Helvi walked leisurely through the warehouse, seemingly undisturbed by the fact that Dario had a hostage.
When she reached the center, the mercenaries surrounded her. She looked around with only her eyes, without moving her head.
“…Hm. It seems Luna is safe.”
Helvi saw Luna laying on the ground in front of Dario, and expressed her relief with a laugh.
Her composure only made him angrier.
“Hey, you’re late. What were you doing?”
“…Did I just hear a pig? What a vexing sound.”
“Ah!? What did you…!?”
Dario attempted to raise his voice in anger, but was cut off by Helvi’s glare.
Those eyes, and that face.
The most beautiful face he had ever seen terrified him as it glared at him.
A mere woman’s glare scared him. As Dario realized this, his anger increased even further.
He grabbed Luna by the back of her neck and lifted her off the ground. He then took out a knife from his pocket and placed it near her neck.
“You better apologize! I, the great noble Dario, told you you will be my woman! You not only refused, but went as far as to point a knife at me! A thousand deaths won’t be enough!!”
“…Ahh, you really are unpleasant.”
Dario was once again frightened by her glare, but shook it off by yelling.
“Kneel! Beg for mercy!! Take off all your clothes, kneel, and lick my feet!!”
Helvi’s eyes became increasingly colder, and filled with urge to kill.
Although Dario thought he was in an advantageous position and was barking orders, he could not stop sweating.
The mercenaries around Helvi failed to realize this, and had vulgar expressions as they waited with anticipation to see Helvi apologize naked.
Suffice to say, Helvi did not follow these orders. She simply continued to glare at Dario.
This alone was putting a strain on Dario’s mind, as if he were being continuously attacked.
“Kuh… All of you! Beat her! Beat her so badly, she will never think of defying me ever again!”
Dario finally issued his next orders, and the mercenaries who were tired of waiting made their move.
“Hehehe, finally.”
“He said to hurt you, so I guess it doesn’t matter what I touch.”
“Hyahyahya! Yep! He told her to take her clothes off, so we should destroy them!”
There were over twenty mercenaries. More than enough to deal with a single woman.
No one would ever expect them to lose.
However…
“I will warn you for the first and last time.”
“Ah?”
“If you run now, I will let you go, but if you choose to stay here, I will kill you along with that pig.”
“…Ahh?”
The mercenaries were dumbfounded by her words at first, but the warehouse was quickly filled with vulgar laughter.
“Gyahaha! What’s this woman talking about!?”
“How’s she going to beat so many people!?”
No one took Helvi seriously.
How could over twenty mercenaries who were proud of their strength be killed by a single, weak looking woman?
“I see. Then die…”
The moment Helvi uttered these words, something changed in the mercenaries’ bodies.
They felt pressure coming from over their heads, as if a dragon had fallen on them.
By the time they felt this pressure, it was already too late.
In less than a second, their bodies were squashed, as if sinking into the ground.
All Helvi did was control gravity, and make it stronger only in their bodies.
The mercenaries could not speak anymore, as they were turned into piles of meat and some bones that were thrust out.
“…Ah?”
Dario opened his eyes as wide as he could, in disbelief of what was happening, but no matter how much he opened or rubbed them, what he saw remained the same.
Over twenty mercenaries no longer had human shape.
“W-what just…”
Only three people remained, Dario, Luna, and Helvi.
Helvi started walking towards Dario, who finally came to his senses and pressed the knife against Luna’s neck.
“D-don’t get any closer or the kid gets it…!”
“What kid?”
He suddenly felt his left hand was empty.
In the time it took for Dario to blink, Luna disappeared from his hand and into Helvi’s arms.
“H-how…!?”
“Now I can kill you without any disturbances.”
“Ah, kuoh… You two! Ah…?”
Dario’s last hope were Keira and Cress, who were standing behind him.
However, when Dario looked back, they were nowhere to be found.
They did not turn into a pile of meat like the others, they were simply not there.
“Ah, the two women that were standing behind you took off running the moment they laid eyes on me.”
“Wha…!? They…!!”
They were simply hired by him. As far as they were concerned, they had no reason to fight a losing battle for Dario.
“Forget about everyone else. How long are you going to sit there? Prostrate yourself before me.”
“Kah…!?”
Much like what happened to the mercenaries, the gravity made Dario fall prostrate.
The chair was destroyed, with pieces of wood piercing Dario’s body.
The gravity made his limbs bend in strange directions as he laid on the ground.
“Gah! It hu…!?”
He had never suffered so much pain, but it was still going to get worse.
“I will give you a taste of hell.”
