Currently, Aveline has successfully conquered the remaining four regions and met the conditions to enter the Core Region of the Floating Island.

However, before he could ask the Spirit of the Floating Island, someone sneaked an attack on him.

The one who pierced through his body was none other than the Veiled Vampire Emperor that Aveline had taken as his subordinate.

Maximus chuckled when he saw the expression on Aveline's face and nodded his head with a face full of satisfaction.

Maximus has been waiting for this day for a long time. Even though he had to surrender and become Aveline's subordinate in the middle, he never lost hope and secretly planned to take down Aveline.

"H-how did you remove the Bestial Mark I left in your Spirit Consciousness?"

Because of the pain, Aveline was speaking in a loud voice as he indirectly asked Maximus to kill him.

"Haha...don't worry. Even though what you are going through seems painful...oh sorry, it is really painful."

Maximus chuckled as he continued, "However, it won't kill you. Instead, the dagger in your body will decrease your pain tolerance to make sure you go through a lot of pain."

After finished saying what he wanted to say, Maximus asked, "Shall we go back to the Golden City that you built very dearly?"

"M-my Golden City?"

Hearing Maximus' words, made Aveline cough out a mouthful of black blood due to anger as he shouted at the top of his lungs, "Don't you dare touch my Golden City. It is the only thing that lets me communicate with my ancestor in the Heavenly Bestial Realm."

'Huh? Why the hell did I mention that?'

After saying that, Aveline realized that he said something he should not have said because now, Maximus would make sure to destroy the entire Golden City.

"Haha...I know that. That's why I am going to destroy the Golden City."

Aveline raised his brows when he heard Maximus' words because no one knew about the secret that he could communicate with the ancestor from the Heavenly Bestial Realm through the Golden City.
