Chapter 244 | 244 | Minos Rebellion

Somewhere nearby the island of Servusarator, a lone warship plowed through the rough waves, propelling forward amidst the vast storm. It was a destroyer of the United Navy, commandeered by Captain Lux. It was none other than the famous UNS Light Bringer.

Within the interiors of the destroyer, alarms bellowed as the United Military had announced the rebellion of the State of Minos throughout all of the militarized networks. It was the second rebellion, and it was carried out by the maddened War Minister, Escudo.

"To think that the State of Minos would rebel against the United World Government." Inside the bridge of the UNS Light Bringer, machinery flickered with a tinge of brilliance as the captain furrowed his eyebrows from the unexpected news of the uprising.

A group of intelligence officers soon entered the bridge, earning the attention of the captain. He glanced at them and calmly uttered to the newly-arrived group. "Give me the status report of the island. I'd like to hear about the situation."

The intelligence officers saluted to Captain Lux, quickly responding to the words of the commanding officer. "The United Military has ordered all reserved units to begin the deployment towards the State of Minos. The Citadel has already given a directive."n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

"The Minos Uprising must be quelled as fast as possible."

Hearing the words of the intelligence officer, Lux's eyebrows rose as he realized that the United Military would be willing to raze the whole island if needed to do so. Though, it wasn't like he was any different. He would carry out any orders without hesitation.

"How about our forces inside the island? Can you hear from them?" Captain Lux asked, wondering about the situation of their military forces within the island of Servusarator. The military force should be fighting against the rebels, which means that they might need to reinforce them.

The intelligence officers furrowed their eyebrows, signifying that a problem had occurred regarding their forces within the island of Servusarator. One of them stepped forward and reported the prominent conjecture they had towards the troublesome situation.

"Sir, we haven't had gotten any contact from our forces within the island. There appears to be no jamming of radar frequency, so we can only assume one thing." Since nothing was stopping them from hearing their forces inside Servusarator, the radio silence was pretty obvious.

"All of them had died. Or, they couldn't procure proper radio equipment, which means that they had already lost." Captain Lux uttered with a scrutinizing gaze and realized how far down the situation had become. There was no need to hesitate. They were already fighting in a war.

The State of Minos had betrayed the United World Government, failing to act on their own part of the decree they had made together when they joined the country as its second state. It was disappointing, to say least. But there wasn't much he could do about it.

'The Special Response Division has also fallen as an organization, officially disbanded by the World Government yesterday.' He had remembered fighting alongside those people who were personally trained by the dragoness. They were skilled and loyal beastfolks. So, many didn't expect their betrayal.

'It hasn't been long since the creation of the United World Government, and the troubles that shroud it have been problematic ones.' He sighed to himself, thinking about how unfortunate the country had become since its creation. It may be because the Authority himself hadn't been ruling over the country since its formation.

"Have you confirmed our targets?" He asked the intelligence officer nearby, who quickly nodded. "Targets confirmed, Sir. Ten frigates, six cruisers, and three battleships. Shall we eliminate them, Captain?" The intelligence officer queried.

"I didn't expect that the United Navy would give so much military equipment to them. I guess, many of them were sold to the Minos Military." Captain Lux muttered, unable to understand why the State of Minos was littered with military technologies of all kinds.

Even the State of Pelagus weren't given such a great deal of importance to the United World Government, their navy weren't much and could only handle fighting against the pirates intruding their area. Stay tuned to empire

"It is unfortunate to have such warships destroyed by the light of freedom. But I guess this is the price of rebellion. The State of Minos must pay for what they had done." The commanding officer shook his head, unable to contain his disappointment, now that he had seen Minos from his very eyes.

"All hands, man your battle stations." Captain Lux declared, his voice echoing throughout the bridge of the destroyer. "Send orders to the CIC, prepare to fire at targets, K010 to K170." He continued, hammering the execution of the southern navy of Minos.

The alarms continued to ring as the capsule heads in front of the destroyer turned open. The commanding officer watched as the warship trembled and a tomahawk missile soared onward, leaving behind a trail of white smoke in its place.

There wasn't only one tomahawk missile, many more followed from behind, ensuring that the entire southern navy was dealt with in mere moments. This would ensure their control over the south.

The commanding officer silently gazed upon the tomahawks piercing through the heavens at unrivalled speeds. The intelligence officer continued observing their targets, relaying their video data to nearby monitor screens.

Over a dozen of warships were dwelled in the southern port of Austerminos. Near the docks were military personnel loading the essentials and fuel into the warship. They were celebrated by the local government as heroes of the Minokin. And it wouldn't be long before they become martyrs.

The first tomahawk landed upon a battleship, exploding near its ammunition rack. The succeeding explosions brought about greater radiance than ever before, even temporarily blinding the cameras of the reconnaissance drone.

There was no sound. They could only see the flames of destruction as its shockwave propelled everything near it outward. Whether it'd be dead or alive. From that one single attack, hundreds died. And many more were coming.

Several warships in the southern port gleamed with radiance, followed by a bellowing smoke rising into the air. The docks was filled to the brim with destruction and chaos as bodies lay everywhere. Smoke and dust covered the docks of Austerminos, bringing upon a sight of the reality of what was to come.

An intelligence officer then reported.

"Targets eliminated, Sir."
