"And so, it begins."

Standing before the entrance to the academy, Daiki had his arms crossed as he leaned against a familiar tree, right next to a very, very important swing set.

Many had already entered, dozens of teams from all different villages, some people he recognised, others he did not.

He wasn't alone either, many teams were chilling outside the building, the anxiousness from them palpable.

Disappointingly, the vast majority of the ones hesitating to enter were from the Leaf Village.

Many had their eyes on him, eyeing him curiously, both because of his relaxed state and because he was alone no doubt.

They probably thought he didn't notice their attention either, since he had his eyes closed, coolly. Too bad for them, his eyes could see through his eyelids should he so desire.

Well that, and because he just randomly spoke a second ago. Some of them seemed freaked out by his statement.

'....What are you doing?' Isobu questioned, sounding lost, 'What do you mean 'and so it begins'?'

'I'm setting the mood.' Daiki replied, rolling his closed eyes.

'You know, you're incredibly pretentious sometimes.' Isobu sighed, 'I know you think you're being cool and mysterious, but you're really not.'

'To you maybe,' Daiki gave an internal shrug, not an external just to be exact, 'See I've been thinking, but there's nothing saying this new variation of this world isn't being broadcasted in another world right now, and while it will probably still follow Naruto, other characters will get some spotlight, and I've already set my character path.'

Specifically, after Naruto's arc in Wave alongside Sasuke, where they really became true shinobi for the first time and saw how big the world really was, Daiki himself came barging in, crushed Sasuke, the main characters big rival, and was all epic, handsome, powerful, handsome, mysterious and handsome.

He basically cemented himself as that badass guy that the main character and his rival strove to surpass. The type of guy that got his own side series or show that ran parallel to the main one, and was generally liked even more.

'....You're an idiot, you've put far too much thought into this and you said handsome three times.' Isobu deadpanned.

'But you haven't said I'm wrong.' Daiki smugly pointed out, and he was just that handsome.

'It is highly unlikely, but not impossible as your own situation proves,' Isobu replied, heaving a sigh, 'You have been much more full of yourself the last few days, ever since you rutted with that Jonin.' the bijuu pointed out.

Daiki's only response, was a smirk.

He had not at all expected to lose his virginity a few days ago, and he definitely hadn't imagined Kurenai Yuhi would be the first woman he ever had sex with.

Well, he said sex, but honestly they just fucked like animals, no lovemaking involved. To be fair, she came around acting all haughty and arrogant, thinking she had the right to test him when as far as he knew nobody else was getting tested, and in the grand scheme of things, she was utter fodder, her only redeeming trait being her body really.

Honestly, he remembered her being quite bitchy in the original timeline as well, looking down on Naruto and the like. And he'd never really been a big fan of her.

God just looking at his status screen made him want to punch his fist into the air and crow loudly about his sheer badassery. His lightning affinity had advanced when he made his little discovery with Kurenai, and his Water affinity had caught up quickly thanks to the knowledge Isobu passed on to him from Yagura and all his water jutsu.

He'd managed to finally get the last and most difficult of them all done just the other day thanks to his clones. His chakra capacity was getting more and more monstrous by the day, and that wasn't even getting into his physical stats or his taijutsu and ninjutsu.

Not to mention, his fuinjutsu had risen up a stage as well now that he had learned everything there was to know about the seals used in the creation of the Infinite Armour and the Chakra Armour and he had so, so many ideas dancing in his head.

Sure, with the time using shadow clones included, he'd probably actually been training for what amounted to two or so years, possible more in total, but hey;

'Am I a badass or what?' Daiki mentally preened as dismissed his status screen. He wasn't even going to acknowledge the stupid add on descriptions to his fuinjutsu and elemental affinities, he wouldn't give whatever it was, his subconscious or otherwise the satisfaction.

'...You're going to end up missing the exams if you don't hurry up and get a move on Mr. Badass.' Isobu prompted dryly.

'Oh right.' Daiki blinked, forgoing his mental masturbation and pushing himself up off the tree, it was already around half three in the afternoon now and the exam started at four.

With a confident swagger in his steps, Daiki made his way into the academy and towards the top floor where room 301 was located.
