Chapter 42: The Land Of Loot - 5
Strength suffused Daiki, almost the same way it had when he drank the Hero Water.
"This...this isn't bad at all." Daiki grinned clenched and unclenching his hands, watching the chakra bubble around him.
And it was just so easy to control. it moved according to his thoughts, as if it were another limb he'd just gained, he looked over his shoulder and his grin widened as he wiggled the thick energy tail he'd gained back and forth.
He didn't feel quite as strong as he did when he had taken the Hero Water, but he was a hell a lot stronger right now than he was in his normal base form.
As soon as he thought that, he felt even more chakra exude from the seal on his chest, and he felt as his power spiked massively.
Two more thick shrimp-like tails bubbled into existence, forming on his back, "Holy shit..!" Daiki gaped at himself, feeling how strong he'd become from this!
Insane, how insane!
His strength now felt like it put his power with the Hero Water to shame, "Yeah...with this, I'm sure I can deal with Raiga!" Daiki laughed. He punched out his arm, trying something out, and watched with glee as the chakra around his arm extended outwards into a gargantuan red chakra claw that stretched for hundreds of feet in the blink of an eye, the claw so large it could grasp a bus within its palm and crush it in a blink.
If this was how powerful he felt with just the basic chakra cloak, he wondered exactly how powerful he'd be assuming the Version 2 Chakra Cloak, or even, how strong he'd be going full Bijuu Mode and assuming Isobu's form.
'I really wanna fire off a Bijuudama!' he thought excitedly.
As soon as he did, the chakra flow was cut off and he felt himself weaken drastically to his weak base self.
He instantly missed the feeling of unstoppable strength he felt before.
'Calm down, don't go getting a power high from just that much,' Isobu huffed, 'Besides, if you fire off a Bijuudama you'll alert anyone within a thousand miles of what's happening and your plans will be ruined, remember?' the giant turtle helpfully reminded him.
...Oh yeah, he didn't want anybody knowing about his new status as a Jinchuuriki, it was supposed to be a secret after all.
'I have to finish this mission already and get back to the grind.' Daiki bit his lip. He wanted to feel that power, without doping on something like the Hero Water or borrowing someone else's power.
..Besides, if Isobu's full power alone was enough to handle all of his problems, they wouldn't be in the situation they currently were. He had to remind himself, Isobu was his ally, not a crutch.

[Chakra Affinities:]
[Lightning - (Adept): You have stepped onto the path of roaring thunder.]
[Water - (Novice): You have no training with this element.]
[Fuinjutsu - (Journeyman): The world breathes.]
His stat caps, at least for his physical abilities, had all turned into question marks?
How the hell did that make sense?
'So this is the game system you can see, interesting, I cannot see it through your eyes, but only through your memories as they register, how peculiar,' Isobu spoke, interest in his voice, 'It seems you have inherited my water affinity as my Jinchuuriki as expected. As for the new changes, perhaps this system of yours cannot determine a physical limit for you?'
That made sense he supposed, but, anything he'd seen like this before, was usually from some incredibly powerful entity, how could it not measure his limit?
'Maybe this system isn't as special as you think it is?' Isobu supplied, 'From my point of view, it hasn't really given you anything beyond a screen to see your progress as you trained. Beyond motivation and fusing your souls together, it seems to provide no other benefits.'
....Once again, he wasn't wrong.
Then just what the hell was this thing in the end?
'Perhaps some form of bloodline mutation?' Isobu mused, 'Bloodlines interacting with the subconscious aren't unheard of, nor ones interacting with Space-Time and dimensions either, I've seen all manner of bloodlines over my lifetime, this would hardly be a ground breaking one.'
Huh....When he put it like that...
