"I don't understand why we don't just put it in the our camping gear in my inventory?" Thea asked her mother as they filled their backpacks and started walking.

"It's good to do some things normally, I already let you bring spices, salts and other unnecessary things so don't complain." Lily said coolly as this wasn't the first time she had been asked this question by Thea.

"I'll start teaching you silent casting right now, if you don't bring up this question again during the trip. Deal?" Lily followed up, proposing a deal Thea had no choice but to accept.

From then till it started getting dark, Lily lectured Thea about silent casting. While it was silent, as the name suggests, each spell required more mana and the casting time became a little longer. Lily was explaining some of the history of the spell but Thea wasn't listening, she was secretly practicing her silent casting, making some air current float around herself.

As Lily was leading the way and Thea was following behind, she had no clue that Thea had zoned out and she had been talking to no one the past 5 hours.

"Understand?" Lily said as she turned around to see if Thea understood the details of silent casting.

When she did turn around, she frowned before she sighed. Thea was floating 10 small balls of water around her and out of nowhere an 11th ball appeared, proving she had used silent casting. Lily was originally angry that Thea didn't listen, but as she had already succeeded, it didn't matter anymore.

"Alright, we'll set up camp here." Lily said, slightly louder, gaining Thea's attention back.

"Sorry." Thea said, her expression showing a polar contradiction with her words, as she was smiling brightly.

The two then set up camp, ate some dried meat and went to bed.
