Somewhere in the Frontier of the Ferus Sea, a lone country of beastfolks was dealing a troublesome problem they had never seen before. Their place of worship had been conquered by a powerful beast from legends brought about by their ancestor.
Though, much stronger and bigger than the monster that dwelled in their myths.
In the throne room of the beastfolk kingdom, a general kneeled with his sword sheathed beside him. Before the beastfolk general was the monarch of the kingdom, Anaconda. He was a silver snake beastfolk, akin to an anaconda breed.
His name was Eunectes, a long lived cold-blooded king of Anaconda. Laying on his throne riddled with the most grandeur of wooden garnish and rare metals, Eunectes coldly glared at the general in front of him.
"My general, the problem that has tarnished our place of worship hasn't been solved. May I hear your explanation?" Despite his voice brimming with calmness, there was an underlying dread. The general flicked his tongue and responded to the monarch.
"The dragon is too much for us to handle, my liege. If we dare to provoke it much longer, the kingdom may lay in ruins. Hundreds of my best warriors have fallen in a single moment against the dragon who's akin to a moving mountain range."
"I beg for the liege to stand down and lay low against this ferocious foe." The general lowered his head even further, wanting the monarch to halt their assault against the dragon. He understood of its powers which could sink islands. .net
He didn't want to see the same of the kingdom he served.
"Are you deciding for me, my general?" Eunectes questioned the serpent general in front of him. The general quickly shook his head and replied. "I am not, my liege. I am simply giving us a way for the kingdom to survive."
"If we ever provoke the dragon, our kingdom would sink into the bottom of the sea. I have seen the god-like being sink islands before my eyes. There was nothing we could do but watch when it sunk one of ours." The general continued, wanting to clarify himself.
"I see... You're a worrisome serpent, aren't you, my general?" Eunectes's slitted eyes narrowed as he continued. "But I don't want the one commanding my armies to be a coward. I want them to follow my commands without hesitation or delay."
"As such, you have fallen from your position, my general. Consider yourself as fortunate, death would have been your fate against the disrespect you have portrayed in my court. Undermining my authority before the figures of my kingdom is akin to treason."
"But as a merciful ruler, I shall forgive you, because I can." His words echoed throughout the throne room as serpentine soldiers quickly marched forward, dragging the general who was crestfallen. "You have no idea what you're doing. You mustn't disturb its nest no matter what!"
The general tried to persuade the monarch, but simply couldn't. He was dragged into the dungeon, where he would spend his time thinking about the actions of what he had done. Meanwhile, someone else would replace his rank as the sword of Anaconda.
"Will you follow my commands, my esteem general?" Eunectes calmly asked the new general who's much burlier than the former one. The new general deeply bowed to the monarch and responded with respect and courtesy. "Your wish is our command, my king."
"Good..." A smile formed on the king's face as someone who was willing to follow him had finally emerged amongst his ranks. "Take our greatest army and burn the nest of that dragon. We must confront it for tarnishing our place of worship!"
"It will be done, my king!" The new general saluted and walked away from the throne room, intending to accomplish the task that the monarch had given him. Eunectes merely grinned, imaging the word of their victory against the monster.
Radiant flashes that blinded through the windows roared ahead of them. The pilots continued to control the aircraft in a steady altitude, assuring that it doesn't fall out of the sky out of nowhere. Though, the intense storm wasn't helping them.
"Only a few dozen kilometers from our target. It should be in sight within a minute." One of the aviation officers reported, earning the nod of the leading aviation officer. "Keep up and don't let the storm take this bird down."
"Our target shouldn't be too far. We must keep flying!" His words echoed in the cabin of the C-130, assuring the aviation personnel under him. Trusting his words, they continued in their duties and fought against fear with their sheer loyalty towards the Authority.
*BANG!* *BANG!* *BANG!*
Bolts of lightning slithered across the blackened heavens covered by the storm. These bolts were of all-kinds of color, ranging from blue, yellow, red, and to even black. It was the strangest storm they had ever gone through. It might not be strange for them to return in the past with how things were going.
"Ten kilometers left, Sir! It should be visible below us!" The aviation officer operating the radar reported to the leading aviation officer. They quickly turned their attention at the reconnaissance officer, who was already utilizing the recon cameras equipped in Columbus.
As the camera focused on what was down below, what they saw next shocked them to their very core. The hair of their skin stood in dread while chills echoed in their body. Below them, the Anaconda Kingdom, a country of serpentine beastfolk was nowhere to be found.
In its place was an island burning in the fiery flames of inferno. Destruction consumed the entirety of the island as the sea surrounding it slowly devoured its shores. The island was sinking, and the cause of the devastation lay at its center, encircling a collapsed castle.
"T-That's..." One of the aviation officers muttered in horror, unable to understand the ruin below them. Most importantly, the one that brought destruction was none other than their savior, the Dragon of Liberation.
Her serpentine body encompassed the entirety of the capital city of Anaconda, its very movement bringing about more havoc to the already ruined city.
"Lieutenant Colonel Laplace..." The leading aviation officer continued, but immediately noticed the gargantuan dragoness staring at them with its crimson-velvet eyes filled with overwhelming dominion.
"Sh*t! We don't have time. Activate Hermes!" He quickly realized what was about to come and ordered the activation of Hermes, their only path of survival.
The pilots quickly followed his orders, already prepared for the activation of the magi-technology. With the push of a button, Columbus 0-1 avoided death through spatial transport.
They practically teleported away from the kingdom of Anaconda.
In their spot, however, was a brilliant light that encapsulated the darkened heavens consumed by the vast storm.
*BOOM!!!*
The Columbus was but a moment away from death.
