Chapter 207: Delivery
As Long Yu poured the lake water into the drums, Yao Ran used her water ability to create water, adding it to the plastic drum. Once a drum was full, she closed the lid tightly and moved on to the next.
Soon, all five drums were filled with diluted lake water. Yao Ran transported them back to the warehouse with her mind and brought out five more empty drums.
When her water energy was depleted, she drank lake water to replenish it and continued working. With Long Yu's help, the two of them filled two hundred drums with diluted lake water.
Seeing her forehead damp with sweat, Long Yu closed the last drum and said, "Let's stop for now. You need to rest."
Yao Ran felt a slight headache and nodded. After moving the remaining drums to the warehouse, she took a bath before leaving the space with Long Yu.
The next morning, Yao Ran woke up early and went to find Long Yu. Just as she left her apartment, Long Yu opened his door.
Seeing her, he smiled and said, "Good morning, Ran Ran."
Yao Ran approached him and said, "Good morning. Do you have any plans for today?" Long Yu shook his head, "I don't have any plans. Do you need me for something?"
Yao Ran nodded, "I want to visit Wu Lian and see if he managed to get any antiques."
Knowing that she was eager to upgrade her space, Long Yu looked at her and asked, "Have you had breakfast?"
Yao Ran paused for a second and replied, "Not yet."Nôv(el)B\\jnn
Long Yu pulled her into his house and said, "Let's eat first before we visit Wu Lian."
"Oh." Yao Ran said as she obediently followed him.
Sitting on the carpeted floor in Long Yu's bedroom, Yao Ran watched him prepare breakfast. Given the limited resources, Long Yu could only heat some scallion pancakes and prepare a bowl of vegetable soup for each of them.
"Captain Long, do you two bring good news?" He asked as he approached them.
Long Yu and Yao Ran turned to see Wu Lian. Long Yu nodded and said, "Yes. Have you prepared the payment?"
"I have managed to secure some items. How much are you able to provide?" Wu Lian asked. Yao Ran replied, "One thousand liters."
Wu Lian looked surprised, then frowned slightly and muttered, "One thousand liters..." Looking at Yao Ran, he asked, "How many antiques do you want in exchange?"
Seeing his troubled expression, Yao Ran smiled. "It depends on the antiques. Some have high value, while others don't hold much."
Relieved by her words, Wu Lian secretly breathed a sigh of relief. He didn't know much about antiques, so when he reported to Xu Qipeng, he didn't specify what he wanted, and he only asked for permission to exchange antiques for supplies.
He looked at Yao Ran and said, "We have some antiques prepared. Would you like to take a look?"
Yao Ran nodded. "Yes, please."
Wu Lian smiled and said, "Please follow me."
When they arrived at the military warehouse, the amount of supplies there surprised Yao Ran and Long Yu.
Although they knew resources were scarce, they hadn't expected the military to have so little. Yao Ran didn't know the number of soldiers in Juncheng City, but she knew this amount of supplies wouldn't last long.
Noticing their silence, Wu Lian said, "The antiques are stored in the back room. This way, please."
He led them to a small room at the back of the warehouse. Taking out a key, he unlocked the door and turned on the solar lamp.
After the bright light from the solar lamp illuminated the surroundings, they entered the room. Following Wu Lian, Yao Ran's eyes lit up when she saw the antiques. She walked over to the antiques and began examining them one by one.
Twenty minutes later, Yao Ran put down a vase, turned to Wu Lian, and asked, "Captain Wu, are you interested in exchanging these antiques for food or meat?"
Wu Lian asked, "Does the young lady have a way to obtain food?"
