercer Harpoon, was the fact that it was laced in nasty plague. If one was touched or got a whiff of it without any kind of immunity or miraculous healing ability, they would definitely die.

This includes the owner of the weapon itself.

"Muahaha~! Die! Die!!"

It was also a fun weapon to use because of how powerful it was thanks to its sheer size and weight alone.

But just as I thought that I would be here fighting aimlessly for another couple of hours, a familiar voice seeped into my ear.

"How are you faring over there, darling?"

The buoyancy spell was restored to its former glory, alongside the enhancement spell that was cast into my Stormhook. Though, it didn't restore the cracked bits. seaʀᴄh thё nôᴠel Fire.nёt website on Google to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

"Huehehehe~ It is fun here~"

For one, my sanity was extremely low and so was my Consciousness. I couldn't help but talk like a creepy pervert who found out that she could abuse masochism to keep herself sane.

"Looks like you went cuckoo already," Kuzunoha chuckled. "I see that there is some sort of forced connection made into your soul, and it seems to be delivering a foreign essence to you nonstop.

"I should've noticed it whenever your soul was the target of something, but it seemed like the Qliphoth Object was two steps ahead of me in terms of spellcasting." I could hear an annoyance in her tone. "I apologize that I didn't immediately deal with it."

"Eh~ it's fine. You're probably busy with your soul-mapping, anyway~" I said while spinning around with my Blightpiercer Harpoon to tramp off anyone who dared to climb to my raft, donning a blissful smile on my face. "So how is it?"

"I can finally start the subduing process. In this state, my hands are free to support you. Though, do know that I'm only capable of casting my spells on you, the person connected to me directly, and the Drowned Revenant.

"I won't be able to help you with any kind of environmental hazard or third party threat. On top of that, we won't always get a chance to communicate like this."

"Okey dokey~"

In just an instance, my connection to the million simulated deaths was severed.

The Drowned Revenant should be moving like usual now that it didn't need to maintain that curse.

In fact, it was already within my sight right now, lunging forward onto my direction with its anchor hurled already. Likewise, I had already positioned my beautifully crafted harpoon to intercept that gargantuan target mid-air.

"Alright, I wish you the best of lucks, darling~"
