When the leader saw that the soldier had not returned, he asked Yao Ran, "Excuse me, Miss. Where is the young soldier who went with you?"

Yao Ran explained the situation to the leader and then said, "He said he would help us guard the house so that we can come here to get supplies."

The leader nodded and said to the other soldier, "Open the box, register the name, and then distribute the supplies. One pack of supplies for each household registration."

"Yes, sir."

While the soldier was busy opening the boxes, Yao Ran said, "Long Yu, you should go back and get your household registration book."

Before Long Yu could speak, the leader took a pack of supplies from the box and said, "No need. He had registered his name."

After speaking, he handed the pack of supplies to Long Yu. Seeing this, Yao Ran looked at the two of them thoughtfully but said nothing.

Soon, people who were living on the lower floor also came one after another. Yao Ran and her friends lined up, registered their names, and then received a pack of supplies.

After everyone got their share, Long Yu said goodbye to the leader and left with his friends.

Just as they reached the door, they heard a woman living in apartment number 1803 say, "Comrade, there are eight people in my family. How can you just give me one pack of supplies? This is not enough at all."

The soldier shook his head and explained patiently, "Each household registration can only receive one pack of supplies. If you get your share, please leave. Don't hinder others."

The woman was unconvinced and pointed at Yao Ran, "She lives alone, but you gave her one pack of supplies. This is unfair! If you give her one pack, you should give me eight packs because there are eight people in my family!"

When other residents heard her words, they also started complaining.

After bidding farewell, the soldier made his way to the rooftop. Not long after, Yao Ran heard the sound of helicopter propellers. She returned to the living room and began training her body and abilities.

While she was busy training, Long Yu was in the middle of a meeting with his friends. In the living room of unit 2001, four people were sitting around a low table.

Shi Xuan looked at Long Yu and asked, "Captain, you came here without telling Yao Ran. Do you have anything important to tell us?"

Long Yu nodded. He took out a piece of paper and put it on the table.

Looking at his curious friends, he explained, "The soldiers who delivered supplies just now gave me a letter from Commander Xu. You should read it first before we talk."

Shi Xuan read the letter and frowned, "Commander Xu actually wants you to return to the army?"

Long Yu looked at Huang Qian, Jia Xiang, and Shi Xuan and said, "Since I have retired from the army, I will not go back. However, if you want to go back, I will not stop you. If you decide to return to the army, I can contact Commander Xu for you."

Huang Qian heard this, exchanged looks with Shi Xuan and Jia Xiang, and then said, "Captain, I will not return to the army. I will follow you."

Shi Xuan and Jia Xiang nodded in agreement.
