Chapter 39: Chronus

Chapter 39: Chronus

"Well You see, when you spoke out your spell, whatever you said, I couldn't understand, and considering the time it took you to cast that spell, I'm guessing you spoke in Chronus, a language spoken by ancient magical beings that we have very little information about. All we know is that they just need to imagine what their magic does and use an activation word to use the spell. On top of that, to use that magic they would need a perfect mana core, which only exist in legends!" Lily exclaimed.

Realization dawned on Thea. Her [Language Talent (LVL.MAX)] skill description said she would be able to speak and understand any language, alive or extinct it never specificized, this would also explain its strangely high cost to upgrade it to max level. Thea didn't have a perfect magic core but she had one even better, so again, everything strangely worked out well in the end.

"I guess this is the result of maxing out all my skills and taking the best body modifications" Thea murmured to herself.

"I don't know how you learned Chronus, or how you have a prefect magic core, it's all good new!" Lily said happily and hugged Thea.

"You might want to learn silent casting, as having master the Chroniscus species language might attract a lot of attention." Lily said while hugging Thea.

"Do you know silent casting?" Thea asked, doubting Lily.

"Of course, the last spell I did out loud to show you some magic, here, look." Lily said as she stopped hugging Thea and lifted her hand. From her hand a small flame appeared, clearing Thea's doubt towards Lily.

"Ara, ara, you finally found our dinner." Lily said while smiling.

Thea didn't know what to answer, as Lily and herself were really rather strong and didn't need to worry about the beasts nearby, and if Lily had noticed it, but decided to set up camp here anyways, it couldn't be that dangerous.

Thea walked over to the side of the pond and started think about how she would deal with whatever was in the water. Making up her mind she spoke her spell.

"Lightning Strike." It was a larger, stronger form of Lightning Spear that would make a small dark cloud in the air before a large, powerful lightning strike hit the water, electrifying it. Not even 5 seconds later and a big, dead fish floated up to the surface.

As the lightning had defused already, Thea used some wind magic to move it closer and just reached out, picking up the 1.5 meter fish, bringing it over to the fire.

It had literally been a lifetime for Thea, since she last had fish, as her diet the past 12 years had primarily been meat, and now Thea was drooling, imagining the taste.

"Well hurry up, you will be cooking this trip remember? I'm looking forward to it already." Lily said smugly, while reminding Thea of her punishment.
