Shiroken returned to Konoha in just a few seconds. He could easily fly over as most people knew he could by now. Still, he refrained from showing his too powerful abilities.
It was shocking, as it had only been one day since Shiroken had gone away and the destroyed part of the village was already looking full, with buildings appearing everywhere, and in all honesty, this new part looked much better than the remaining part. As this new part had all the new buildings with the best and the latest designs.
In fact, as per Shiroken's plan, he had bought a few plots of the land and made public parks there, even the village had contacted the company to buy some buildings, mainly the public use ones, such as the police station, public bathrooms and small arenas.
Still, the road was being made by normal contractors of the village and that was a slow task. They didn't have advanced and dedicated teams for road building like the Dama Country. There, the road company hired a few earth and wind release experts. One was meant to help make the road and the other one was supposed to make the newly paved asphalt dry up.
Nobody yet knew about Shiroken's new authority as the Supreme Daimyo, it didn't matter anyway. Because Konoha by contract could not meddle in anything that went on outside the village.
So Shiroken decided to head to Ichiraku Ramen and get some decent dumplings to eat. He especially loved the paper-thin skinned dumplings that Teuchi just started to make these days.
Sitting at the shop, he was greeted by a man with black hair. He had a kind smiled and seemed friendly. He recognised him immediately as a disguised Minato.
"May I join you for lunch, Lord Dama?" He asked.
Shiroken nodded and continued eating. He knew Minato had something to say, "I am Otanim from now on. I was wondering what your next plans are?"
Shiroken's eyes frowned, Otanim was just the reverse of Minato. "What plan? I have not decided anything to do with that blonde boy yet. He should just spend some time with his son and show him what a good family is all about. He deserves some love."
Minato felt reassured and free for the first time. He knew he was living on borrowed time but the time limit was decided by Shiroken. "Thank you, Lord Dama."
"Eat, eat... don't speak too much while eating." Shiroken nudged him.
But now when Minato calmed down Teuchi spoke up, "Lord Dama, how do I order items with your caravan network?"
Shiroken was happy to help him, "You just make a list of items you need and hand them to the manager of the caravan. He will try his best to send the items directly to you in the next shipment. *Sigh* I really wish there was some kind of a jutsu that can send items from one place to another."
"There is one actually." Minato/Otanim spoke.
Shiroken's eyes had stars, "What do you mean? What's it called?"
Minato answered him. "It's called the Heavenly Transfer Technique. With this technique, you are able to transport objects anywhere at the speed of light. When being transferred, the object is engulfed in light and moves to any desired destination through a narrow beam, reminiscent of a bolt of lightning.
"Although it's restricted to inanimate objects, the technique can be used on living organisms as well, including humans. However, as the body is unable to handle the speed involved in the transfer, they would normally be ripped to shreds as a result. But sadly, this technique is in the hands of Kumo."
Of course, Minato would know about any jutsu that could be faster than him. Speed was his speciality after all.
~This... if this jutsu is used correctly, it has the power to bring the whole world together. Trade can be truly global with it.~ Shiroken realised.
"I guess I must make a trip to Kumogakure then." Shiroken planned.
"But they will surely not give the jutsu to you, not without a fight. If I were them, I'd also keep it a secret." Minato muttered. It was understandable too. Would Konoha have let Shiroken check all their jutsu if he had not scared them? No, he'd never.
"Oh, don't worry about that. I will ask very nicely at first, and if he still didn't give it then maybe a little force."
*WOOSH*
An Anbu all of a sudden appeared, "Lord Dama, Lord Hokage respectfully asks you to visit the office. A very important meeting is to take place regarding the appointment of the new Hokage."
Shiroken ate the last of his dumplings and nodded, "Let's go then."
...
In the Hokage's office building. The large meeting hall was filled with all the senior jonin and clan heads of the village. Hiruzen was sitting in a wheelchair right now as repeatedly having to call someone to lift him was too embarrassing.
He didn't sit in his official place, however. Instead, he sat on the right side of it. "Everyone, as you already know, I had stepped down from Hokage position. Now, after great thinking and planning, we decided on the next Hokage.
The Daimyo has already given his nod and the elder council has also agreed. Starting today, I shall take the position of Konoha's elder officially. Homura and Koharu have retired, so the remaining elders will be Danzo, Jiraiya and one more person whom I will introduce soon. But first, you should see the Hokage, Lady Tsunade."
There was an uproar among many Jonin and clan heads. One of the legendary three Sannins, the medical genius has finally returned?
Tsunade walked in proudly in her usual attire and took the Hokage's seat in the middle. On her right sat Hiruzen and Jiraiya and on her left sat Danzo.
"BUT... SHE'S A SENJU!" They raised their voices. This was understandable, as the anti-Hashirama propaganda had worked like a charm.
Tsunade slammed on the table, "Yes, I am quarter Senju, but also Uzumaki. Then there are my mother and father. I have as much Senju blood in me as many of you do. Do not forget that the founding clans of the village had many intermarriages. By your logic, everyone is a Senju."
In reality, Tsunade was shocked by what happened in the village. Never in her life had she thought her grandfather would be so hated by the village he created. And after she learned everything, she couldn't sit still. Jiraiya had already convinced her to become the Hokage. And even she could not ignore her village at this point, no matter how much she loved gambling.
Hiruzen nodded and added, "What matters is not her clan, since she does not even use her last name. What matters is that we are the true people of Konoha who want peace and prosperity. Lady Tsunade may have had a tragic past that affected her, but she is still a highly capable and strong kunoichi. And with our guidance, I believe she will lead our village to better days."
The crowd talked among themselves and couldn't come up with any rebuttal. Most of them at least knew about their family history that involved a Senju. Truly, all of them are interrelated in a way. Well, except for the very strict clans.
Tsunade noticed the empty chair beside Danzo and asked, "Who didn't come?"
Hiruzen spoke, "It's the new elder of Konoha. He saved the village from the great catastrophe and also helped the people greatly. He is the reason behind the quick rebuilding of the destroyed part of the village, even better than before. Although Lord Dama is not a resident of Konoha, his great skills in business and his powers will safeguard the interests of our village.
"So I welcomed Lord Shiroken Dama to become an elder of Konoha."
*BAM*
Shiroken opened the door and entered the hall. He walked without a care in the world of how they looked at him. All that mattered was that he was here. His gaze first fell on the many people in the hall.
"Hello, everyone. I guess your next Hokage..."
His words stopped as his eyes fell on Tsunade sitting on the platform. As she was in the centre, it was obvious what her position meant. He didn't like it.
Tsunade also had a similar reaction. She had not been able to understand why Shiroken left her and Shizune behind like that before. Hiruzen had not told her about him, or even mentioned his name.
Shiroken smiled, ~Haha... I thought fate is not real. Here we are, meeting again. But it's probably bad luck now.~ He thought.
"So, a Senju will become the Hokage?" He spoke.
Tsunade and Hiruzen gave him the same speech as before. Shrugging, Shiroken went straight to the seat. It was on the left of Danzo.
Shiroken just gave a piercing gaze to Danzo and threatened him without many words, "I thought I would be sitting here."
Danzo didn't move, "I am a senior respected elder, you are new."
Shiroken laughed, "HAHAHA... boy, I am too old for this crap. You? Elder? Respected? Tsk... where were you when the village was being besieged? Why didn't you come to fight? Maybe then Hiruzen wouldn't have lost his limbs. You are nothing but a coward who hides in his hole when scared, now move."
Blatant disregard of Danzo was not a very good sight to see, but nobody raised their voice, because what Shiroken said was absolutely right. Nobody there saw Danzo anywhere at the time of need.
Danzo frightened a little, silently changed his seat. Shiroken then swiftly took a seat, "Hello there, Tsunade SENJU, the new "Hokage"."
Tsunade was just staring at his face, she could not understand why he would be an elder, since he was like a king already, "W-WHY ARE YOU...?"
