539 Demon king?
As Ajax was in a tough situation with the demon general in the middle-section of the cursed wilderness, the five powerful old cultivators were sitting in the guild master's room and waiting for the guild master to arrive.
"Esmund, I still wonder, how did you survive till now with the anxiousness of yours,"
Amidst their discussions, one of the old men asked the first old man with a puzzled expression on his face.
The rest of the powerful cultivators nodded their heads as though they were also wondering how the first old man had survived with such an anxiousness.
"That's a secret and I don't want to share it,"
Unexpected to their thoughts, Esmund revealed a small smile on his face as he replied to others.
After hearing that, they didn't ask any more questions because they knew that despite the fact that the old man was smiling, he was actually very serious.
All of a sudden, the guild master's room became silent.
"Huh? Why are you so silent even after meeting each other for a few years now,"
Amidst their silence, the door to the guild master's room was opened and a familiar voice could be heard by them.
"Finally, you came now, Rae. If you didn't show in a few minutes, I would?have just left from here,"
The only old lady in the room stood up and scolded the owner of the voice.This chapter made its debut appearance via N0v3lB1n.
"You have become lazy and came late for the meeting conducting by you,"
Esmund, the anxious one among all the powerful cultivators, joined the old lady and scolded the one named Rae.
"How can the mercenary guild master be not punctual?"
"Where is that guild master, who said he will always be punctual?"
Soon, the rest of the old men followed Esmund and the old lady as they scoffed at the owner of the voice.
That's right! The owner of the voice was none other than the famous guild master of the mercenary guild and these powerful old cultivators of around the same age as the guild master called him by the name 'Rae'.
"Sorry, fellow cultivators. I had to wait for Rulf and others along the way. So, I came late,"
When he saw those looks on Edmond and other's faces, he immediately asked him through voice transmission.
'Nothing'
Edmond shook his head as though there was nothing; however, Darbaudr could guess that it must be regarding his earlier action of directly sitting without asking for permission.
'At my peak condition, I am more powerful than them. So, of course, I didn't ask them for permission,' Darbaudr silently thought in his head as he looked at the guild master and waited for him to start the meeting.
There was nothing wrong in Darbaudr' thinking; however, it was wrong for Edmond and others as it might bring ire from these old powerful cultivators.

When he saw the rate at which the injury on the demon general's chest was healing along with his cultivation being breaking thought to the elite general realm, made Ajax serious.

Ajax's previous confidence disappeared when he had seen the scene in front of him and thought of escaping.
If he was nearer to the dimensional crevice, he could have easily escaped; however, it was impossible to escape now because the demon in front of him had broken through to the elite demon general realm.

When he heard those words, he raised his brows as he was sure that was not the main demon general; instead, he thought he was the demon king Gsrreth himself.
"The reason why I have waited until you come to the middle-section of the cursed wilderness is not to let you back into the dimensional crevice once again,"
The elite demon general slowly walked towards Ajax while saying why he had waited until now and casually waved his hand at Ajax's three elemental spirits.

As soon as he waved his hands, three small black orbs were thrown at them.
'Before I kill you, I will kill your elemental spirits...Haha,' the elite demon general laughed with an evil expression on his face.
